Bone broth with pork roll and beef brisket added. Also chose ramen noodles you get to choose from a few different options.

I have now been here twice since the rebranding. This place looks great. I was seated in the area outside of the sun room & then in the sun room itself. Each is spacious & can accommodate groups. I really loved the sun room area. Nice lighting & very welcoming - can't go wrong in either section. Service was excellent both times. I've been fortunate to have "Susan" twice. Very good! 1st visit - I had the soup. I may have put too much faith in the base options because my broth was not flavorful, even with the ingredients in there. Did not see add-on sauces nor any mention on the menu. So it was bland compared to what I have had at other neighborhood places known for their noodles. For the price, the appetizers were also underwhelming & average tasting. The egg rolls seemed more like smaller spring rolls. They didn't have better flavor than my current favorite in the neighborhood, Happiness, & those are really just your average but nice-sized, substantial egg rolls. I also had the crab rangoon, which was okay. No garnishes, outside of a meager sweet sauce that was also just whatever. Some of this is standard fare at a lot of places, so the question I ask myself is why would I choose a smaller portion with either barely equal or lesser flavor, or the same in some cases. There's no real differentiator. Perhaps they could try something like samplers of different sauces that could be brought out with the appetizers or left on the table after the staff points them out. I didn't realize it was a can of Coke for $3. I missed the can part, but the smaller glass I received led me to believe it was a tiny can. If it wasn't, the whole can should have been given to me so that I could at least get a full one. With the ice in the glass, there was no way I got the whole can. A disappointment, especially since for the price it was not a fountain option like at a couple of other places in the neighborhood. That felt like price-gouging to me. The second time, I was tempted back by their social media person on Instagram. After exchanging comments, I decided to go back after just a few weeks to mix it up & try something different, specifically what they are establishing themselves as being known for, Mongolian BBQ. This time I skipped appetizers because of my fear of another mediocre experience. I will pay a slightly higher amount for something special, but not for something that just takes up space & adds calories, though I was tempted by the seaweed salad since I love it elsewhere. I opted for a bowl with two proteins, chicken & beef, & loaded up on a variety of veggies. I loved the options available. They made the fried rice with an extra egg add-on & took my bowl with two different sauces on the side to add during grilling. Though I have had more generous portions at places like FlatTop Grill downtown, I will say I was overall pleased. I think the portion was much more in line with the price, though still a touch high, but I enjoyed the freshness & the preparation overall. Special note regarding the service. The grill guy was absolutely awesome & down to earth, offering to take my picture with my bowl when he saw me taking photos. He even let me get a picture of him with it first. Too bad my photo of him turned out blurry, but I loved the friendliness & the way he answered my questions. Susan was also around again & was a great source of information & encouragement. For a beverage, instead of repeating the Diet Coke frustration, I decided to try the $6 avocado smoothie. I really enjoyed the freshness & the just-right sweetness. I do not like overly sugary drinks. Though again higher than my normal Diet Coke options elsewhere, I was glad I tried it since it felt more in line with what makes the place special. I would get that again. All said & done, it is a bit on the pricier side for what you get. So many places have become this way, so that is not solely on them. I just wish there were some extra special touches or considerations that would help them stand out a little more while adding value. I originally was going to go with four stars, but when I reflected on the first experience being more food but more "meh" than "oh yeah," I felt three stars better represented the cumulative experience. It would also be nice if they provided water while you wait. That said, the freshness of my second meal & my satisfaction with the smoothie are encouraging me to go back again. I might even try the soup again, now that I know I may need to spice it up or add a few things to make it more fulfilling & flavorful, but I still have two other places in the neighborhood that offer stronger base flavor & are more filling at similar prices. The men's room was clean & clearly well-maintained, which is not always the case at nearby spots. I would recommend giving the grilling options a try, since that is something fairly unique in the area. I hope they succeed, especially because the staff has been so awesome.

I stopped by for a quick lunch and tried the build-your-own bowl option (haven't tried their à la carte dishes yet). For $13.99, it's definitely a great bang for your buck, especially if you're looking for something quick and filling. The restaurant itself felt open and spacious, with plenty of seating. They also have a few dedicated parking spots, which is a big plus since parking in the area can be tricky. I liked that the build-your-own bar uses defrosted (not frozen) meats, which made it easy to really load up the bowl. That said, the shrimp did shrink quite a bit after being cooked, but not a dealbreaker. The bowl comes with your choice of white rice or fried rice, which is nice. Flavor-wise, everything was decent and satisfying for the price, no complaints there. It's a solid, quick lunch spot, and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a convenient and affordable option if you're nearby and want something fast, filling, and customizable.

I came here with my girlfriend - she got the build your own noodle bowl, and I got the build your own stir fry with fried rice. I thought mine was pretty good since you can fill a bowl with as much protein, veggies, and carbs as you can. The fried rice it came with was pretty flavorful as well, so I was pleasantly surprised. The noodle bowl was very bland though. The worst part about it was that the fish balls had bone in them, and they had a weird taste to them.... It had a rubbery texture and didn't taste fresh. The service, however, was very nice. The lady that seated and took our order was very friendly. She checked up on us and showed me how to get the food. The ambiance is pretty nice. We sat in the room with windows all around, so it was a little chilly in there for some reason. However, the place looks very nice.

Finally stopped by to try this place across Antique Taco. Came here on a weekend and the place was not crowded. Seated at what I'd call a sunroom extension which was pretty and quaint looking, different from a normal Asian restaurant. This place also has a patio area and limited free parking spaces or you can always do street parking. Ordered their house special fried rice and noodle bowl. The fried rice was typical but with nice chunks of shrimp, beef and chicken meat. As for the noodle - you get a choice of the broth, noodle and protein (2). The broth was okay and the noodle was so-so...Nothing exceptional. For our next time, and there will be a next time, we'll try their hibachi bowl where you can pick and choose what you want as long as it fits the bowl for $13.99 and they cook it for you. Good ambiance and service and reasonable prices!

You cannot beat the prices for building your own bowl ($13.99) or noodle soup bowl ($10.99)! The broth for the soup was also surprisingly soo flavorful and you truly can get so much food for the affordable price. Great spot for lunch or dinner, and for large groups of people too. The staff was also so friendly!

Overall, it was a good meal. We started with the crab Rangoon and dumplings. The raccoon was really tasty, but the dumplings had a burnt taste to them and were extremely hot and burnt my tongue. We decided to split a house special fried rice and requested the shrimp be removed, but the shrimp was still in the rice when it arrived to the table. We also ordered the beef stirfry which was super tasty. We highly recommend. The service was really quick, quick and efficient overall it was nice music in a common environment.

The food was fresh and flavorful. I went with the create your own bowl option with chicken, noodles, green onions, fried egg, broccoli, and their sweet and chili sauce. The noodles were the perfect amount of soft that also held the flavors of the sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy and the vegetables were not mushy. It's easily two meals. The staff were also friendly and courteous. Would drive back to the neighborhood for this. I am terrible at reviews so this may sound too generic. Just go

Bold Mongol Mongolian Grill was a great surprise. The food was actually delicious, with tons of fresh options and great flavor, and the price is honestly unbeatable for how much you get. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. On top of that, the restaurant itself is very clean and nicely furnished, so it feels comfortable to sit and enjoy your meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

The order dashboard, the takeout bags, the efficiency, the consistency of mask wearing reminds me of the coffee/tea chains in mainland. Wow, I'm just so surprised to see it here. The shop is small but still had a lot of people. What's crazy was that the queue is so long from online orders. The efficiency is just like China tho, the queue moved quickly. The options and customization is so detailed. Honestly had no idea what I would start with, but the "popular" tags sort of helped me decide. I got a premium Jasmine milk tea hot with lowest sugar, tongmu lapsang salted cheese milk tea hot with lowest sugar, and pistachio jasmine coconut iced with lowest sugar. All of which had really good and strong tea flavor. The jasmine was the most noticeable, a bit more than I'm used to but really good. All of the drinks were good but not as creamy or thick or heavy as other places-- this is probably both a pro and con depending on how you like it. I didn't like the salted cap, not sure why it's green and tasted like matcha, shouldn't it be for the tongmu lapsang? Perhaps I should order it inside and have them put the cap in the drink. Overall, really happy with the flavors. I would definitely try out some of their other ones in the future. So glad to this Shenzhen chain having a location in Chicago.

We were lucky that this was located in that Chinatown mall because we got parking and we're able to walk directly up here. When I got here, there was no line there was one other patron waiting for her order. There are a couple screens where you put your order in and then they text you because they ask you for your phone number once your order is ready then you pick it up right on the left-hand side of where they're actually is a register. The one girl who was working here that day was very nice and friendly, but I don't think she totally understood me as I was trying to explain the benefits of leaving tip in cash versus tip on the card at the kiosk where you put your order in. We did order two drinks and both drinks are absolutely delicious. However the Taro milk Boba tea was a little bit chewy. You could obviously customize your toppings, the sugar amount, the iced amount, etc. that sounds pretty standard. The flavors were delicious and super fresh so frankly, if this came out of a can or out of powder, it definitely didn't taste like it. Really top quality and great taste for the price. I believe each drink was $6.25 which puts it right at par with a lot of its competitors in Chinatown. Also, if you order some of the unique drinks that come in a unique square cup, believe it or not. The location is completely decked out in their pink. It's very cute and I assume was really put together for the purpose of social media pictures as you can see from the pictures I took. I would definitely come back here again as it is unique however, a lot of the menu is pretty similar across the Boba competitors located in this exact same mall as well.
