I have read many bad reviews of this place but I always enjoy my experience. I typically go inside for face to face when buying food from this place. I aleays find the staff friendly and helpful. If you go inside they usually, well at least for me offer to make me fresh chicken. When they do not, the food I am given tastes fresh anyway. They offer a military discount. I am not sure of the percent because they just give it to me when I show my ID. The place is always clean. It is rately busy. I do not eat here as often as I crave to. Oh. The fries are awesome. I stopped here last night the customer service was awful. When ordering, you are speaking to an automated system. Which had more interaction with me than thee young girl with the headset running the register. (She was clueless and rude). I ordered 2 BBQ sandwiches and a two piece dark. I pulled around to the window the young girl is standing at the window with her back against the glass. She finally opens the window and I asked for my total. I then tell her, I wanted to take one of the sandwiches off. She relays it to the rude girl that I clearly saw putting the foil and bread on the counter, "she only wants one sandwich." She then instructed the girl at the window to close the window. I watched as the person preparing the food rolled her eyes and mouth explicit words. I was then directed to go park while I waited for my food. I should have told them never mind. I waited for my food for over 15 minutes. Just to get a cold and damn near meatless BBQ sandwich and the chicken that was hot, but breading was overly thick and the inside was raw. The window girl brought the food out and she has no customer service skills, no manner, nothing. Just awkward and rude. I looked in the bag, no condiments, no napkins, no receipt. There's always something wrong here. Zero stars if I could. I was excited to move close to a bojangles since it's not something we have up North. Wishful thinking, this place stinks lol. When I first moved to this area, a friend was showing me around and literally said "she drives almost 30 mins away to a diff location b/c this one was horrible". She was NOT lying. This location is the BOTTOM of the barrel. I've come 30 mins after opening once on my way to the airport and had to wait almost 20 mins for my food. The food wasn't ready but the girls were sitting outside by the garbage talking... The staff is ALWAYS outside talking to their friends or smoking while talking to their friends. No, I didn't take pics because I don't like taking pics of other ppl without their knowledge. Once after church, we sat in line for over 30 mins... were they short staffed? No. The host said they just had a lot of orders. The last time I came here, they told me their only accepting cash and their machines are down. However, this isn't the first time that's happened. By far the worst service I think I've ever experienced at any fast food restaurant. After the fourth time, they finally got the order right which was just a sausage and egg biscuit and a drink. I have been here before and have always received great food and service. This time however I ordered chicken sandwiches with fries and a drink. Chicken was 2/3 normal size and warm. Fries were very old, dry, hard, and cool. Paid 19 and change with no receipt. I get it the fast food industry is dying and needs money, but for what we have to pay food should be first rate. Absolutely terrible food and experience. Very understaffed and lack of competence of those there for the most part. A long drI've through line so we went inside to order. We were 2nd in line. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to the front to take orders and then at least 10+ minutes to get 2 sausage and cheese biscuits. By this time, there were7 people waiting for orders. Once we finally got the order, we did eat some of it but the biscuits had a very rancid odor- like some ingredient in the biscuit had gone bad. Hoping we do not get sick and will probably never eat Bojangles again. We are sad ans we do enjoy it on occasion. The front line worker was very apologetic about the wait and was doing her best to serve the customer. Used to like this location on George Washington Blvd, but I will never go to any bojangles location again. Ordered the 8 piece meal with sweet tea and bo rounds mac n cheese and coleslaw. I got unsweet tea, some dry up bo rounds that they said had to be cooked and no coleslaw, the biscuits had one soft spot in the middle, dry and hard as a rock. Had to wait for chicken to be cooked and that was dry and hard. I think the grease needs to be changed. I called back and the girl said you can come back up here but it was a 10 mile drive. She said I'll take your name and give you the sweet tea and coleslaw next time. I wish I could give this place a zero. They need new employees or shut it down. So incompetent and rude employees. Don't even want to give you a receipt. When a place won't give you a receipt there is some kind a stealing going on. Check it out!! read more

I visited this location as I had enjoyed Bojangles in the past. The people were friendly. Service was timely. It was a drive-thru visit, so I did not go inside. The food was hot and made right off. The problem came when I went to eat. The food had a flavor of old grease. It all had a flavor of just funk. I couldn't eat but one bite. I threw the rest away it was that awful. This location has recently been opened after lengthy closure. I had a curiosity of this location. I love chicken based food. I do believe that I will not be back to this location. I have been in this area for 10 years, and only been to this location twice. I may visit other Bojangles locations but not this one. read more

Twice this morning I asked for two large Bo rounds. Twice I got a large Bo rounds and a large fry. I asked for two sandwiches, one sausage biscuit and one biscuit with bacon and cheese. I only got one sandwich with the first set of bo rounds and fries I didn't ask for. The sandwiches were correct with the second set of bo rounds and fries I didn't ask for. The staff was frustrated because someone who sounds like a manager decided to call off and they were short staffed and overwhelmed with only a few cars in the drive thru. Everyone had to order then either park or come inside to get their order. Serious lack of management and accountability here. The profanity being used due to the frustration of the situation was wild. Praying this place makes some changes because the food is great and the staffs efforts were there but they can only do so much. read more

Pulled up and the drive through attendant said hold on a moment. I've now been sitting here for long enough that all the cars behind me already pulled off. My truck makes some noise too, so there is no way they don't hear it. It's almost as if they are waiting for me to pull off so as not to do business with me or other guest. What they don't know is I am petty and I will sit here till they take my order... This is near a busy intersection. I'm not sure what has happened but they have went MIA inside. " Hold on a moment? I went there today and the drive thru was closed, per usual. This has happened quite a lot here. The lady who I guess was the manager told me, she was rude about it. I was hesitant but went in anyways. The inside was very damaged. The cabinets were busted up and broken, it was dirty inside. The cashier was apologetic and polite, which is why I stayed. None of them wore hair nets, and gave dirty looks as well. I got my food and left for home only for my fries to be hard and stale. Unbelievable. This place needs some serious work. read more

This is the second time my boyfriend and I have went to this Bojangles. We have yet to order what we like. The first time we went we were told that they "were not serving breakfast" when the drive thru menu states "all day breakfast". The second time we pulled up to the drive thru hoping to have a better outcome than the first time we were told the ONLY thing they had was bone-in chicken. No sausage, no tenders, no biscuits. I went to at 7:45 PM to get some fries, pulled up to the drive through and there was a sigh that said they were open from 11-8 No breakfast. As I waited for the worker to take my order they said over the intercom that they were closed. Probably the worst Bojangles I've been to. Staff was nice, but the food was not great. Fries were disgusting and stale and the rest was fairly bland. This place also has a very off atmosphere where I felt like getting out of there as soon as possible. Bathrooms were clean though, so that's a plus. read more

The boy at the window had a horrible attitude. He gave us the wrong meal and still charged us for it. After, waiting 20 minutes to receive my food he brought out a whole different order it was still not the right order and the food was COLD. Okay! WTAHeck is with the mouse in the picture???? I learned about this amazing magical Bojangles place that serves up good old Southern comfort food, from a show I used to watch, Ruby. Revolved around Ruby's life, all her struggles and triumphs while being morbidly obese. She and her friends loved Bojangles. The food looked so good. Looked it up, not one in NJ. So a few years later, we move to VA and find out that Bojangles is just Everywhere. I'm all excited to try the food. Had to go there. Had to. Why do we come back home, ready to enjoy our Southernie soul comfort breakfast, and I find a hair in my food? We threw it out right after, just so grossed out. A few months later, we are like, let's just give Bojangles one more try. I mean, that hair could have been a one time thing. Maybe that nasty person doesn't even work there anymore. Give it another go. We go get a meal again, come back home, ready to eat, we find another hair in the food. OMG! That was it. Both times we went to this Bojangles location. And after that, we were both like, NEVER AGAIN! Just disgusting. Once I find a hair or just something in my food that isn't supposed to be there, like for example, finding a staple in my sweet potato sushi! That's a review for another day. But once I find something in my food, my brain is just like: ADDED TO YOUR PERMANENT NEVER EVER LIST! My trust is lost for that place, sometimes like in this case, the whole establishment will never be visited again. I seriously hope they expand and open a location in the west coast. In Northeast Los Angeles to be exact. This place is known is for their chicken and biscuits and it didn't disappoint. Yea it's fast food and similar to Popeye's, but just a tad bit better overall in my opinion. The item on the menu that really surprised me was the egg and cheese biscuit. It doesn't sound like anything special, but believe me, when you try it your going to want all your biscuit sandwiches to taste just as good. The egg wasn't your typical McD's microwaved egg either. It's scrambled, seasoned well with cajun spices, and made to order. The biscuits here are flaky, buttery, airy, and delicious unlike KFC's which are dense, bland, and terrible. The buttery biscuit with a perfectly cooked egg and slice of American cheese that brought it all together to make the perfect biscuit sandwich is something that I now crave. It sucks to know that I won't be able to have it whenever I please. Damn you Bojangles! I can't forget to mention their freshly made famous sweet iced tea, which was absolutely one of the best iced teas I've had at any fast food chain. read more

Once again this location is not doing it's job. The sign says open 5:30 to10 but they must mean 10 am. If you go there after dark...forget about it. They don't want to be there and it shows. Been there twice in two weeks and both times "the system is down" In the past 3 months they have been "out of eggs, out of milk," and once "out of chicken fingers"...how does this happen at a CHICKEN restaurant? If I was the owner of this franchise location I would be checking my computers and finding a new staff. Poor management will cost you your business and put a bad vibe about the Bojangles franchise. If zero stars was an option, this is the place for it! Grew up in North Carolina where Bojangles was a favorite. We moved to Texas for 10 years and were excited to be back near a Bojangles in Virginia. EVERY single time we visited this location it was awful. Raw chicken on a breakfast biscuit, not serving breakfast (when the menu says it serves all day), multiple times when the "card reader wasn't working", waiting 30 minutes on chicken to be made only for our order to be given to someone else, wrong orders, and horrible attitudes. We will drive an extra 30 minutes to the location near Langley when the Bojangles hunger strikes. Never again going to this one! read more

Let me first start of by saying or for some "warning" to access the parking log entrance if you are driving from Jefferson Ave on Ft. Eustis Blvd, you have to be attentive because it's a tricky right and sudden left turn you have to take just BEFORE you reach George Washington Hwy. Now ... first a tip; Bojangles has all you can eat for either $7 or $8.99 every Sunday and Wednesday which includes chicken and sides. You get one drink but no free refills. I like Bojangles chicken. It's always freshly cooked and juicy with just the right amount of crispiness. They could do with a tad bit more seasoning for my liking, but it's close. Sides are akin to your KFC, Popeyes quality so don't expect too much there out of the ordinary. I can say that if you're a grits fan, during breakfast hours they do serve grits and they are a pleasant surprise meaning they are quite tasty. Not everyone can cook grits and they seem to pull it off quite well. One important note, ID card checks are required for ALL credit card/debit transactions so be prepared and not surprised. read more

After a 42 minute wait in the drive thru and witnessing more than one employee in the parking lot (one telling us she had to collect her damn thoughts) we had to repeat our order at least 4 times, clearly stating we wanted large drinks and steak egg and CHEESE biscuits. We get to the window where we can clearly see the girl making medium drinks. My boyfriend reminds her they were supposed to be large and all she says is "they won't rang up that way." No offer to fix or even pay a little more to fix, we were just handed our drinks. (Which we decided to brush off) After waiting another 5-7 minutes at the window for food we looked for a number to contact the owner, which was not visible. Finally our food came so we checked it at the window. No cheese any all 3 biscuits. We let them know and received a smug face and the girl walked away. A few minutes later a woman appearing to be the manager gave us a box. When we asked what this was we opened in front of her and see 3 cold pieces of cheese. She said "y'all wanted cheese, right?" Dumbfounded with her looking at us like we had a problem, we drove off. I have contacted corporate and will be leaving this review everywhere I can.
