Chicken breast plate, with mashed potatoes & brown gravy, and their signature buttery biscuit
    Tish S.

I had never been to a Bojangles, but had heard their chicken was pretty good and their biscuits nice and buttery... so when my ride didn't come to pick me up at my dentist's just before they closed, I decided to play Frogger and dodge cars on four lanes of very busy traffic to see if they met expectations... Having survived the traffic... *PHEW*... I went inside to an empty restaurant as it WAS between lunch and early dinner shifts, and was greeted cheerfully by a sweet gal who let me peruse the menu board and asked me helpful questions. I settled on the chicken breast plate with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and one of their big biscuits... along with a large sweet tea. It didn't take long to get my tray, and it looked GOOD! I got my drink from the drink station along with my utensils, napkins, and seasonings. Headed to a booth by the front windows to eat and *wait*... and I was NOT disappointed by the food. The chicken was perfection... not greasy nor overly fried. Just the right amount of crisp. Yum! The potatoes were creamy and just firm enough for the delicious brown gravy. The biscuit was nice and hot and buttery... nom nom NOM!!! I kinda had a foodgasm as this was brunch after I had my teeth cleaned... LOL! (Kinda wanna floss now, though ; ) if you know what I mean...) I recommend this place as I truly loved every bite. Haven't been to the one where I live in Shelbyville yet... gotta see how they measure up now!

This is my husbands favorite place to stop when we are traveling. Because you can get a spicy chicken cutlet biscuit any time of day at any location for a good price. Instant heartburn served with a smile! They also have fried chicken on the bone, chicken fingers... basically everything chicken, but a little more country tasting than the other chicken fast-food chains.

The fried chicken is cooked to order so I went with the white meat option (breast and wing) and I added a thigh. For sides I selected the pinto beans, cabbage, and sweet potatoes along with a fountain drink. You may have to wait 15 minutes for the chicken...but the chicken Adrian serves up would make your Granny jealous. This was some of the best fried chicken I've had in a very long time, crispy skin that was not overly seasoned and the meat was tender and juicy. While the chicken was excellent, the sides were saying "you ain't tasted nothing yet"!!! Pinto beans had a great depth to the flavor with a rich sauce and tender beans. The sweet potatoes were not overly sweetened (like candied) and you could taste the sweet potato, slightly firm, and reminded me of Thanksgiving. I saved the best for last...the cabbage. Many times cabbage offered is just boiled, but Adrian adds some secret ingredients and it is awesome. So while the meat was excellent, the sides are created in true Southern tradition. Several homemade desserts were available...but I was stuffed. The location may be difficult to get into with traffic, but the food that awaits you is well worth it. Pay Adrian a visit and enjoy some good old home cooking right here in Murfreesboro.

Sat down and Megan brought me a menu while sharing some of the "must haves" here. I ordered the Philly Sirloin steak sandwich (this is not a Philly cheesesteak for all you purists out there) and the Tater Tornado as an appetizer. The Tater Tornado gives you the best of both worlds...potato chips and french fries and they are really good. I sprinkled a little salt on em, dipped in ranch dressing, they are addicting!!! This steak sandwich is solid! The steak had some nice grill char, great flavor, and is very tender. The veggies caramelized while the smoked gouda cheese is a really nice touch. Even the "side" of cole slaw was very good, fresh, and crunchy. While I was eating Megan brought some fried pies to a table and they smelled incredible. So I ordered a blueberry one to go and suffered in my SUV the whole way home smelling it. These pies alone are worth the drive out here...absolutely delicious! Without a doubt the best homemade blueberry fried pie I've ever enjoyed. Really great food, nice serene country setting, and friendly service. Well worth the drive out to Rockvale!!!
