Trash in the ground going through the drive thru
Stacey A.

Okay so not impressed when I pulled up because of the trash n the grounds. But my mom really wanted bojangles and this was the second one we came to because the last one did not have any chicken. Customer service was good. They had everything we requested except when we got ready to pay there was no dirty rice. Staff were talking and laughing with one another so loudly we could hear in our car. Food was good though. Mom was happy with her chicken and the Cajun pinto beans that came with her meal. 3 stars. Trash on the grounds doesn't exactly make one feel good about the food they're going to eat.

Long string of hair fried onto the chicken leg!!

I went thru the drive thru and order chicken legs and side of gravy. Y'all there was literally a LONG black piece of hair fried into the chicken! I am sick to my stomach!!! I'm definitely calling corporate abt this! Ugh so gross!!! Stay away from here!!

2 piece fixing

Whenever I'm in town, I always go to Bojangles' for a fixing because it's some of the best fried chicken I've had. I learned the hard way that I need to come to NC for it to be right. I love their fries, their chicken and their biscuits. The biscuit here was really crispy on the outside, soft, tender and moist on the inside. It was also flaky and falling apart in your mouth, literally the best biscuit -- this is on the level of a Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit (if you know you know). I didn't like that they didn't have any chicken breast at 2:50pm. It's not lunch rush, but still and she said it'd take 20 minutes to make. I decided to pass on that. I ended up getting a 2 piece ( a wing and a thigh), and it came with two sides. I probably should've asked for double fries but decided to do 1 green beans and 1 fry. The green beans just weren't good, tasted and smelled weird. The chicken is good but I've had better at a different location. The fries were seasoned well. I'd come back if I'm in the area, and I do recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for Bo's. They have a drive through and free parking on premise, and their dining room is open too.

Sausage egg biscuit

Was always told to check out Bojangles, and finally had a chance for breakfast one morning. I ordered a sausage egg biscuit meal and asked to make my own iced coffee. Service was a bit slow, and the cashier seemed a bit frustrated with me wanting to make iced coffee that's not on the menu. The wrapper of my sandwich said chicken, but I just figured maybe it was the wrappers they use. I opened it, and sure enough, I got one of their many pre-made chicken biscuit sandwiches. I took it back, and the same cashier gave me a hard time to keep it and if I can give it to someone because they had to throw it away. I insisted I didn't have anyone to give it to and forced it back to get my sausage egg biscuit. The entire meal was really overly greasy, even for fast food. The coffee was not my favorite either. Overall, I tried it, but would rather have breakfast elsewhere.

This residue has to have been there when they filled my cup. No wonder they have such a low rating. The cashier in the drive-up was rude. Bo-rounds kept me coming back for a sec butttttt i think I'm done now. Whatever this is in the cup, it is NOT the sweet tea I just finished drinking... disgusting!!!!!!

Very good fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was moist and flavorful with a nice crispy outer crust. Very simple but also very good.

It was alright, nothing special. I'm from New York so I thought it would be something new and exciting but to me it was like KFC.

Salty, buttery, soft biscuit filled with freshly cooked eggs, smokey bacon, and cheese; I was instantly in love.

The guy that took our order was super chill and even gave recs for the spice level my group and I should get. All the food took about 10 mins to be prepared. We were able to grab a seat in the dining area while we waited. We got a variety of sliders, tenders, and fries. All the ingredients were fresh ingredients and the fries were crunchy and seasoned well. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the sauce if you need more. Glad Dave's are nationwide, bc this experience made me want to try them again.

it's hot, it's chicken, there's even a Dave (but possibly just in a marketing sense at this point…read more I dunno...) came in for a little something between work and the coffee thing later in the day because nothing says relaxifying like bird chunks and fries. dining room looks clean so the pungency must be the guy ahead of me in line... order on the right, pickup on the left, wait outside sitting next to traffic because it's better that way. my #4 (slider plus fries) is ready pretty quick so I grab it and hasten back to the great outdoors to examine my bounty in the warm fresh air. longish slab o' crunchy chicken sticking out both sides of the bun and topped with slaw, pickle, and saucy sauce with more pickles and sauce on the side alongside a respectable pile of hot, crisp, and too salty crinkle cut fries that ate pretty well regardless ;-) slider is almost a chicken shooter; dip the ends in the sauce, bite of chicken, bite of pickle, repeat as necessary until you're holding a chicken sandwich... overall a fair meal at a reasonable cost. all freshly prepared and served piping hot and crunchy; dine in, dine out, carry out, however you wanna do this it'll get you fed and it might even set Peter's eat-o-meter to whirling.

We tried their food a few times as to go and recently ate inside the restaurant for the full…read moreexperience. I don't eat beef or pork so I was glad to see their chicken BBQ options. I ordered their pulled chicken sandwich on Texas Toast meal with Mac & Cheese and fries. My husband wanted to try more of the sides so he ended up getting their 3 side plate (fried okra, baked bean, and corn pudding). Their Special on Tuesdays is their bone in ribs. There was anything that we tried and didn't like. City BBQ is now our go to spot when we're in the area or if we can't decide what we want to eat.

Do not EVER rely on City Barbecue for an online order!…read more My recent experience with City Barbecue left me genuinely shocked. I placed an order for what was supposed to be a special New Year's Eve dinner, only to find out that when we went to pick up the food at 7:45 pm, they had run out of food, and the manager, Kendall, could not have cared less. I had an order number and confirmation text, and to quote the manager, Kendall, 'Sorry for the inconvenience'. Really? That is the extent of your apology? It was much more than an 'inconvenience' to find out at 7:45 that we were not going to have any food for our guests. When I asked why we weren't notified earlier, Kendall blamed the online order system that he said didn't work properly. That didn't make sense because I ordered it from their website. When I said if they had notified us, we could have planned something else, he said they didn't have time to look at the online orders, even though I placed the order TWO HOURS PREVIOUSLY. So, if you plan on ordering from them, you now know they aren't checking the orders, and if they run out, you won't be notified. Kendall did offer to substitute pulled chicken, but I would have to pay for it. It seems like some offer of a discount would have made sense. But in keeping with the entire experience he didn't care enough to bother. I was informed that David Steiger is the Regional Director. He should be aware of the customer service provided by his manager. Don't make the mistake I made and EVER rely on City Barbecue for an important occasion.
