Then once you have your perfect burger built then decide how many fries you want with that. I always have the regular order of fries with my sandwich. That means that in your bag you will get a full cup of hot fries with another full scoop of fries in your bag. The fries at Five Guys are the real attraction. They are the best fries now available in America. The reason is they are made from real fresh potatoes. There are no frozen fries served here. We did a pick up order through DoorDash. They told me that my fries were still being worked on which I appreciated. Since I was waiting on fries they gave me a cup for a free fountain drink for the "inconvenience". I wouldn't even call it an inconvenience, all the men back there were polite and just kind! I came about 45 min before closing and the place was very steady. I really wish this place had sauerkraut and deli mustard for the hotdogs. $5.40 is kinda steep for a plain hotdog. But it's not going to taste like a $1.50 hotdog from QT. And everything is a la cart so be warned when ordering. Order with little in front of it if you're not super hungry. A regular burger is an automatic double. Their fries are the best though! I really enjoyed my burger I got the little bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries. The fries were fresh crispy and well seasoned. I had the veggies for my sandwich put on the side because they're typically cold and makes the burger cool pretty quickly during transport to home. This burger really reminded me of why I love burgers. While the food was great the service was terrible, I waited 30 minutes exactly for two burgers and a little fry. That's not including the 6 minutes I stood and waited for someone to acknowledge my presence and take my order. Very disappointing!!!! Just met one of the most " over zealous GM"'in my life. Mr. Paul the GM , customer service was horrible. I went in to correct an order after waiting 45 mins the night before for a simple order. I called back spoke with a nice young lady , I was given the wrong food. I used my business card which tracks all transactions and receipts. I went in to show the over zealous GM this transaction on my iPhone. He immediately cuts me off in the middle of my explanation. He stared " without a receipt I can't do anything ". Contrary to the other reviews service here was so horrible after waiting twenty minutes inside for an order I called in before leaving my house which is ten minutes away I ended up leaving with no food. Every single worker in the place went to the back kitchen while I was standing in the lobby waiting. This is the closest location to my home but I think the trip to central avenue location across town will be a better fit for me from now on. I am beyond thrilled that the University area has a 5 guys! We were desperately in need of more fast casual restaurants, and five guys absolutely delivers in this regard. The concept is simple and because of this, they have been so successful! Pro tip: The "Little" Hamburger is so filling and cheaper than the regular! Also try your burger "all the way" and you will love all the delicious toppings on a perfectly grilled beef patty. Now the thing that truly puts five guys over the edge is the fries. These fries are made from real potatoes in house and fried to perfection. Try the Cajun seasoning if you are feeling daring and don't forget the malt vinegar if you want to bring back memories of county fairs. The prices are on point with other fast casual but have a much better product than say Hwy 55 or Smashburger.
