I will come back to this Bojangles for a decent fried chicken. However, I can't earn more than two pieces for the strong salt and msg chemicals that might have been used for treating the chicken meat. Visited this location after coming home from Louisiana and I was craving a country ham biscuit and mashed potatoes. Pulled up to the window and ordered two ham biscuits. Before I could add that I wanted mashed potatoes the guy told me my total... I wasn't done, Andrew. I said "and" after, then added the mashed potatoes and a sweet tea to my order. Pulled up to the window and it took FOREVER for him to take my card. When he opened the window he at least asked how I was, only good thing out of this visit. He gave me my sweet tea.. it tasted old. Very old. He gave me the rest of my food and my card back with no receipt. To add on some more: no fork or spoon or "spork" was given to me, the guys shirt was soaked (don't know if it was sweat or what) and the picture below is what my biscuit looked like... How the heck is this place even still in business? I showed up to pick up a doordash and after I was there and it was the quoted time it was literally supposed to be ready by, they hadnt even started the order. I then waited FOURTY minutes for my order to finally be made and it was a 5 item order and the restaurant was EMPTY. There wasn't a single person in the waiting room near the entire time I was there. It seemed like there was only 4-5 employees working too. Whoever is the general manager for this location obviously doesn't care at all about making it anything quality. Pretty disappointed with them after our latest, and now probably last, order. The meal was wrong (we wanted to substitute a few tenders in the 12 piece meal since they got rid of all of the normal combo box meals for some reason), they didn't fix the order when it was pointed out that it was wrong (received 12 tenders and no regular chicken) and they charged the wrong amount on top of it (unless the sales tax rate in Blacksburg is now 25%). Food quality was ok except the included gravy was barely half full (and it's just a couple ounce countainer anyway) and the extra side order of mac and cheese was put in the small gravy container size and not the normal individual size (it's approx 3-4 bites worth). The tenders were not raw or pink but could have used another minute in the fryer...not worried about eating them but they were just "slightly" off. The review should probably be 1 star to be honest but I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was "technically" all correct and nothing was seriously wrong with it. We also appreciate them even being open during the COVID shutdowns in the local area. read more

Not the cleanest and I personally won't eat from a dirty place, but nevertheless I still bought some chicken breasts (I prefer white meat) from them and it wasn't the best and the chicken itself wasn't fully cleaned. Don't let all the negative reviews dissuade you from stepping inside. It seems like they must've gotten their acts together because the service and the food was right on point. Harrison understood customer service. He repeated my order to me, chatted while my food was being prepared, and made sure that everything was included in my order. I can't speak on behalf of the rest of the stores, but in the past year, the quality of the food at this location (particularly the biscuits) as well as the mood of the staff has taken a nosedive. I can't say they were rude, but they were all mad at something or somebody. I don't know if it's a quality control (or lack of) issue or a change in the product (repeat: biscuits) but this place use to be a class act. This is a pretty random rating for me as I've eaten at hundreds of fast food restaurants in my day, but this Bojangles was no joke the cleanest fast food restaurant I've ever been in. It was sparkling. I don't know if I came right after a deep cleaning or something but I was impressed. Whoever cleans it should get a raise or at least a high five. Also, the dude at the register was a super nice guy despite my Bojangles inexperience and bumbling indecision. The food was solid, about what you'd expect I'm sure. Going through the drive-through was told it would be at least 15 minutes because they did not have any dark meat. I asked him just to substitute white meat and there was a significant up charge to do so when it was their fault they didn't have any other food ready. Your typical Bojangles food, attached to a gas station a few miles from Virginia Tech and only feet from the highway. It's an easy place to fill up, use the bathroom, grab a Bo-Berry Biscuit and get back on the road. It's also a great place for a quick meal if you are staying at the Courtyard which is very close (walking distance). Small location, but packs the same Bojangles good fast food. read more

I love Bojangles as a whole but this establishment is hands down one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Most Bojangles I've ever been to have been clean and tidy, quick service, and friendly associates. Not this one. Every time I've been to the one at this location, they've told me it'll be at least a 5 minute wait until any chicken or biscuits are ready. Umm...last time I checked the name of your restaurant is Bojangles Famous CHICKEN 'N BISCUITS. If that's not ready then what is?? Oh yeah, and for Christmas I was given a Bojangles gift card that I specifically saved for when I went back to school, only to find out this location's gift card reader "doesn't work." Great customer service. I will not be going back any time soon and will be taking my business to the one in Radford, despite the 25 minute drive it is from Blacksburg. I used to go to Bojangles once a week sometimes more, then I stopped after I was overcharged and my drink was wrong the chicken crust instead of crunchy it was soggy. So I decided to go back tonight after six months, I ordered two breast dinner I got breast and wing no receipt, my coleslaw was nasty, there only a touch of gravy on the potatoes, they did not have sweet potato pie as usual and my drink was wrong. The crust on the chicken was nothing but fatty. I threw 3/4 of it in the trash can. What a waste of money. I should have listened to my gut from the last time I went.
