I drive almost like an hour from OC to here just to try out how much different of this location campare to the other one. It did not disappoint me at all. I ordered the Taiwanese soup for myself cuz i always like the spicy taste of it. Notes, I asked our server is this place the same like the other and she said no this is owned by different chain, i guess so it is a littlw different. Yea, for me it is much different. The soup base, seafood, meat, and cabbage are all so fresh and tasty. Not like the other place, i feel like they just throw the stuffs left over in the fridge into our hot pot. Lolz. Another plus one for this location, the Taiwanese come only in small size. Yes, you heard it right. Everything come in small size, no large for this one. This is absolutely perfect for me. I can enjoy my hot pot without worry have to take togo home. There is also special thing about this place. You can order the Jins tea from next door which is also owned by boiling point. I love their brown sugar pearls that they put inside the tea. You should also try the organic milk too. Not too sweet. Me and my friend order jins tea each for us at the boiling point, then end up to walk to jins tea shop next door later to order another two, just to bring home. Haha why not? Will i come back to this far away location. Yes, but probably just for lunch on weekend. The parking you have to pay and little hard to find. So i guess at night will be super crowded and traffic for us from OC to over here too. But i will love to take more friends over here to try out. read more

Had the Angus Hot Soup. Flavorful enough, but lacking in the savory category, and pretty spicy for a mild order. Not worth the cost: $20 for some decent soup and a side of rice. Was wondering if BP was open during COVID-19 times and it is! (at least this location). However, its only pick up and delivery. We ordered through Doordash but heard other food delivery services are also available. Our hotpot bowl came on time and hot! The broth was properly seasoned (I have had watery/tasteless broth at other locations before) and they gave us enough dipping sauces. The portions served felt a tiny bit smaller than when you go in person but not by a lot (I was still very satisfied though). The only thing that bothered me is that I didn't get my order credited to my BP rewards card, but its ok I guess. Also, normally for lunch (or maybe other locations) they have the special where you get the tea included but it wasn't for our order. It was definitely worth it and will be ordering again! read more

Good hot soup. Had the curry soup and with the garlic peanut sauce it was great. They come around if you would like more broth. I couldn't find my extra egg in my soup but it was probably lost among everything they put in it. I love vermicelli noodles so yeah good soup. The past two times I have been, my friends and I have been over looked while we were waiting to be seated. This first time we waited for about 30 minutes and saw numerous people that came after us seated. The next time we waited about an hour and a half and the same thing happened. Came to this location for the first time and I was excited up until I woke up at 3am with a biggest stomach flu of my life. I've eaten boiling point many times at 626 and never fails to make me sick. The portion size they serve at Pasadena for the price they charge is ridiculous. Service is a 10. Everyone was very attentive. However, the hot pot needs more meat and other veggies. Boiling point, you have embarrassed me. I introduced my friend to you guys for the first time and she was charged $2 for a string cheese cut into four pieces. It was a complete rip off for something that small. My friend treated me for my birthday and I wished I said to go to a different hot pot place today. Flavors are not as good compared to what was offered before. You guys need to rethink how much to charge for certain things and how to keep the same quality for the food!!!! read more

Came here with my family and had a great meal! The wait is a little long so I'd plan on getting there a bit early (we were there at like 7 pm on a Friday.) I was very disappointed with this place. Definitely not kid friendly at all. I went there with great expectations after reading all the reviews but when we got there it was a bad experience from the beginning. We got seated and the people who were seated after us had a larger party and they got served first. I didn't understand that. We had 2 kids with us who love noodle soup and I asked the waiter for simple noodle soup with the corn in it and he brought out the dry noodles with cold corn, so I asked because it was my first time what am I suppose to do with it? He told me to add the noodles and corn to my soup and cook it that way... Ok I guess that's how it worked but ummm hello! I orderd spicy Japanese soup and you are telling me I need to cook my kids noodles in spicy broth they are 4 and 6, they can't handle that spicy level. I was so confused so then I asked for 2 small bowls and he figured out by that time what I was trying to do and offered to add soup to the bowl of dry noodles and corn but guess what that soup in the refill metal jar is tepid warm only. I couldn't believe it so then I asked for a separate hot plate so I can cook the noodles and corn my Self since he wasn't understanding that my kids wanted noodle soup also and he told he couldn't do that. He then offers to cook the noodles with the corn in the kitchen after he knew my kids were there to eat also and he couldn't even get that right. He brought me back noodles that were cooked but with no broth!!!!! they were hot soggy noodles with a hot little tiny corn. The grand finale is my soup was getting so dam hot and I didn't know I could turn of the fire I burned my toungue pretty bad. It has been 4 days and my toungue still hurts. The waiter took to long to get me my Check and after waiting almost 30 minutes for my card I had to go up to the counter and pay. They hadn't even charged my card yet it was just sitting there. The only good thing about that place was the taste of the soup. The service was not great at all. Awesome Taiwanese soups, we tried the one with beef and the one with lamb. I would definitely recommend the beef more so since it was less chewy then the lamb. Although the lamb made for a really nice broth. All the spice levels are kind of understated, my soup came out waaay too spicy so be cautious. Best one out of all the boiling points. From service to food and quality everything is better. You can upgrade here for more add ins and you can also add more meat (although they give more meat here than the other locations). Service here is great, you don't have to wait around for someone to help you, they are constantly checking up on you, people are def more friendly. They also offer Taiwanese pudding as dessert and have a tea shop right next door which uses organic milk and good tea leafs. Would def come to this one from now on :) read more

This is the only Boiling Point I've gone to and I love it! The angus beef bowl is so delicious and even more delicious when paired with the sauce found in the jars on each table. The BP Classic bowl is also very good. As a side, you can either choose white or brown rice. I usually choose white rice. Parking is very convenient. FREE 90 minute parking in lot down the street. They changed the menu format and the drink menu since I've last been to a boiling point. This location was small and wasn't busy but it was a Thursday at 2:30 pm. I always order the beef hotpot and got it medium this time which was too spicy for this wimp. The sauce is yummy as usual. I was going to order a drink but noticed they no longer offer Hokkaido milk tea, I forgot to ask if it was renamed to something else. The service was awesome and the servers were very attentive. i think prices have gone up. i ended up spending $22 for a lamb pot + a drink. i dont remember ever spending this much at boiling point before. still tastes good but i think the prices are ridiculous now especially when there are other great hotpot places. also, boiling point has become so hyped these past couple years that you always have to wait SO long to get seated. this particular location, i waited 1 hour! the parking structure gives only 90 minutes free so unless you can eat in like 20 minutes after waiting an hour + run back to your car within the remaining 10 minutes then you'll end up paying for parking. read more

This is a pitiful excuse for a restaurant. The food is mediocre at best and the wait list is a joke. Despite the fact that you arrive before other people, this restaurant will call other people before you depending whether or not the table is available. I.e. There's a table available for 2, instead of 3, a random party of 2 who walks in on that moment will get the table over you. The food isn't even that great. I had the BP classic. It was ok at best. Boiling point is always soo good, but for some reason this location is so damn expensive in comparison to other boiling points that I've been to. My order usually comes out to 13-14 dollars but here it was around 17-18? They do have really fast service and there was no wait when I came. read more

This is the best BP I've been to! I used to frequent the Hacienda hts and Rowland Hts locations but came here since this one is now the closest. First off, they gave us a seaweed appetizer that was interesting tasting. I was very happy about this because I was super hungry. I ordered the Boiling Point original hot pot (med spicy) and my husband got the lamb hot pot (med spicy). My first impression was that it taste like there's less or no MSG in the broth! This is great because I liked the other BPs but would always feel a little guilty about how much MSG I was consuming. Also, the meat seemed to be cut thinner and was more tender. They also offer brown rice (the fancy kind with extra grains in it). The other ingredients seemed the same to me but I definitely enjoyed the above difference. Another bonus point is they are connected to Jin Tea Shop. You can order your Jin as you eat your hot pot. Unfortunately they don't have the promotion anymore where you get a discount on your drinks if you order them with a meal (I should've gone sooner!) Service was the best I've ever received! Mainly the reason why the five starts! I can here a couple of days ago with my family because I've heard so many great things about this place so i wanted to try it out for myself. It was a little out of my comfort zone but I'm glad I came here to try it anyway. Since it was my first time here at Boiling Point i asked our waitress (Justyce) for some suggestions and help in ordering and she was very helpful! She explained exactly what the concept was and ways in which we can order. She suggested getting the Angus Beef which was what seemed to be the most popular thing there so i ended up getting it. And boy was she right about it being absolutely delicious! She then recommended eating it with the sauces that were on the table which only made everything even more amazing. All the servers there were very helpful and constantly checked up to make sure we were doing okay. Overall i had a great experience here and i definitely will be coming back!
