The rice bowls are sooo good! They are very generous with portions which is nice given the price, you definitely get what you pay for. I love my sauces and they definitely weren't stingy with that either. Very clean and nice indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Saw this place blow up on social media so had to give it a try! The vibes were definitely there! Tucked away in a little corner, there's a fountain right outside and the outdoor seating is very nice to enjoy as the weather warms up. Inside is very clean and modern. I too can definitely see this place belonging in LA so it's nice to have such a spot here in our humble little town. The food truly was delicious! Everything felt clean and fresh and I liked the selection as well. Not too much but not too little either - there's definitely something for everyone. Think chipotle but with far more quality ingredients and each selection being prepared with lots of care. It is evident in the rice itself. I will say, the portion looked a bit small. I tend not to finish when I eat out and I was able finish my bowl. However, I felt full afterwards so in this case, I believe portion sizing to be decent - afterall, there are plenty of whole hearty ingredients so although it can look like less, it definitely doesn't feel like less. The pita bread is also so delicious and I highly recommend getting more than one bag. This spot is ideal for the health nuts, gym rats, and those far in and between! Two bowls and a bag of pita bread (4 slices in a bag) for nearly $40 including tip. I would say the price point is fair! Now ultimately why I did not give this place a solid 5/5 was because of service. There are plenty of opportunities to work on service and I understand the trials that come with being a new buisness and just opening so I imagine with time, it'll get better. I saw many reviews sharing their experience with very kind and friendly staff but my experience didn't quite live up to that. Upon arrival, I somewhat had an idea of how to order but I would've appreciated a walk through and a more thorough explanation on their items. Our server wasn't rude, but very much straight to the point of "what do you want". I understand she may have been tired as it sounds like it has been a very busy day but this place is new and people are excited to try it so I think it's very important that now is the time to build up that clientele. Afterall, first impressions mean a lot. I also asked several questions regarding the items and I would've appreciated a more knowledgeable approach and explanation rather than a shrug of an answer. I saw other guests being helped and other servers were much more friendly in their approach and seemed much happier to be there. Again, my server may have just been tired but I was hoping for a little more...positive energy. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Like any new store, it takes time to set the expectations for the team and get adjusted with hours and such. But I am excited for this place and I see it becoming very big, busy, and popular with the warmer seasons approaching. read more

Have heard Bohl was coming for months and was excited to try opening day. Line was long but ordering from kiosk was quick and easy. Surprisingly short wait for food and it was really good!! My wife and I tried 2 different menu items and both were great. Lots of flavor... and try the Pita chips :) read more

Bella and Katelyn were amazing!! The food was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life!

The salad was good per se, But I was disappointed in the available toppings. This place is a make your own salad place. The lettuce etc was fresh, but the choice of toppings was limited in my opinion. I've been to restaurant salad bars that offered much more in the way of toppings. Things I would have liked on my salad that were not options included green peppers, radish slices, garbonzo beans, kidney beans, sesame seeds, egg, dried chow mein, dried onions, etc. read more

When this place first opened I was in love with it. I went almost twice a week because the portions were great and I thought to myself that I finally found a place where they don't cheap you out and it's actually good! The toppings were absolutely fresh and the pita bread were always soft and fresh as well. BUT... I'm coming here to say I've been disappointed the last two times I've gone this past month. Portions gotten smaller, both times the pita bread was old and stale and to top it all off, my boyfriend FOUND A HAIR his bowl wrapped in the spring mix today. He was already more than half way done eating it so it didn't make sense to take it back. We simply just said we'll question ourselves when coming back. read more

The food overall was great. Comparing to chipotle this place offers more variety and options. They offer waiting in line to serve or multiple kiosk tablets to order food. Waited about 5-10 min to get food when ordering on tablet which was about same if waiting in line. Price for two bowls with avacado ($2 extra) was about $40. For the quality of food and service I think it's worth it. The amount they give was enough to fulfill my appetite. Interior was good as well having lots of available seating inside and out. 4/5 stars only because I wish price was cheaper but I understand with good food quality comes a supply and demand aspect. Great place to eat for lunch and would definitely come back. Good job Bohl! read more

Healthy, fresg, snd delicious. I love that they have their own app for easy online ordering and there are also kiosks at the store. It's really cool how you have an unlimited amount of toppings! I have been back already twice and definitely see myself coming back more. read more

Loveeee this place. It's bursting with flavor and similar to Cava. Can't wait until their hours are extended to later! We will be back over and over. So nice to have delicious and healthy in Elk Grove read more

I'd give it s 7/10 avg slopbowl experience, njce that it is halal, except for the fact that out of my group, the one person who bought chicken has had severe food poisoning for the past 3 days. Just go to chipotle, it's the same stuff for like 5$ cheaper read more

We ordered takeout. Our expectations were completely blown away. It was extremely delicious and would recommend. Hoping they stay for a really long time :) read more

the staff was impossibly nice considering it was first day opening. they were kind to customers and thanked them for waiting. you can tell their management empowers them bc employees only give their best to businesses that take care of them. onto food, there are 4 kiosks available in addition to standby line for ease of ordering. if you have had sweetgreen it is very similar. i opted for romaine, brown rice, mushrooms, avocado and chicken with asian bbq sauce. it ended up tasting like a DIY teriyaki bowl. now could i have made something similar at home? probably. but if i was in the area i'd stop by here over sweetgreen for something healthy & filling. the mint watermelon drink was just ok - it was no sugar added but didn't taste like watermelon juice. would've liked some stevia in instead but you can always add your own. prices are what you'd expect for chipotle-ish range. would like to come by to try to different sauces. to the business: if you don't do so already, i would recommend allowing customers to try sauce samples so they can get a feel for what they want before choosing. read more

The food was actually disappointing because it didn't taste good and there was nothing special about it. Chipotle tastes so much better and it's cheaper. This place is pricy for the food. The steak was dry and overcooked. You can get a poke bowl for the same price and it'll be 10x better than this. And the worst part is that the portions are small. read more

We did our orders at the kiosk and it took around 30-40 minutes for us to get our order. The steak and rice were pretty cold. Both bowls had missing sweet potato. For the price it is I'd hope for better quality and service. Maybe I'll give it a second chance in the future. read more

this place is good, i have been twice now. first time i went it was the day after grand opening so we had to wait around 45 minutes. i don't think it was worth that if im being honest however the food portions were good and generous. the second time i went it was fast as they had open the ipads to order in addition to the line. i opted for the line as i was going to be first. it's definitely a switch up from chipotle so its nice to have this place in elk grove now. inside is modern and bright and the staff are nice! overall nice place read more

My family and I tried Bohl for the first time. Food was fresh and filling! Even my 5 and 7 year old enjoyed their kids meals. We loved all of the options for toppings, dips and dressings. I had extra food leftover for a second meal which makes the bowls such a great value. When you are tired of Chipotle (or just want to try something new and fresh) check out Bohl! read more

Food was fantastic. The sauces were so good. Such great taste. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. All the vegetables were bright colors and so good. It was very clean in side and the decorative paintings on the wall fit the atmosphere wonderfully. The employees were very kind and attentive and got my order correct the first time. I would highly recommend this business to anyone wanting a wonderful meal full of fresh and great tasting ingredients. read more

Food is fantastic more Than just a bohl it's a powerful food that can make you happy ones you try it it's a new spot for week days especially lunch break you need to give this spot a try nothing else like having a bohl of energized food the vibes in there are magnificent service is spectacular blessings from me too you thanks read more

I honestly think some of the negative reviews here are a little crazy. This is a locally owned business, not some massive corporation with unlimited staff and resources. The owners are branching into something new, and I think that deserves support from the community rather than this harsh criticism. I actually had the chance to meet the owner, Kyle, and he was incredibly kind and passionate about what they're building here. You can tell they genuinely care about the business and the people they serve; hence the shorter hours. People would complain the food is cold if they waited for the 45-60 minutes if they didn't do this. I've been here twice now and both times the food tasted great. I'm really excited to have something like this come to our area. Opening a new spot is never easy, and people should be a little more understanding while they get things dialed in. Overall, I'm rooting for them and look forward to coming back again! read more

The food here is very good, consistent, and never disappoints. It's a great quick healthy option that fulfills every food group you need. The food alone is definitely 5/5. My 1 star loss comes from charging for smaller items. I didn't get any sauces but was charged $1.50 for hot sauce, pita chips used to be included in kids meals but no longer is, and you can not get a side of protein. I was told id be charged the full $13 for a side of chicken that would be the same portion size as if I were to get an actual bowl. Small detail things that could be changed but seems like they're being a bit stingy about costs. Nonetheless, this is a place I'll still frequently go to. read more

I've been here multiple times and loved it everytime the workers are usually happy, very helpful and take their time with the order giving great sized portions with a smile...today it was double points day and I get it was probably packed with orders and it's 8:45pm but I didn't even have time to get to the empty (no line) counter before the worker kept asking what do we want without giving us a second to think and on top of that the portions were skimped (kept having to say put more) and still feel I didn't get enough and they just wanted us done with the order...I usually love this place and will give it one more try but if this happens again will have to go somewhere else, me and the person couldn't even enjoy the food because the service and portions just didn't sit right with us. read more

First time here, I picked the selection at the front counter. The way they made the bowl was not edible at all, way too over flavored. I notice there was lettuce and tomato in the back of the server so I went up to ask for the lettuce and tomatoes. They say they need to charge me another bowl that cost $16.00???? I explained to her that I didn't see the lettuce and tomatoes behind the server. She still insist that she needs to charge me another bowl???? First and last time. What a dumbass place. read more

I've been here twice and really enjoyed the bowls. The flavor of the steak bites is incredible! I will definitely be a recurring customer! We went twice during the weekend of their grand opening and it was so good! They were really generous with their portions and the price was a deal for what we got. However, we just went back yesterday and although it was still good, the portions were smaller and our bill came out to almost $70 for three bowls. We were also very disappointed to hear that they no longer have the ground beef as an option or the darker teriyaki sauce (I forget the name). The workers said it wasnt being ordered often so it was discontinued which is disappinting. We loved they style of our first bowl we tried and came back for that reason. We're just trying to figure out how you can discontinue something so fast when you just opened a month ago? So I believe they just have two protein options, chicken and steak. Please bring back the ground beef!! read more

I was excited to try this newly opened fast-casual spot known for its healthy salads and bowls since I happened to be in the area. The restaurant itself is clean, freshly remodeled, and pretty busy. Ordering from the self-serve kiosk was simple, and the wait time for my food was fairly quick, which I appreciated. The bowl itself tasted fresh, but overall it was a bit underwhelming. It ended up being somewhat dry because there wasn't enough dressing just a small couple squirts on top and I didn't really taste much flavor from the dressings either. the dips that came with it were also in very small portions. One of the ingredients I added to my bowl was also missing, which was disappointing. The highlight for me was actually the side of pita bread, which was really good. Overall, the experience was okay and I do appreciate what they're trying to do with a healthier concept, but right now my rating sits somewhere between a 2-3. Not sure I'd go back unless I ordered extra sauce. read more

It was advertised as more of an actual salad bar with multiple meat and topping choices. It reminded me more of a Chipotle style restaurant therefore I wasn't happy with the meal. The meat options and topping selection are very limited. I wouldn't recommend and I won't return because it was nothing like I expected. read more

Ordered from Bohl for the first time yesterday and it was a terrible experience. The meat came out grey and looked completely unappetizing. Honestly pretty concerning. It didn't feel safe to eat, which is unacceptable when you're paying for a meal. Definitely not something I'm willing to risk getting sick over. I won't be returning. read more

This place is a nice change from Chipotle. I had a bowl with rice, steak, corn, feta cheese, onion, sweet potatoes , mushrooms, Tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and Jalapeño avocado dressing. I also had a side of pita chips. The one ingredient that stood out were the mushrooms for me. They were good. The only off thing was the pita chips. The pita chips were full of oil.
