No matter who else I met with, I kept coming back to his work. Since I was living in Los Angeles, his pricing was very much in line with other surgeons in the area, I'm currently about eight weeks post-op. While my final results are still developing, I can confidently say that through every stage of healing so far, my results have been exactly what I envisioned. I was initially very nervous about undergoing surgery, especially since this was my first major procedure and I wasn't unhappy with my natural size (starting at a full B cup). However, I have absolutely no regrets--if anything, I would make the same decision again without hesitation. That I greatly appreciated due to the fact of being EXTREMELY nervous that morning Before the procedure, Dr. Kim came in, carefully marked everything, and made sure we were completely aligned on my goals. I felt very confident in his hands. From my hours of research on breast augmentations I had heard that results can look concerning in the first few days post-op, so I was hesitant to look at my results right away, but even on just day 3 or 4, when I was able to shower, I was honestly AMAZED. No pain. Very precise instructions, procedure, and results. I actually saw his office's advertisement online and tried to get the same treatment through my regular provider first, but had no luck. They wanted to sell me on months of alternative treatment that I didn't think would be better than what I could manage with a neti pot. But Dr. Nima listened. I actually had a real conversation about my symptoms. He took one look, confirmed I could benefit from the procedure, and in no time I had an appointment. This whole experience really showed me how healthcare under HMO is simply managed dying, but with PPO you can cut through all the BS to actual treatment. I learned that lesson first with Western Dental--went with the default cheap HMO option and learned the hard way when I'd be waiting up to an hour for my scheduled appointment while they'd charge me for being late and expect me to be there early. So I switched to PPO and saw my former dentist who's quick, in and out with major surgery in 2 hours tops. Here's the thing: in-network treats everything like HMO price-managed plans, but PPO gives you out-of-network exposure which comes with more leeway to cut through those management procedures. For the septoplasty, I had to see a mixture of doctors before I finally got to my end result--VA (initial CT scan), in-network (only wanted to sell me a 6-month treatment plan first that wouldn't be better than homeopathy nor permanent), and finally out-of-network. It wasn't until out-of-network that I found someone willing to cut to the chase and deliver real results. Thank you again Dr. Nima. Rather than trying to profit by managing patients' symptoms, you offer something far more intrinsically valuable by solving them.
