This is an update 5 years later after my rhinoplasty with Dr. Diaz where I still love my nose! Due to the asymmetries in my face and thickness of skin, the final healed results were at about 99% of what I expected. I called Dr. Diaz's office to confirm if this was normal and if anything had happened to not achieve the perfect results expected. Dr. Diaz called and explained everything perfectly and removed all of my concerns. Dr. Diaz is truly one of the best plastic surgeons, and a rhinoplasty is like trying to do surgery on a moving target. To solve for the final 1% of my concern, I was invited to speak to him for a revision in the future if needed. This is all to say, he is truly the best and while 99.999% of his results are all home runs, sometimes very complex noses (like mine) have a slightly almost perfect result and that is OKAY! Absolutely nothing to do with his amazing expertise or the amazing team. Yesterday I had my breast augmentation surgery, and honestly, the whole experience was amazing. I can't thank Dr. John Diaz and his team enough. After filling out paperwork and getting into my surgical gown, I met with Dr. Diaz who showed me a 3D preview of what my implants would look like. Dr. Mermelstein, the anesthesiologist, made sure I felt totally comfortable by warming the hospital bed and using essential oils to help me relax. As soon as the IV went in, I was out. When I woke up, I couldn't believe it was already over! The nurses were so sweet and helped me get dressed and into the car so my husband could take me home. Also, leading up to surgery day, I had so much help for preparation from the surgical coordinators Naomi, Hannah, and Patty. I can't believe how good I feel today. My chest is sore, which is expected, but once I took my meds I even had enough energy to put on a little makeup. I unbuttoned my bra to take a peak, and the girls look amazing. No bruises either! I came to Dr. Díaz for a primary rhinoplasty and I am so pleased with my results so far ! I only gave Dr. Diaz one star because I had to in order to write a review. I underwent surgery back in May and got a mastopexy with Dr. Diaz. Unfortunately, the results were the complete opposite of what I expected. Shortly after the surgery, I began experiencing pain and discomfort in my right breast and noticed that it had become extremely misshapen. After consulting with another surgeon, I was diagnosed with capsular contracture - yet Dr. Diaz claimed that the chances of that happening while undergoing surgery with him were 'super slim' or a less than 1% chance. I attempted to discuss my concerns with Dr. Diaz, but was met with dismissiveness and a lack of concern. I tried calling the office several times, but no one was helpful or responsive. The only time they were responsive was when they needed my money. The only helpful person at the office was Lany, but she no longer works there. I wonder why... Not only was the surgery $24,000, but he also wanted me to pay an additional $3,000 to get my right breast fixed. The whole purpose of this surgery was to feel confident with clothes or without clothes, and now I feel more insecure than ever. I have to be very careful with what bikinis I wear because one of my breasts is literally deformed. I also had to go to therapy because I was suffering from depression and anxiety due to how my breast was deformed which cost me even more money after spending the $24,000. I also sent multiple emails asking for the pictures that were taken throughout the 6-month period, but I never received them, nor have I received an answer from Dr. Diaz. I sent three emails and never got a response. They wanted me to pay more money for their mistake in the surgery and after getting non-responses from a doctors office who made this mistake, was I really going to pay more money to them and let this incompetent doctor put a knife to me again? Absolutely not. I ultimately got revision surgery with another surgeon to correct the issue, which was another $10,000, a significant expense that caused me additional stress and discomfort, but it was worth every penny because they did an amazing job, fixed the pain I was experiencing and I've had no complications. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE UNDERGOING SURGERY! DON'T TRUST THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE IN BEVERLY HILLS, THAT ONLY LEADS TO HIGHER PRICES TO PAY THEIR RENT, NOT QUALITY WORK. I made a huge mistake by going with the first Dr. that made me feel safe. Dr. Diaz and the team are only nice and attentive before they get your money. After that, you are non-existent. The constant pain, I had to go through for 12 months before I could afford to get a revision was absolute torture. I wish I could post my before and after pictures here. Dr. John Diaz and his team have truly been life-savers when it came to getting a septoplasty. My deviated septum has always plagued me my entire life, making it so that I could only ever really breathe out of my right nostril most of the time. This was especially troublesome for my sleep, with many nights waking up from blocked airways and unable to get restful sleep. Unfortunately, I first decided to go to an ENT to get my septoplasty done. This ENT completely botched my surgery, and failed to improve my breathing whatsoever (in fact he made it worse in some ways). That was when I decided to give Dr. Diaz a go. He examined my nose and pinpointed what the ENT had done wrong in his surgery. Dr. Diaz assured me that he was confident that he could get my deviated septum fixed--so I went ahead with him. Leading up to and after the surgery, his team was always very friendly and helpful, answering my questions and making sure that I felt comfortable and at ease. After the surgery, not only was Dr. Diaz able to correct the problems introduced by my original surgeon--he has significantly straightened my septum and opened up my airways (see the before and after). 2 Year Update: The results from my surgery are absolutely remarkable. The sizing and shape is absolutely perfect. I had no issues with rippling or capsular contracture, and I am so extremely happy I went with Dr. Diaz because I don't believe there is another surgeon who can do what he does! The only thing I wish I would have gotten was the mesh at the bottom of my breasts because I have very thin skin and I don't like the way it feels, but you cannot tell. I was also informed that would happen due to the type of surgery (I think that's common across all cases), so it didn't come as a surprise when I could feel it. UODATE: I'm trying to add pics but they're not coming up ?? I got rhinoplasty with Dr. Diaz back in August of 2021 and now that I'm 2 years post op I figured it was time for my review ! I have known I've wanted a nose job for a long long time as it has always been a huge insecurity. Dr. Diaz was the only surgeon I had a consultation with (something I don't recommend and probably would do diff) and he made me feel super comfortable and excited. He set realistic expectations from the start, which is what truly made me trust him. Dr. Diaz is obviously very busy, so besides the consultation you will mostly be communicating with his nurses and staff, but I was able to set up a phone call with him a few weeks before the surgery when I have having anxiety/ second thoughts, which was nice. He was super kinda and reassuring. I am happy with my nose and my results ! The only complaint I have is that one of my nostrils is slightly smaller than the other (something the doctor warned me about due to peoples naturally asymmetrical faces, and something no one would notice unless they were actively looking for imperfections) Also, one side of my cartilage is slightly bigger than the other, which is my only formal complaint. I'm not sure if this is an error or if it was just not avoidable, but I was never warned about cartilage differences. Like my nostrils though, it is something no one except you would notice. After feeling insecure about my box-like figure for most of my life, I decided to book a consultation with Dr. Diaz to see if I had enough fat to qualify as a candidate for a BBL. Dr. Diaz said that because I was on the skinnier side there wouldn't be much fat to use, so rather than a drastic volume change, it would be more of shaping and sculpting by taking fat from my waist and putting that in my hips and buttocks. I went to Dr. Diaz for a Brest revision a few months ago. I had been following him on instagram for a while and loved how natural his work looked. Where do I even start? Since I was a teen I've known I wanted to get rhinoplasty but never decided to do it until I found the absolute best doctor. From the beginning Dr. Diaz and his team had the most fantastic bedside manners. At my first consultation, Dr. Diaz gave a thorough overview and explanation of my nose, the surgery plan, images, cost, etc. while being straightforward and most of all kind. I've had previous consultations where doctors have spoken down to me, disregarded me, and made me feel even more insecure. Dr. Diaz couldn't be more of the opposite. Once I finally made the decision to get rhinoplasty, Dr. Diaz and his team met with me regularly to go over the minute details, including pre-op instructions, day of surgery, and post-op instructions. I was left with zero questions but if I had his team was readily available. The day of surgery, I was very nervous and from the start Dr. Diaz and his team were attentive, even to the seconds I lost consciousness. I told Dr. Diaz I was scared to go under, and he held my hand and told me to dream about where I wanted to go on vacation. I drifted off with him telling me to envision warm beaches and cocktails. For the next week I had minimal pain in my nose, I only used Tylenol as a pain reliever. Dr. Diaz took off my cast at the end of that week and I was back to work a week later with no one knowing (I know, he's just that good). I am now almost one year post-op and I non-stop get compliments, here is a quote from my mom, "you've never been more beautiful." I went to Dr. Diaz's office a couple times about 3 years ago for filler from a Doctor who's no longer at his office. I had a great experience in the past! I recently moved back to LA and booked my appointment for Botox injections there with Kim whom I had never met until yesterday. I'm so happy I chose to stick with this office because everyone there is so nice and knowledgeable! I did a complete skin age assessment computer scan and Kim walked me through everything that was addressed reassuring me what was normal for my age and telling me how I was already doing a great job at taking care of my skin. I pointed out a couple things that bothered me and to my surprise one of them was completely normal and really was no need to correct. The other things she told me I didn't really need but we could still do in a natural looking way if that was my personal desired look. Obviously I'm in their office because I take pride in my appearance and want to know about ways in which I can enhance my looks and make them last as long as possible. Having said that she went over pricing on skin care packages and informed me of the current promotion offers and left me to decide what I wanted to go forward with. No pushy or aggressive sales tactics, No in and out next patient, She took her time and made sure I knew about aftercare. Quite honestly I want to be her new best friend.. she made me feel so comfortable and confident that I was going to leave looking and feeling better while not doing anything that was unnecessary. I have been to places where I literally had to make up an excuse to leave so that I wouldn't be forced into buying something. I'm happy to say that this office is nothing like that and they TRULY CARE ABOUT YOU! I will be back to take full advantage of their current promotions because they ROCK! And will also end up scheduling a consolation for rhinoplasty sooner or later. Also Lisa at the front desk is an angel and the biggest sweetheart. I forgot to ask her about some info on my way out so I called back yesterday but she was already gone for the day. I did go back to discuss my unhappiness with Dr Diaz and the message was, that's the best we could do. Dr. Diaz did not offer any other options which made me feel horrible because the amount of time to save up to do this surgery was a lot. Not only that when he saw my honest reviews he asked that I remove it because it was impacting his office with my review. Well doc, the bad surgery resulted me crying and EVERYDAY to this day still. I am sadden and mortified when I get undressed EVERY SINGLE TIME seeing my breast all messed up and not wanting to date as I've been single ever since (that's a long time)!! I wouldn't want any man to see my horrible breast nor touch them as I'm so embarrassed. This was my second time going to the MedSpa and both times I had the absolute best experience. Lisa at the front is amazing, makes you feel welcomed and totally comfortable. Janie did my lips and she did them with the exact vision I had in mind. She made sure I was doing okay throughout the procedure since I'm not the fondest with needles, but it was a breeze. Dr. Diaz is the BEST! I has been to other surgeons for consultations for a breast augmentation, but as soon as I met Dr. Diaz I knew he was going to be it! The 3D imaging so I could see what they'd look like post op helped sell me too! He's very kind and patient and will take the time to answer any and all questions! I had an issue with one of my incisions (completely my fault, but I'll never admit that to anyone else), and he went above and beyond to fix it.
