I paid $100 for a consultation with Dr. Kim, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. This was my first cosmetic surgery consultation, and I left feeling upset and drove home in tears. Throughout the appointment, Dr. Kim did not make eye contact with me, which made the interaction feel impersonal. I came prepared with several questions, hoping to better understand my options, but many of my questions were met with very brief responses that left me feeling as though I should already know the answers. One moment that particularly stood out was when I asked a question to distinguish between two different types of breast implants. Instead of explaining the differences, he responded abruptly, saying, "That is not what I said. At all." The tone felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. After having two children, my body has significantly changed and I came to the consultation feeling vulnerable and looking for guidance from someone I could trust. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable, discouraged, and unheard. I've had three breast surgeries, and two of them were with Dr. David Kim. I originally wanted to go to him for my first surgery, but for some reason I went with another doctor in Newport Beach and unfortunately, he botched my breasts and one of my saline implants even popped. In 2017, I finally went to Dr. David Kim for a consultation. He explained everything clearly and reassured me, even though my case was complicated since the first doctor had messed up my pockets. Dr. Kim fixed my pockets evenly and brought the gap in closer. I went with 650cc implants, and the results were amazing; everyone complimented them, and I had zero complaints. Fast forward to 2025: after losing a lot of weight, I wanted something smaller and more natural. I came back to Dr. Kim for my third surgery. I was nervous at first because I didn't know what size to choose, but I told him I wanted natural, no gap, and to stay under 330cc. He did exactly that, so we went with 325cc, and I couldn't be happier. The process was super easy with no complications and barely any pain. I was even walking around just three hours later! What I love about Dr. Kim is that he doesn't sugarcoat or try to talk you into something you don't need. He's straightforward, answers all my questions, and gives honest advice. His nurses and staff are also incredible; so kind, responsive, and helpful with everything from sizing to recovery. I got my breast implants from Dr. Kim in September 2018. He did a stellar job and I loved my breasts! He listened to my wants and gave me the boobies of my dreams. However, over the past 4 years I got very sick, in and out of the doctors and rheumatologist, multiple diagnoses, tons of medication so I made the decision to get my breast implants removed. I had them removed with a different plastic surgeon in Newport Beach. I am only a week post op but feel much better. I got my implants placed under the muscle and when getting them removed, the surgeon said both implant Capsules were stuck to my ribs. I finally feel like I can take in a deep breath again! I am absolutely in love and incredibly happy with the results of my breast augmentation! Dr. David Kim is the best and knows how to create exactly what you want. I recommend all my friends to him. I am 4 months post-op now and Dr. Kim delivered on the exact look on what I wanted. Before meeting Dr. Kim, I had seen two other plastic surgeons in San Diego (where I live) for just initial consultations and shopping around for the perfect surgeon. And those two surgeons did not fit what I was looking for. I ended up stumbling upon Dr. Kim from YouTube videos and made the journey to Beverly Hills for a consult. And after meeting Dr. Kim, I knew he was the exact surgeon I was looking for! He was the only surgeon that I met who uses temporary implants to fill with air in order to find your perfect implant cc size. And I was blown away with how big and natural his results were. Which was what I was looking for. I had a great rapport with Dr. Kim! I'm a Leo so I'm a people person and love talking and joking around. And at my pre-op, Dr. Kim and I talked, laughed and joked around. I have no issues with his bedside manner. I have a friend who is a front desk for another plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and after my post-op consultation, she says: "I bet it was quick!" And I said "yes, it was like 5 mins long but that's okay, I got all my questions answered" and she said that many women get upset over how 'fast' consults are. It's a business and these surgeons see hundreds of women a day. They have to have quick meetings. Don't take it personally and realize that almost every surgeon is going to be like this. Anyways, before surgery I showed Dr. Kim my inspiration pics and we talked about wanted cup size. I wanted to go as big as my skin would let me, we never settled on a cc size and I'm so happy we didn't because Dr. Kim chose the best implant size for me! I ended up with 500cc in my left and 550cc in my right. And as my body healed, my breasts slowly became everything I've ever wanted. They fit me so perfectly! They're big but they look like they were the size meant for me. Trust the process! Keep in mind if that Dr. Kim's pre and post surgery guidelines is stricter than other surgeons and I made sure to stick to them. No nicotine and alcohol for 3 weeks before surgery and 4-6 weeks after surgery. And I still continue to wear my sports bra to bed every night. If you stick to the guidelines, your results will be incredible. I know of some girls who used other surgeons and that drank the whole time and their results did not look as good as mine. If you want good results, then put in the work after surgery to ensure that. My one complaint is that the front desk personnel could be a little nicer, welcoming, and bubbly. But other than that, Dr. Kim is worth every penny. You get what you pay for! Always pay for quality! read more

I have been under Dr Kims care twice in my life. Once when I was 22 and again when I was in my late 30s. When he initially did my first breast implants I was a young woman with everything where it needed to be. He just enlarged my breasts and did a fantastic job. I do mean FANTASTIC. I was so pleased that I referred 11 friends to him. 3 of those friends are on his wall. Fast forward 14 years later... He made eye contact with me 2 times in the 20 minute consult. He had his head down on his ipad and I assumed he was reviewing my chart? another patients chart? I have no clue but I needed him to look up at what I was showing him and he annoyingly looked up for half a second and looked back down then said "What are you after today?" Well, I found that so hurtful and dismissive as I was standing in front of him, topless, with a deflated implant. I uttered the words "what?" in a low voice because I legitimately thought he wouldn't say something like that. The Dr Kim I knew from the first operation answered all my questions, in front of my mom, and put me at ease. He called me the day after surgery to check in on me. Sent me flowers to the house as all surgeons in BH seem to do for me. This was why I referred 11 girls to him. I even accompanied 4 of those girls on their operation day and he never ever remembered who I was to the point I called him out on that after my last friend flew in to see him. I was so scared that he didn't want me in his office that I actually said "What do I want you to do for me? and then I laughed and said "Id like a new set" then he proceeded to say I have more fat in my breasts now than implant. Again, nothing constructive and nothing that made me feel like how I did when I was young and easy to work on. I quickly covered my breasts after he said I have more fat than implant.I felt ugly and fat. I asked him some questions and reminded him of what he said to me when I was 22 and how helpful that information was. He proceeded to deny he ever said what he indeed said. I have ONLY HAD HIM work on my breasts, yet there are 100s of me in his office, but he denied what he said. So, I didnt talk anymore. Mind you, what he said wasnt out of line or crazy. He told me about proportions when I was younger but through the years he could easily forget the conversation he had as a young intern, one of many conversations but I didnt forget. He was the only one doctor for breasts I ever had. I relied on his words and referred many girls to him based off of that initial experience. He did my set, one nipple is higher and oblong and both nipples face outward. When I went in for my post surgery check up and mentioned my nipple he seemed irritated again and the whole experience was ugly. He did let me know without flat out saying it that his work is best on first time recipients, not those who need it done again after having it for many years and or having children and the natural progression of a womans body changing. So yes, take a look at the pictures. take a look at the ages of the women getting work done. take a look at their weight and initial breast shape and size before surgery. He doesnt need women like me, he will have endless 20 year olds lining up. I am grateful that he worked on me twice. I know I am not someone to remember or someone on his wall but I did refer many many women to him and would have referred all of my mom friends wanting implants, however, we are not his preferred clientele and the message was clearly delivered. He is great for first timers, that's why he can have the poor bedside manner that he has now. Years of fluffing will inflate the ego and I am grateful that I know where I stand now. read more

I had a donut lift with hp gummy silicone.During operation day, I had showed dr Kim a few pictures of what I liked and wanted similar sized boobs as shown. Before kids I was a triple D and after I had kids it went down to C/D. My goal was to have something bigger than what I had now and a little smaller then what I had before so we came into conclusion to double d and is willing to change the sizing with the judgement of his expertise. As a result, I am beyond pleased. It looks better then what I envisioned. After surgery, the pain was minimal without painkillers. All i felt was stiffness under the breast and on the armpit but was gone on day 3. I was able to walk around, eat, hanged out with my 3 toddlers after a few hrs post surgery.
