If I could give Dr. Kim six stars, I absolutely would. I spent about two years consulting with different surgeons, and Dr. Kim was the only one I returned to for a second consultation. No matter who else I met with, I kept coming back to his work. Since I was living in Los Angeles, his pricing was very much in line with other surgeons in the area, I'm currently about eight weeks post-op. While my final results are still developing, I can confidently say that through every stage of healing so far, my results have been exactly what I envisioned. I was initially very nervous about undergoing surgery, especially since this was my first major procedure and I wasn't unhappy with my natural size (starting at a full B cup). However, I have absolutely no regrets--if anything, I would make the same decision again without hesitation. I'm already hoping that when the time comes years from now to replace my implants, Dr. Kim is still practicing in Beverly Hills, because I truly wouldn't consider going anywhere else. One of the key reasons I chose him was that he was one of the few surgeons willing to perform the procedure through an armpit incision, which was a non negotiable for me On the day of surgery, I did feel quite anxious, but his pre opt team was incredible, I first met the pre-op nurse that had such a warm, calming presence--she was incredibly reassuring and made me feel genuinely cared for. She explained how experienced Dr. Kim is, how easy of a surgery this is and how I'd just be taking a short nap and wake up with my dream body! Shortly after meeting this amazing woman, I had another wonderful experience with the anesthesiologist as well, who took the time to walk me through everything and reassure me. He emphasized that he would be monitoring me the entire time, fully present and attentive, which gave me a deep sense of comfort and safety. That I greatly appreciated due to the fact of being EXTREMELY nervous that morning Before the procedure, Dr. Kim came in, carefully marked everything, and made sure we were completely aligned on my goals. I felt very confident in his hands. From my hours of research on breast augmentations I had heard that results can look concerning in the first few days post-op, so I was hesitant to look at my results right away, but even on just day 3 or 4, when I was able to shower, I was honestly AMAZED. Even that early on, I loved how they looked. Since then, they've only continued to improve. Each week they look & feel more natural. The results have continued to exceed my expectations. I wanted to share my experience at SK Plastic Surgery. I had my surgery performed by Dr Steve Kim in Beverly Hills. Prior to meeting with him, I have had consultations with three other surgeons. Two were board certified plastic surgeons one was a facial plastic surgeon. Extensive research and a lot of coaching from my sister who is a nurse (not in plastic surgery) I find out that facial plastic surgeons are usually ENT surgeons. The ones that operate in your ears, nose and throat. On your sinuses and tonsil and ear drums. Then they take a year to learn how to do the cosmetic stuff on your face. Some go on to take some classes on lasers and then they say they are triple board certified or quadruple if they take another class. So please check the board certifications and where its coming from. I saw online a dermatologist and even a dentist claiming they were facial plastic surgeons with multiple board certifications. I would also be very wary of those who are board certified in Cosmetic Surgery. Done ranting and now back to my review. I met with Dr Kim as I wanted fo address the drooping along my jawline, loose skin on my neck and my hooded eyelids. I searched online and found Dr Kim and my sister had a friend who also was a nurse who had surgery with him. Later, I also found out my real estate agent knew someone who had surgery with Dr Kim as well. He was very thorough during the consultation. Addressed different surgery methods for my face neck and eyes. He didnt think I needed a full browlift but that a temple lift would help open up my eyes along with the upper eyelid surgery. Face and neck lift (extended deep plane preservation method). Surgery took five and a half hours with general anesthesia. Which feminds me, make sure where you are having the procedure is Certified as well and who will be administering your anesthesia even if it is twilight. That's from my sister. After the procedure, surprisingly not as painful as expected. Pain, yes, but not excruciating. Aching dull pain and neck felt very tight. During the after surgery visits, Dr Kim was very attentive, careful and delicate. He made me feel at ease and guided me through the rough first few days. The ladies at the office were all very sweet as well. I am now six months out and really liking the way it all turned out. The scars are perfect. Those I could tell from day one how well things were sewed together. The stiching looked like a machine did it very precise. The first week my husband was like OMG and very worried. But just the other day he said I looked beautiful with a big smile. I can't thank Dr Kim enough for his attention to detail, his reassuring confidencs, his caring bedside manners and most of all his awesome surgical skill and precision. I am a 51 year old aesthetician, I have two children and live in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the last visit I had, the Dr. was an hour late. I asked for a discount since I had to wait so long. It was not about the money. His response was that it was normal to wait an HOUR long and that they don't negotiate. No apology. None. Like many doctors, he has gotten arrogant and thinks other people's time isn't as valuable as his. When he did my eye lids, he cut too high on my left eye and i had to live with that for a few years. It did not look good. He offered to fix it but then i have to have more down time and i cannot miss work. He doesnt apologize for his mistakes or compensate for them. It has smoothed out some but I still see it. Also, when he took out the fat from under my eyes, now I have grooves there permanently. I would go to someone else. He use to be nicer but now it's all about churn and burn $$$$. GREED. Get as many people in and charge as much as possible . My friend was interested but I will tell her not to go to him. I had my eyelid surgery here a year ago. I had a lot of loose skin and my eyelashes were actually poking and irritating my eyes. Also my eyes looked tired all the time. Dr. Kim removed skin and fixed my eyelid muscles. Recovery was pretty smooth, some bruising and swelling in the first couple weeks and it looked ok by about a month.
