Before & After (Right Side) (My left--not shown--had 2x as many + much darker spots, so transformation there is even more dramatic)

Dr. Rahimi expertly removed my facial DPNs. Just five days after the procedure (I kept my face constantly moisturized with fresh Bag Balm on my own initiative), I started getting 'bedroom eyes' from a couple of gorgeous women--easily 30 years younger than me, solid 9s and 10s. I hadn't experienced that kind of attention in years! Removing around 70 spots apparently took 20 years off my appearance--I now look closer to 40 than my actual 60. He did a truly fantastic job.

Dr. Rahimi is amazing and extremely talented! I highly recommend him for any procedure he offers and flew to LA just to see him. His office staff is wonderful as well. Thank you, Beth and team for the chicken noodle soup and extra care. My problem areas: 1. Brown/sun spots that had become worse over the years from years of sunbathing without reapplying facial sunscreen. Finding effective lasers for darker skin is nearly impossible. Until now! 2. Hollowed tear troughs under eye (I'm 41 but this has always been a problem area for me. I thought I'd eventually have to have a blepharoplasty). Treatment: Mixto Fractional CO2 Laser Experience: I took 1 day off work and flew home the next day. Minimal discomfort and they're sure to numb your face and make you feel comfy. I barely remember a thing. I am BEYOND Ecstatic by the results so far and know my skin will only continue healing and rejuvenating over the coming months. My face looks and feels amazing post op day 4 and my tear troughs seem to be plumped back up to where they were in college. Thank you again, Dr. Rahimi! You are excellent at what you do and I appreciate the detailed after care instructions and easy text message/quick phone chat check ins. See you in a 2-3 years for a touch up. See photos below: Post op day 4 and looking amazing!

Post treatment burn from CO2 fractional laser. I have it on the other side of my face too.

She is confident in her work - which is a lot more than I can say for the "celebrity dermatologists" who are running their offices as mills and don't actually care to help patients. I did various treatments with Dr. Ahdout including skin needling and her work is impeccable. She is also incredibly honest. I had done PRP at another office nearby at a much higher price and Dr. Ahdout explained how she believes it doesn't do much. She noted letting the blood from skin needling sit on the skin afterwards is sufficient. She could have sold me on PRP since I had inquired about it, but she was transparent. She is a truly trustworthy professional. Dr. Ahdout is high in both mental and emotional intelligence. She also hires people who run her office professionally. She has high standards both with how she treats and takes care of patients and also how her patients are treated by her staff. Doctors hire people who are like them. Most so called healthcare professionals couldn't care less about creating a healing environment as they hire wolves like them to run their offices. Therefore, most doctor's offices are not healing to say the least. Dr. Ahdout truly cares about her patients and creating a healing environment. I highly recommend her.

Prior to treatment, I specifically explained that I could not afford to undergo multiple sessions and asked whether I would see noticeable benefit after a single treatment. I was told that I should expect to see improvement after one session. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. While some visible veins were successfully treated through cauterization, I did not experience the level of lasting improvement in my rosacea redness that I expected based on our discussion. I also had concerns about post-procedure care and communication. After my first treatment, I experienced significant redness and pus, and became worried that I might be developing an infection. It took approximately four days before someone from the office meaningfully addressed my concerns, which added a great deal of stress during the healing process. After I later expressed dissatisfaction with my results, the provider did offer a second treatment at no additional charge which I appreciated. She used no numbing cream even though I explained that I have a low tolerance for pain! However, even after completing treatment and allowing time for healing, I still did not feel the overall cosmetic outcome justified the cost for me personally. Another concern was that no true baseline "before" photos were taken prior to treatment. The only comparison image retained appears to have been taken after the first procedure, while my skin was still experiencing treatment-related redness and inflammation. When I requested consideration of a refund or partial refund, I was told that results are not guaranteed. I also found it frustrating that the office preferred discussing concerns by phone rather than communicating in writing and were very defensive and refused to even meet in the middle. They said because I don't use other rosacea treatments that's why their work failed! I understand cosmetic treatments can vary from person to person, and I appreciate that an effort was made to address my concerns. I simply believe future patients should clearly discuss expectations, number of likely treatments needed, follow-up responsiveness, and refund policies before proceeding. I do not recommend at all. I'm happy to send pictures if you message me.

Honestly, that's why I trusted him. I spent that year on topical finasteride and minoxidil, and dermastamping multiple times a week, slowly improving donor quality until he felt I could proceed--with realistic expectations. The procedure itself was incredibly smooth. Zero pain with conscious sedation, and he personally performed all extractions and site creation, which I think really matters. This isn't about achieving perfect density. It's about using limited grafts thoughtfully to create a natural frame for the face. From where I started, this result is beyond anything I expected, and we're already planning a second session to build density. Biggest takeaways: candidacy matters, expectations matter even more, and finding an honest surgeon who thinks like an artist is everything.

So, if you're hoping for someone to return your call, it's better if it's someone who doesn't just hang up on you. The second person who calls and covers for the one who hung up will ask you why you didn't go to the emergency room. You'll explain that you didn't go because the emergency room wasn't the cause of the issue, and that you wanted the dermatologist who prescribed the new treatments for your skin to help you, since they're familiar with what you've been using. Also, you could have visited any place covered by your PPO insurance, so it's important to know your boundaries and treat people with respect. $25 copay refund; it's not about the money, it's about the pain I'm feeling and how clients are treated when they come to you. Patient safety, comfort, and transparency during procedures are extremely important to our practice. To clarify for readers, routine full-body skin examinations at our office do not involve surgical excisions. During these visits, if a lesion requires evaluation, the standard approach is a superficial biopsy, which is a minor procedure performed with appropriate local anesthetic and does not require stitches." So...I had a mirage that I got these stitches in your office? Interesting response given I have the photos...? Original post: Trigger warning: stitches without proper anesthesia After a routine skin check, Dr. Shanthi identified a small freckle that required removal and described it as a quick, simple in-office procedure. I've had similar removals before and they were minor, as promised. Once the procedure started, I realized the area removed was much larger than what had been shown to me. Partway through, the anesthetic wore off and I could feel every stitch. I told her I was in intense pain, but she continued stitching, remarking she was almost done. I left shaking, with 7 stitches and a much larger wound than I was told to expect. Days later, the stitches were under so much tension, that the internal ones began to tear and I had to seek treatment at a different derm. This experience was extremely painful and distressing, careless, and unprofessional. Afterward, I looked through other reviews and found at least one similar account after a routine skin check. Do not trust 5-star reviews that focus on routine acne treatment or the friendliness of the front desk staff.

First, the staff warmly greeted me as soon as I walked in. They were all super nice! I then saw Dr. Jones, who said she could remove the bump right then and there, and they could send it for a biopsy just in case. The procedure was quick and painless! The bump is gone and the scar is barely noticeable. One thing I really liked about this place was that they said the consultation fee would be applied to any procedure I had done. Other places charged a similar consultation fee but would not count it towards the procedure. On top of that, the total cost was significantly less than quotes I received from other offices -- I probably paid half of what I would've paid at the other places I called. Most importantly, I was seen by Dr. Jones, who is an MD. Other places want you to consult with their PA first. Needless to say I'll be coming here for all my skincare needs going forward. I do appreciate that he took the time to listen, and the conversation itself was positive. Shortly after, my prescription was finally processed, and I received it on 5/1/26. It was also refilled for future use, which I'm thankful for. However, it took nearly two months to straighten everything out before I was finally able to receive my prescription. However, the overall experience still leaves me genuinely concerned. It took me being unusually persistent and more forceful than I'm comfortable with just to get a response from the office, pharmacy, and insurance. That shouldn't be necessary for a patient trying to manage their healthcare. More importantly, this situation caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety and has negatively impacted my health. I already deal with high blood pressure, and this experience elevated it further, which is both troubling and unacceptable when seeking medical care. At this time, I'm giving a 3-star rating in recognition of the effort Dr. Tomasian made to personally address the situation. I may update this after future visits. I sincerely hope his office improves how they handle patient communication and follow-through so that no other patient has to go through a similar experience.
