This place is hipster, spacious, and staff is also super friendly too! As a coffee connoisseur, I'm always trying to find good coffee places to get work done or hang out with friends. It can get a bit loud in here since they make coffee from the beans on spot, but it's pretty cool since they have the equipments on display. Menu is pretty standard of coffee places, with choice of coffee, tea, and smoothie. I got my usual, nitro cold brew coffee ($4.25 for a 16 Oz). Omicron is raging, there's an actual mask mandate from the state and none of the employees are wearing masks. It blew my mind when I walked in. Been coming to Bodhi for some time and do love their green coffee beans that I roast on my own. Have bought many bags there as well but everytime I go there, I get a coffee whether cold or hot that I just never was impressed with. For some reason, I think their coffee drinks are watered down or something to the point that it is not very flavorful with the coffee taste I love. Never a problem to come in for roasted or green beans here and they are always very nice. Overall I will be sure to come back but likely just for supplies and not for a drink. read more

What can I say, this places service is the worst! I ordered a hot matcha latte and it tasted like straight up almond milk and I also ordered their avocado toast which wasn't great either and I asked for egg on top which it came cold and she just carelessly added it on there. A nice clean and large coffee shop! If you're looking for good coffee and a place to work I'd recommend Bodhi. They have lots of small and long tables for you to work at. My go-to order is the cold brew with honey cold foam. Love the slight sweetness from the honey, but will say it is pretty expensive. Bodhi Leaf is a good, average coffee house with pretty solid offerings. The Orange location is spacious and has plenty of seating, outlets, and parking. However, customer service here is very lacking. The few times I've been here, I've felt very unwelcome. No greetings, not even a friendly face. The girls who work here look severely disinterested and as if they'd be anywhere else. I can't tell if it's because I come in wearing a mask, or if it's because of other factors. But it hasn't been just one occurrence, so I'm not sure. Though Bodhi Leaf has lots of outlets and table space, beware, because 9 times out of 10, they're roasting coffee and it's pretty loud. read more

I met a friend of mine here this past Sunday (9/4/22) since she was buying a plant across the street at Home Depot. I've seen this place before and didn't think much of it due to the appearance of its location; it doesn't look inviting and it's next to some Bounce U house for kids. Boy was I wrong! This place is nice inside. Granted their AC was blowing cold and it was 94 degrees. The barista was very sweet, I asked if she preferred the iced lavender latte or the iced caramel latte. She replied with mixing the two is actually very delicious, however, it was my first time there and I didn't want to risk any disappointment. I went with a 16oz iced lavender latte. It is delicious, so delicious I went back the very next day with my boyfriend and both times, forgot to snap a photo! The flavor isn't too sweet but you can also taste the coffee, it doesn't taste like some artificially flavored drink. I would like to try other flavors, but now that I know the lavender is fire, it'll be pretty hard to veer off... The only con I have is that when I went with my boyfriend, he got their drip coffee and it was good, however the cup would not stop leaking. I'm not sure if it was a cup issue or coffee being too hot and making the cup an issue? It soaked through about 6-7 napkins I had in my cup holder so that was a bummer. read more

I love the vibes here! The staff is super friendly and kind. The ambiance and seating are perfect. There are nice, big tables to study at or have lunch with friends. The music they play is great, too, lots of indie and alternative. I ordered the hot matcha latte with oatmilk, and it was delicious. It was perfectly hot! The Big Bird Sando was pretty good as well, the sourdough toast had a really nice crunch to it! I loved the sprouts and the jam on it, although I did think something was missing. I think it needs a little something extra, like a mild chipotle dressing or some sort of extra seasoning. The portion size was really great for the price, it served as two meals for me, but it depends how hungry you are! I ate the first sand which and then I noticed that the other one had a little fly on the turkey. I don't know if it flew on or not but it was already dead so maybe not. I hope that it's clean in the kitchen, but this probably doesn't happen often. This is the only reason I'm giving the review four stars. Hopefully the staff will check the food before serving and make sure that there aren't any bugs near the food prep station. Other than that, my visit was really great and I enjoyed studying here. Cute spot with plenty of seats in Orange across from the Home Depot on Katella. I honestly did not know this spot existed, but I don't go down Katella often so that could be why I missed it. Friendly spot, I ordered the Iced Green Tea and it was super good. Music plays overhead but not too loud so you can enjoy your conversations! Free Wifi, just like literally no outlets. I think the only spot that has outlets is the bar top area. One of my fav coffee shops, I came in 30 minutes before closing and right off the bat the girl who took my order wasnt very friendly and just gave me mean girl vibes lol I asked if they had a pumpkin spice latte and she gave me a weird look and nodded and said "mmhm" i was just tryna try something new and i felt dumb for even asking if they were offering pumpkin spice. Today was my very first visit to this location and bulls eye....,,only asked time and the awesome crew made my burrito exactly how I loke it.....extra crispy. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly friendly and accommodating. With exception of the coffee roaster. Asked him if he was the manager, he seemed like he did not want to be bothered; or perhaps just laser focused on the coffee beans. I will definitely drive the extra miles to enjoy my drinks and burritos at this location in Orange. When I explained all this to the beautiful manager, she was so humble, gracious, and appreciative. If you're looking for a new and authentic coffee shop to fuel your addiction, Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders is hands down the best there is. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after seeing it on the show The Profit with Marcus Lemonis. I wouldn't say I'm a coffee connoisseur. I definitely don't drink coffee black and if I'm being honest, I can't tell when a coffee is roasted and flavored with notes of "hazelnut and caramel" or "cherry and cinnamon". My coffee addiction began at Starbucks, like everyone else. But my coffee journey has led me to Bodhi and I'm never looking back! Starbucks coffee is full of sugars and other things to give it more flavor, but Bodhi is legitimately authentic coffee. I don't know all the proper vernacular, but it appears that they roast and grind the beans in-house. I have tried all of their iced lattes and I love every single one. You can even mix the syrups to create your own concoction (I love vanilla and caramel together, or vanilla and cinnamon). I was recently introduced by one of the baristas to their version of the Starbucks' caramel macchiato. Bodhi's version of that drink is called a Caramel Twist. It's delicious and I order it every time I come in now. I always used to notice that Starbucks would fill my cup with tons of ice and milk and only a small helping of coffee. It always frustrated me, but I figured it was just how all coffee shops operated. When I discovered Bodhi, I also discovered that their ice to coffee ratio is flipped. I'm now not left with a full cup of ice and I feel like I get such a better bang for my buck! The parking at this location is pretty terrible, but that doesn't dissuade me from coming. There is a single row of parking spots right in front of the shop that are always all taken. If you don't mind a quick walk, you can find additional parking on the right of the building in the middle of the shopping center. I can't say enough great things about this coffee shop. If you're over the high prices and long lines associated with Starbucks coffee, you HAVE to try Bodhi. They are beginning to expand their company and have several new locations. read more

Why can't there be a Bodhi close to where I live? I came here with one other person on a weekday for a quick drink. I went with their holiday special, the S'more Latte with soy. Yum! It was the perfect amount of sweetness and milk. It was full of flavor and was really good. It had me ready for the whole day. The person I came with ended up getting a frap that was also really yummy. As for service, the guy at the register was very friendly and knowledgeable. He asked that we tried our drinks to make sure we liked them. I like that the drinks came out fast and we were in and out in no time. The inside of this place is very large and you can see how they make their coffees. There are plenty of places to sit and hang out and enjoy your drink.
