Stopped at Bocca Osteria on the recommendation of the hotel. Coming from Boston I am always skeptical about Italian restaurants in a tourist destination. Man I was I surprised. The food was absolutely amazing. To start we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who sat us outside on a beautiful night, although there can be some noise from the traffic as it's on a main road. How waitress and as super helpful and very patient as we asked questions regarding a person with a gluten allergy in our party. We had the eggplant parm panini which was gluten free and was told it was super fresh and tasty. We also ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, rigatoni Alfredo, Bucatini All Amatriciana, and the bocca chicken righties, medium spice. All of the pasta tasted as it was made on site. Everything was super fresh and very flavorful. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. read more

Disappointed in the new Bocca. Noise levels were deafening and surpassed the old Bocca. Pizzas were smaller and no appetizer bread or even a separate plate for the pizza was provided. Not sure if the staff was having a bad night and I don't want to blame the restaurant as a whole. My family was renting a house in Cooperstown for the weekend and ordered takeout, we spent over $200 and the result is poor. One meal we ordered was a caprese salad and I think the picture below speaks to the overall quality of all the meal. The optimist in me wants to believe this is a fluke occurrence for the restaurant but I'm not sure. The staff was also rude when we were picking up. Stopped here for dinner after our visit to Cooperstown. Despite several recent reviews stating the location was closed, we found it to be open. The interior reminded me of the 60s, I assume these were the renovations mentioned by others, as the design looked fresh. Service was prompt and attentive, and our waitress even gave us some local sightseeing tips (noticing we weren't locals). We ordered the chicken parm, tagliatelle bolognese, and the kids pizza. All of the pasta tasted homemade, with traditional preparations. Notably, the chicken parm came out crispy (not soggy), the bolognese had plenty of meat, and the kids pizza could easily fill an adult. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. read more

One of the many places we visited while in Cooperstown for Dreams Park. Nice quaint little restaurant. Service was normal, nothing special. Pretty attentive to our table. Most everyone enjoyed the food and the portions seemed fair to me. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of menu items for entrees. Missing normal Italian fare like Chicken Parm, and Spaghetti and meatballs. I did like the choices of pizzas though. There were some that I would like to try the next time. A problem to me is the lack of splitting checks. While it doesn't seem like it would be a problem, when you are with four different groups of people, it makes it a pain to figure everything out. Not sure why this is such a practice in many Cooperstown eateries, but it really isn't that tough to split checks. Overall, if you are to visit this restaurant, please check the menu first to make sure there is something that looks like you would enjoy it. read more

We stopped in here on way to a show. It's a charming, homey, spot with some outdoor seating available. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu offers traditional Italian fare with selection of wood fired pizza. Instead of bread for the table, they bring a plate of fresh, warm, baked dough (kinda like wedges of pizza crust) with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on dish for dipping. Very nice. My dinner choice was the fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle cream sauce. The pasta fresh made and cooked perfectly. The sauce was good (though I can say I really tasted any truffles.). We decided to take a trip to the Fenimore Art Museum on a snowy Saturday but we needed to find a place to eat. We turned to our trusted friends at Yelp to find somewhere to eat. Bocca Osteria ticked most of our boxes. We showed up for lunch and there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. It was really quiet.We were seated in view of their beautiful, wood fired, pizza oven. Asia was our server and she was great, incredibly welcoming while not intrusive. While we were worried about how empty the restaurant was Asia was quick to tell us that they were fully booked within the next couple of hours before the Cooperstown candlelight festival. We started with an order of bruschetta while we looked over the menu. I ordered a glass of a California pinot noir and my husband had a draft Ommegang. We ordered fruitti di mare and spaghetti carbonara. Both dishes were excellent. My only complaint was the less than stellar selection of wines by the glass. Without a reservation, on the day of the National Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony we were seated in about 10 minutes. We did come several hours after the ceremony and it was very busy both at the bar & in the dining room. The service was excellent and the entrees and dessert were even better! We will certainly return on our next visit to Cooperstown. This place was amazing. I was visiting Cooperstown with my boyfriend. We were looking for a nice place to have dinner. We saw the reviews and photos and thought this is something we should try. We got there and we were seated immediately. We sat outside in a bubble that was there due to covid. The waiter, jack, was great and he promptly greeted us and put our drink order in. When we put our orders in we didn't wait long. We decided to get three pasta dishes and share. All of it tasted so great. I had been meaning to come here for about a year as I heard they had great food and it was one of the best places to eat in town. I finally got to stop in a few weeks ago and I'm really glad I was able to come here before I move out of the area. The decor is not even remotely close to what I thought it would be when I thought of Italian restaurant. It's very modern and odd-looking, but I won't hold that to them because the food was great! My fiancée and I both had wine and had the gamberetto (pancetta, shrimp, and fried goat cheese) for an appetizer. The gamberetto was fantastic and was very tasty. We also had the margherita pizza and it was great as well (delicious basil, yum!). This is a great place and really is one of the nicest places in town. I highly recommend it! read more

The food is pretty good,ambiance is good and seems clean. Price is fair for being in Cooperstown. The issue is the service. Some of the staff is wonderful as was our server. However, three servers were sitting around the pizza cook at the bar very loudly talking, laughing and swearing. This really ruins anything the restaurant has going for it. There seems to be a lack of management and leadership. Not surprising, those being unprofessional are drinking on the job. Hope this changes in the figure. read more
