This place was so good, we went twice during our trip to Dreamspark. Everything was absolutely fresh and on point. Everyone was so nice and helpful, they all went above and beyond. Parking can be rough being that it's so close to the park but worth looking for a spot. I had the Chicken Parm the first time and my wife had the gnocchi. Second time around, I went with the eggplant parm, which was equally phenomenal. Our son came with us the second time, so we also ordered the antipasto board. OUT....... OF...... THIS...... It's a shame that decent food could be ruined by poor service provided by the Owner of this establishment. We came to cooperstown for the summer baseball tournament. During this time many local businesses are excited to have large groups of families and kids. Well all but one. While dining here with the team we noticed several kids did not get their meal. When we calmly asked the server about the food, she said they are bring plates out. Mind you 47/50 plates were served and the 3 that were missing were for 3 of the kids. The owner came out and asked what the problem is and we explained that 3 kids did not get their order. Rather than trying to figure out a solution to the problem, she argued how busy they were and then proceeded to state that we shouldn't come to their venue with such a large group. I was shocked to hear a business owner not want business. This town prides themselves for groups like this. Every other business has processes in place to handle large groups. Instead, the owner of this and Upstate Bar and Grill wanted to continue with the banter qell after the first conversation. She proceeded to yell at the kids and thats when we decided that it was enough. Lady they are 12 year old boys! For those going to cooperstown, BEWARE!!!! read more

We found Bocca Osteria because it was a good halfway point to meet up with family, and it was exactly what we were looking for! The inside was decorated beautifully, and the menu had so many Italian choices to choose from. They also had a decent kids menu for my niece to pick from. I've had better Italian, but for the area we were in, it was good! Our server was attentive and friendly, and we appreciated that they offered to have my niece make her pizza at the table. Stopped here for dinner during a quick weekend trip to Cooperstown. Stayed at the Hampton, so it's just a few minutes down the road. We ordered drinks which came out with a bit of bread and olive oil/balsamic for dipping. The homemade gnocchi is excellent, and the pesto cream sauce is wasn't too heavy. Highly recommend adding the burrata. My sister had the carbonara - she said it was good. The portions here are smaller than other places - you may not have much or any leftovers. Not a problem for us since we're traveling and don't have a place to keep leftovers, but just something to note if you're used to the giant portions you get at most pasta places. On a Saturday night, it was very loud inside so we opted to sit on the patio. It was still pretty loud out there, but we could still easily have a conversation. The patio is nice! Looks like for cooler months there are a bunch of heaters set up to keep it cozy. If you just wanted drinks, I also really liked the fire pits and chairs set up out front. On a Saturday evening, we came for a quick meal. Outside seating was beautiful even on a chilly night in late November. Inside was very well laid out with plenty of seating and a nice bar area which over flowed to a pizza bar. Lots of servers always attentive. The menu was very extensive along with daily specials. We ordered the special appetizer, arachini balls with sausage and broccoli rabe and a margarita pizza. The balls were the high light. The sauce served with the balls was so good we asked for more to dip the pizza in. We could've ate a dozen of them. The pizza was light with a crunchy crust. Sauce was very good as well. I got the clams and spaghetti in a white wine sauce that was amazing and my husband had the lasagna and he loved it. I understand that this is an American Italian restaurant, but there were some issues. The server was lovely. The calamari was rubbery and not good, the meatballs were not very hot and somewhat generic. The cheese moons were ok. As far as the pasta, it was cooked properly, the only issue I had was that they didn't use giancale in the amatriciana, they substituted pancetta. Had higher expectations. read more

Great find in Cooperstown! We sat on the patio, it's cute with a mix of covered areas, uncovered tables and some with umbrellas. There were four of us, two people ordered the meat and cheese board app for their lunch. There is a large salad that is already dressed and has red onions, olives, peppers and Parmesan mixed in. The meats were soppressata and prosciutto. There was mozzarella on the board, slices baguette and goat cheese stuffed peppers. Lastly, there was a side of gardinera and more vinaigrette. The boards were beautiful and delicious!!! The margherita pizza was also great, plenty of sauce and a wood fired crust. Lastly, I ordered the eggplant parm panini. It wasn't usual panini bread, in fact the bread was so doughy, I took off one piece and ate mine open faced. I loved it, just did not need that much bread. Service was good. We've had numerous meals at Bocca. Normally, very good quality and happy with the overall experience. However, this evening, one order of Fettucine Ai Funghi served to us (we had a party of seven) had an approximately one inch long piece of plastic served in the dish which a member of our party bit into. Fortunately, he didn't cut his mouth and did not swallow the plastic. We told our server and asked to have the plate re-made since we had no confidence that additional foreign material made its way into the dish. He had it remade and brought it back to the table, but by then everyone else in our party finished their meal so this issue disrupted our whole meal. What was quite surprising, no member of their staff stopped by to apologize. If that happens at a restaurant, generally the manager, owner, or chef will stop at the table and profusely apologize. And they often will comp the person a glass of wine or dessert to make up for the unpleasant and quite frankly dangerous situation that a foreign object creates when in a dish. Didn't happen at Bocca. They didn't even seem to care, and went about business as usual. We had a bill close to $300 and one would think they would be more appreciative of their customers and apologetic when an unexcusable food issue occurs. read more

Couldn't get into our first choice as too long a line so we decided to try this sight unseen. Small, expensive portions, but by then we were too tired & hungry to look elsewhere. Lots of cars in the parking lot, we could barely find a spot to park but plenty of tables once we got into the restaurant. Very small portions. My spaghetti with clam sauce had the fewest & smallest clams I'd ever seen. My friend's shrimp scampi was better with 5 shrimp but still hardly worth the $26 each. Most of the cars in the parking lot had out of state license plates so obviously a tourist place. In short, the food was tasty but not worth the price. read more

The food, service, and presentation were exceptional. A plate of pita and olive oil was presented to accompany our drinks. Being seniors, we share most meals. We decided on the capresi as a starter which was a beautiful plate of fresh mozzarella, tomato, and balsamic vinegar. We then shared the lobster ravioli in creamy mushroom sauce which was to die for.
