The owner asked me start the car interrupting me while I was checking if the engine had oil in it (my car was recovered). Moreover, he was so irritated by the fact that I was checking if the engine had oil in it! This sums to the fact that the owner doesn't seems to know much about cars and foolish in some sense! This review is pertaining to James Brandt I had the worst day when my car got a flat on the freeway during my lunch break which caused me to lose 2 hrs at work. I swapped it with a spare and took it to a nearby tire shop. That evening after I got off work and I paid for a brand new tire, the shop I took it to did not correctly install the tire and again I found myself stranded on the freeway with a flat. James was contacted by my insurance company and was onsite in what felt like no time at all. Even if he had taken a while, I would've still been satisfied because his positive attitude, friendly demeanor and willingness to take total control of the situation made everything so much easier for me. I lost my last fob key to my BRZ and my car needed to be towed from the second floor parking garage at work to the dealer in order to reprogram another fob. (downside of newer cars ) James came sooner than expected and had my BRZ hooked up and ready to go so fast! Plus he expertly maneuvered throughly tough corners. There's nothing like realizing your phone has been stolen. Except when you realize your phone has been stolen and your car won't start. My car roadside service company contracted out Bob's Towing and I couldn't be happier. Ron showed up and managed to jump start my car with the help of a booster. He then expertly and calmly explained what was happening inside my engine and related it to his experience with similar models which was very comforting! He even offered to follow me over to a car place, which came in handy when my car died AGAIN 2 minutes later. He gave me another jump, and then followed me to the car place and got them to get their act together (more on that to follow in my next review) Ron is the best! read more

This review is for James Brandt. He came to tow my car one night when my right tire popped and my car was leaking oil. To save me some time he told me before arriving that he had an alternative way to tow the car instead of using a flatbed since it will take longer, which was great. When he arrived he made sure i was comfortable since it was late at night and was freezing. Once we reached the dealership to drop off my car he helped me coordinate the overnight drop off before taking off. He was a great and speedy help that night. Thanks James! read more

My insurance contacted this company when I needed a tow. Initial arrival estimate was 1 hour. As soon at that expired it was updated to another hour. I locked the keys in the delivery van with flowers inside and a very tight schedule. I called Bob's towing and was told the driver would be there soon, not to worry. I was already worried, stressed and tripping that I would not be able to meet my responsibilities. The young man arrived within 15 minutes and made quick work unlocking the door. Worst service ever. I was in a severe accident. The tow truck was called by chp. The driver amir told me it would be 353$ to tow it to my house and we were wasting time. When he got to my house he said it was 470 to put the car in my driveway. He said for 400$ he would leave it in the middle of our street. Following an argument he left the car in the middle of the street and drove away. I'm filing a consumer complaint as well. Never use this company. read more

My neighbors car wouldn't start so she called Bob's towing. I came over to help while she was waiting because I have some experience as a mechanic. Josh arrived and was excellent. He calmed the situation down, helped unload everything she had in the car (a fully loaded Honda Pilot). He also took the time to understand the situation so he could communicate to the garage and checked all of the obvious things (and a few that aren't so obvious) to see if the tow was actually needed. This last part is what lead me to write the review, Josh could just have picked up the car. He took the time to do more and helped. read more

Negative experience . I didn't call Bob's towing, but officer did and insisted to I work with them. We negotiate price to Antioch from San Jose $900 and they charged me upfront. In a few miles truck driver called me and said he couldn't go there and he will pay me back $450 for two hours. After we put towing car from his truck to my trailer he changed his mind and signed bill with return $225 only. However I haven't got any return yet. I called their office, I was promised that they will figure out what is going on, but no one called me back. Looks like a fraud. read more

No power at all. I was in a complete panic and about to completely implode. Roadside assistance dispatched for towing service, and James took the call. He not only got my car to start, but he quickly assessed the problem and was clear and articulate and calm. He calmed me down right away and I appreciated that more than anything. My boyfriends car was stolen but later found abandoned in middle of a parking lot. No keys and battery was cut. This company towed my dad's truck only like a block and charged him $230, which is a complete rip off. Then my dad had to leave his truck with them because he was having problems verifying his registration even though it was valid and the tags were current. When he came to get his truck 2 days after it was initially towed he had to pay $1,000 on top of the $230, for just towing and storing his vehicle. When my father tried to go to his own truck to see the mileage, the owner was very rude to him and would not let him. This was such a nightmare, very rude people and horrible customer service. Maybe the prices could've been explained better and the situation could've overall went better if the people weren't so rude and unwelcoming. He also demanded cash up front which is very unprofessional. read more

James, the tow truck driver, is top flight. I have a classic car that died - a blocked fuel filter or fuel pump issue and I needed to have the car returned home. He is very experienced and while hooking me up at the rear axle he noticed a separate potential issue that needed to be checked into by my mechanic. He didn't have to say a lick about it. He cares. He took a couple pictures of the issue with my camera. Everything was smooth and I had complete confidence that my car was in great hands. read more
