Updating my review because there coffee cups & lids suck! The lids don't fully go over the rim of the cup, so what you get is coffee leaking from the top the cup. I left half an inch of room this morning, and coffee still leaks out, while your driving or walking. This is insanity! Best Bagel/Breakfast spot in Lyndhurst by far. Yes, the lines could be long on weekends but you would be a fool not to call ahead and place a pickup order. And contrary to another review, you don't have to wait in line once you get there. There is a register on the left for pick ups & quick orders like coffee & bagels with no spreads on them. The staff is great and friendly and from my experience have been quick and efficient. The Iced coffee hits the spot. My favorite bagel is the whole-wheat everything, OMG, soooooo good! Bacon Egg & Cheese on a whole wheat wrap is my new thing. Bacon is usually flacid and fatty, so you need to tell them to make it crispy!!! Their grilled chicken caesar salad is pretty good too, for the price. I recently ordered grilled chicken caesar salads from multiple restaurants in Lyndhurst and this one by far was the best value. About $7 for a good portion of well seasoned chicken breast that didn't have any funky taste or anything to it like I have experienced from some of the pizza places in town. The dressing is not heavy and creamy. Seems to be a light caesar dressing. Jesus Christ did I ramble about the salad...sorry, lol. Sausage, Egg, & Cheese sandwiches are pretty good as well. They have egg whites and also make omlets which are served as a platter with home fries and toast. They used to have really great tasting whole wheat, whole grain rolls but unfortunately they don't carry them anymore. Overall, yes they could be busy but just call ahead! Long lines and messed up orders virtually every time. They never care either when then screw up your order after you wait in the long slow moving line. Won't be going back after 2yrs, it's progressively gotten worse. 5-23-19 Stopped in because lot was empty and figured they could get my order done quickly. Stood in line alone for 5 minutes with no order taken, that is til someone else walked in then the register person decides to take their order before mine. Telling a customer we can't make your sandwich because it is to difficult it is unacceptable. It wasn't even that difficult to make. Adding pickles on only half of a sandwich isn't hard. All you had to do was cut the bagel in half, lift the one side and throw the pickles on there. The crazy part is I had just order the same sandwich a week prior so it is possible. Not sure what's up with the low reviews but this is a super solid spot with some of the best everything bagels I've had. The key is to call ahead, they get swamped on the weekends and the wait can be long. They have a cute patio to eat outside also! Bagels are okay but the counter help needs an attitude adjustment. All I specified was to toast my bagel well done and miss thing behind the counter rolled her eyes and as she was walking away mumbled something to another co-worker. I waited way too long to get coffee today. I was meaning to go earlier than 2:30, but I was trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by running an errand for work at the same time. Finally I go and the office I had to go to is closed, so now I have to go back in an hour anyway. Great. Off to food and coffee. Ordered 2 wraps to go. The food is pretty decent. They use good ingredients so I tend to pick this place over fast food. I never love my lunch, but it gets the job done. Today in particular, I got a wrap, unwrapped the tin foil, and started munchin away. The wrap was double wrapped - aluminum and then paper (technically triple wrapped if you count the actual wrap itself). Yeeeah.. the paper blended in with the color of my wrap so I ate it.... yeah you heard that right...like at least a quarter of it... This was pre-coffee mind you. Then my next bite (non-wrapper) somehow managed to squirt sauce up into my sleeve. wth... I start guzzling coffee to jump-start my brain. The iced coffee is bangin!! Might have to pass up Dunkin from now on..(ahhh sacrilege). The only thing is that there is often a long line, and if there's not, it still takes kind of a long time to get food.. granted it's not fast food, but still. I need to try their breakfast. I bet it's good. All their muffins, cookies, and brownies look delish too. I'll have to come back in the morning to avoid my brain malfunctioning. read more

Wow I happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted just a bottle of water but ended up with a sandwich as well. I had not read any of the reviews beforehand and I'm glad. I had the complete opposite experience. Service was great. I had the Spanish lady and she was very courteous and quick with my order, granted I was the only person there. I ordered the ham and cheese on and everything bagel and wow those bagels are HUGE. Sandwich was delicious!!! I assume the horrible service is during morning and lunch rush? I go to Bob's bagels because the bagels like everyone else has said are good. Everyone on here has complained mostly about the rude customer service and the lack of them correcting your order when it is wrong. Today I found myself in the same position. I ordered 2 bagels and when I pointed out neither were toasted I was told I would have to pay for 4 bagels if I wanted the ordered corrected?? The morning manager/cashier whatever she is there, didn't even take my order. She rudely butts in to tell me I have to pay for all the wrong and corrected bagels! Corrected bagels? You didn't even take the order. I asked her if it was worth losing a customer who lives down the street, coming here atleast 2 times a week over cream cheese bagels. I work in corporate food service and try to support local business because I feel it is important to the community. I will never step foot in this store again. I hope the owner realizes how this head cashier is a detriment to his business. This is why corporate establishment are booming and the local mom-and-pop's go out of business. The amount of complaints on this One employee takes up a lot of space on your review page. I understand mom and pops don't have the $$ backing that corporate establishments have but we are talking about a .25 cent bagel not a porthouse for 2. Charging me for food I am not walking out the door with? I'll drive to bagel supreme less than a Mile away or Goldberg's out of pure principle. Went there for breakfast as it was one of the few places open Sunday early morning. Great little patio outside. Good decent selection. The vegetarian eggs platter was amazing and so was the grilled cheese sandwich on croissant. And the prices are reasonable too :) read more

The bagels aren't bad, they're about average, no better or worse than a typical local bagel place. I stopped going here because of the poor customer service. The store is on a main street and gets busy which leads to over crowding, I get it. This, however, isn't an excuse to treat customers poorly. The demeanor I felt every time I came here was very unwelcoming, as if they were doing me a favor for accepting an order. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the lady behind the register yelled at me for the way I ordered a sandwich. I came here instead of my normal shop hoping to find another bagel shop I liked. They have signs that say only 5 people in the store at the time, and when I arrived, there were at least 10 people crammed inside. I waited outside until more people left. The bagels are good but you'll have to wait 25 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese. It's not cause everyone comes here but because they are so unorganized. One register for the morning rush. If you think you'll save time and call to order ahead, you're not saving time cause you'll still be waiting at least 15-20 mins to pay. Consider opening up both registers. One register handles phone orders, the other handles in person orders. read more

I get a bagel from Bob's as often as I can. And let me tell you that it is no problem to get them. They bagels are always flesh. I normally get a plain bagel with butter, & it is always so good. The bagel is soft, warm, & the butter is fabulous. But the only problem I have with it is that unless you plan on going at around 6 o'clock in the morning, parking is horrid. Bobs Bagels are great. However, the lead cashier taking orders has a very rude disposition. Could I allow one employees horrible communication skills to overshadow great food? Of course not. Stuff has a listening problem. Normally I ask flat bagel with cream cheese and ask double toast. Why would be so difficult to make this order. Each time I got it without even toasted. I've been going to bobs for a number of years but I think my time has come to an end for a few reasons. First and foremost, I found a better bagel place down the road (Ridge Road bagels). Secondly, I'm over the wait times. They get longer and longer. The other day, I was waiting literally 20 minutes, the place was packed (all with people who seemed to come after me). I ordered a grilled chicken panini with ONLY mayo fresh mozzarella and spinach and they gave me the regular panini with pesto. When I called to tell them, the girl was telling me it was my fault for not specifying to other girl that I wanted to make my own panini. I have been coming here for years. Never had an issue with the food or service. Bagels are good, and sometimes if the place is busy there may be a bit of a wait but nothing crazy, never waited much more than 5-10 minutes for my order. I will add that I'm always there early 7:30 to 8:30 am. Never felt any one was being rude. I walked in there tonight around 6:30pm and the staff was cleaning. Literally, on their hands and knees. I ordered potato salad to go and she never changed her gloves. At first I was going to let it go, but I decided to confront her about it. She tried to tell me that she wasn't cleaning but then proceeded to say that she changes her gloves between every order. I told her I wanted her to change her gloves and prepare the potato salad again.
