We bought a brand new dog bed and our puppy chewed on the zipper the first day we got it. We spent a lot of money on it so I took it to Bobby Page for a repair. I spoke with the person at the door and told them exactly what happened and what I wanted. They said it would be no problem. I wanted the zipper fixed but no cleaning since it was literally right out of the package. After two weeks it was returned with a note that said "No instructions from the customer"!! But wait - that is not even the worst part!!! They charged me $55 to clean a brand new bed that had never been slept on. The note said it was heavily soiled!! I can't even begin to understand how they could have handled this so poorly!! We have been long time customers but it is time to find a competent, reliable dry cleaner. read more

This was exceptionally professional and really a class act on manager Amy's part. This very simple but much appreciated correction will now encourage me to become a repeat customer and encourage others to use their services. I respect the time of their employees and at no time was the service ever poor, pricing just seemed off. Let me start by saying the staff is very nice and the seamstress was lovely but talk about price gauging. It's really bad. I took a very basic black cocktail dress to have literally 2 inches removed from each should strap then resewn. That was it. No hemming, nothing major and I was charged $62.00. I know that nothing is cheap any more but this was such an overcharge. I was convinced they mixed up my charge with someone else's. When I called the woman rambled on about everyone on staff is a master tailor (I doubt that) and then said something really odd - that is also was based on the designer of the dress? Which should have been my first red flag, After "cleaning" the rug they tell me it was "extremely soiled" with this one stain WELL, $299 later & they couldn't even get the one stain out! "Here I go again"...nothing like a little Whitesnake as we check on another business in Reno rocking 2 stars Yelpstars. I've been using Bobby Page's in Reno for over a half decade. Been using the Sandhill location since Fall of 2019. I've never had a bad experience at any Bobby Page's location. I've always been greeted and treated when I arrive to drop off my bag of clothing. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and I come here biweekly. The Sandhill location is Bobby Pages' flagship store and they rolling out the red carpet for their customers. This location has a drive thru door for drop off and free dry cleaning delivery. For some of the Yelpsters who gave two star reviews at this location, over stains not being removed, or miscommunications, or whatever petty b*llshit you trying to put on Bobby Page's go get a life. It's funny how all these people who complain got less than 99 Yelp friends and have written only one review, which is for this business. So Yelpstars please remember that being a true Yelper is TRUTH. A review shouldn't be written by emotion. As far as Bobby Page's goes, I'll continue to bring my dress clothing to BP's for some 5 Star cleaning. Peace. read more

Your urgency is much appreciated, HA! instead of responding on Yelp behind your computer screen, why don't you return the multiple calls and voicemails I left trying to reach you? & please don't accuse me of lying, I did not lie. pretty disappointing that this is how you handle business, getting into arguments on Yelp instead of handling it face to face like a professional or at least calling to speak with me directly. BP: Hi Eligah, A couple hours Sincerely, Bobby Pages Anyone in their right mind who reads this, would probably be under the same understanding as me, i asked how much it would be with just taking in the sleeves, and was told 36, and then asked how much it would be to also take some length off and you said 67. there may have been a miscommunication here, as I understood that the total for both alterations would be 67, and instead you guys added the 36 and the 67, and then multiplied that number by 2 (for both coats). Whereas, I understood that the TOTAL for each item would be 67, not 67+36. That was not clarified, and that is poor communication on the part of your employee. He could have easily responded with, for example: "to bring the sleeves in (36$) and to shorten the length (67$) that will be a total of 103$"... instead he was very short cryptic in his text messages, not providing that clarification. When someone asks how much will "x" be, and you respond "36$" and then ask well how much will it be if I add "y" and they receive an amount (67$), most would naturally assume that second figure is the total. Obviously when someone asks how much will IT be," "IT" is referring to the total. So, Clearly a misunderstanding, but this could've been easily resolved with clearer communication on the part of the original employee, OR a response to my emails or phone calls when I asked to speak to a manager, Not a yelp reply 2 months later. Yes, I did return to your store for a different type of matter, as it is right near my house And is most convenient for me. I did not expect this to be held over my head. However, again I was charged an absurd amount of 23$ for a hole in the seam of my pants, less than half an inch long. This would be a few dollar fix at most any other alteration service location. By the looks of your other yelp reviews, it looks as if I'm not the first customer to get duped and manipulated by your inept employees and your absurd prices. I now, will never be returning to your store, as you have proven that not only do you not appropriately handle customer service matters, in a timely manner, or a respectful manner, but now you want to make false accusations online. I have been using Bobby Page's for quite some time now. I mainly go for alterations. Their tailor is really good! When I need a hem shortened I go to Bobby's! When I need patches in my jeans I go to Bobby's! When I need a rip repaired I go to Bobby's. I've never had any problems and when I get an alteration I often get my item dry cleaned. The drop off process is easy and pick up is even easier! Just give them your number and you're good to go! I get a text when my item is ready. I really appreciate that! Some day I may use their delivery service. I'm just not busy enough yet. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. My son needed a shirt sewn. I'd made the mistake of trying to cut a tag out and cut the seam. I didn't want to sew it myself and create a buckle in the shirt. They had to sew ONE INCH. The shirt is black, not hard to match a thread to. They charged him $22.50 FOR ONE, yes, I said ONE inch of sewing. When my son dropped it off to them, they couldn't tell him how much it would be. This price was totally unacceptable. I will NEVER give them business again. Beware! This place charges as much as double the regular price for designer brands to be dry cleaned. Meaning a 100% Pima cotton collared shirt is typically around $7.50 but if it bears a premium brand logo or name on the tag you are going to get charged $14+! Ive been taking my clothes to this Bobby Pages location for years and years. I can only imagine how much I have overpaid throughout the years. What's crazy is the last time I took some really nice one of a kind, made in Reno items in to have dry cleaned they charged me regular price on them and no up charge. These are items that if ruined you couldn't replace and again regular pricing was applied. However if they spot a designer name the up-charging takes place! For reference I tried another dry cleaner not too far from this Bobby Pages. They are by Walmart in Damonte Ranch and botta bing botta boom no up-charge for designer names! Now you know!! read more

I've had a coat cleaned a few times and it was great. The tailoring that I had done was exceptional. I've had pants and blouse sleeves shortened shortened that were very neat and fresh looking. The best thing was the shaker knit sweater that needed to be repaired. There was a 2-3 inch area at the neck line that was starting to unravel. BP offers pick up & delivery and it makes it so convenient to do my dry cleaning. I would often have my cleaning "ready to go" and it would sit in my closet or my car until I finally remembered to drop it off. Bobby Page's makes it so much better! Check your charges before you pay. I went in for alterations and was charged a cleaning fee (that I specifically declined when I dropped off my dress). When I spoke to the manager she was very dismissive and said she could not give me my money back but gave me credit for "next time." The lack of communication has concluded me to this 2 star review. I feel that as a customer, the services that is being provided should include the cost being relayed to their customer. How can an "honest" business not provide the estimate for the services they give? Basically my $50 white maxi dress turned into a $140 service. For tailoring a 3in hem on the front/half of the dress. Not even all/full around as the tailor recommended in which I verbally denied and 2 in hem to lift the slit of my dress. And a dry cleaning with a requested turn around of 1week and a day. I would hope they would improve their communication skills and be upfront and honest with their customer instead and slapping them with an overpriced bill. Pros that keep me coming back: 1. This location has a drive thru which is so random it's amazing. 2. The cleaner has never broken any buttons on my shirts (an issue I had with previous places). 3. The staff is kind. 4. They provide alternations on site and their prices are fair for the services provided. I had a suit finished here. The care they took to alter the jacket to minimize the shoulder pads to fit better was appreciated and made the suit fit, and look, far better than I imagined. Their prices are where they lose a star. I understand they have serious quality working in their favor and for my shirts this is a great place. $15 for my wifes dresses however? Ouch. I will continue to come here as they have treated me, and my clothes, quite well over the last 4 or so months. read more

On my 2nd visit for the same item the pressing was poor, items had hair all over them, and they wouldn't honor the $97 quote I received after measuring. Here's what happens when you don't listen to the Universe. I had 3 suits that I had purchased from a warehouse ( not for boys, for men ). The tailor there left the pants puckered from the hems. I was decided to just let it go, along with the suits & get new ones but after abundant referrals I was finally convinced to come here. I made the assistant aware of the services needed ( hems unpuckered & since I was there already, 1 inch taken in on shoulders ). I was measured up by the tailor of 25 years who also shared my disappointment of the previous tailor & assured me would be an easy fix & done right. One week later-TADA! 2/3 pants still puckered, the other not as bad. As for the Suit coats, though good on shoulders not so much on the under arms. 1 had the sleeves about 1 inch shorter than what they were when I dropped them off. I was assured the "sleeves were not touched" which would only leave the obvious explanation that my arms had stretched out magically within a week but only when I put on that specific suit. Having a tell-tell face & what I believe, out of pure coincidence, the owner or manager present I was offered a 2nd try, comped, so I could be righted the Bobby Paige way. I agreed. A week later( 2 weeks total ), they FINALLY GOT IT...to where I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! Rest assured they will respond to my review with some over thought, insincere reply where like many companies these days the customer is wrong & the company itself is the victim. I'm not saying they are the worst but for the prices they charge & the quality they give in return I would strongly suggest they stick to dry cleaning. As for the "25 year veteran tailor", based on my experience alone, you will need about another 25 years for your skill level to still fall short from average.
