I've been using Save-On Cleaners for a little over four years. And I've haven't had a single issue. That quite a statement for a dry cleaner. Always on time and looking great. The couple that run Save-on are just so friendly and professional. I find it simply amazing they know the majority of there clients by there first name. I have used save on cleaners for years and I have tried atleast 5 other dry cleaners in town. I have had problems with every single dry cleaners. The only problem I consistently have with sav on is the safety pin the tag in the worst places on the shirts and they push the safety pin thru the shirts leaving it looking bad. This company stole my clothing and not only did they NOT REFUND the missing clothing, they also KEPT/STOLE THE MONEY I PAID THEM, IN ADVANCE, TO CLEAN THE CLOTHING. I visited the location many times until the worker gave me a number for the owner. I called that number day after day and he never returned my call. I then got the Better Business bureau involved and this company ignored BBB (BBB doesn't actually have authority, this company is not a member). I asked Capital One to at least help get the cleaning fee back, they couldn't help me. This is not a reputable business - stay away! This man also owns two other locations in Reno - do your research, review ratings on BBB (the companies range from D- to F on BBB). STAY AWAY, CONSUMERS! I started using this cleaners after several bad experiences at fabric care specialists (check my reviews on that business). Have had nothing but good things to say about this one despite the poor ratings. I talked with one of the staff who said the store is under née ownership. I'd give them a try. For example, I took in a shirt with a stain, but the stain didn't come out. When I took it back and pointed it out, they didn't charge me for cleaning it again (and the stain was gone). I love this place, drop your clothes off and get them the next day, you pre-pay, a pretty cheap price I might add, doesn't get much better than that. I have always had a good experience here, with customer service and every other aspect of the business. I learned that; it's a really good idea to pre-treat spots with some Shout before you drop them off, as I feel they are not the best at getting stains out. But I feel the over all finish on my clothes is a good one. They are worth the chance, so give them one! read more

They do all the cleaning on site. I have never had any problems with their work. The one time that the spot did not come out, I told them and they redid it with no problems. I use them often to wash, starch and iron chef uniforms for students. They always have them white and get out the food that appears everywhere on the uniforms. My wife dropped off 4 coats for cleaning and they are all still as dirty as the day they were dropped off. Looks like all they did was take a lint roller to them ands that's it. My cost has the same exact spots it did before. I understand you pay for what you get but if you all want to be the least expensive in town and keep your customers you also have to be good. I normally don't write bad reviews, but this was an exeption due to the poor service that I received from the staff and owner. My jeans took over 3 weeks for a hem when I was told that it would take about a week. I had to make 3 trip special trips before I finally got my pants back from alterations. I ended up going out of my way to pick up my pants in a different location in the opposite end of town. To add insult to injury. My pants were not pressed and didn't look as though they were cleaned. The owner didn't apologize or offer to make it right. When I explained the situation to the owner, he was very apathetic and made excuses instead of apologizing for the poor service. I wish I would have read the reviews before going there. The South Virginia location is near the Goodwill under a different name. Stay far away from this business, you'll regret it don't! read more

Been a Customer for years. Dropped off 8 short sleeved dress shirts to be cleaned and pressed. Got them back the same day that i was leaving for a 3 day convention where I would need 1 for each day. Everyone one of them and wrinkles pressed in to them around the neck and arms and pockets. Some had wrinkles along the button area. Didn't have time to take them right back but took pictures so I could prove that the 3 I would need to iron myself and wear were also bad along with the others. Took them back a week or so later and showed them to the kid at the counter. He wasn't to happy with my insistence that they re-do all of them but he conceded and said they would. I picked them up a couple of weeks later and went through them before I left and they were just as bad as the first time. I asked that they fix em' or give me a refund if they couldn't do the job. He said that he noticed that some of the shirts had been worn because of the wrinkles around the waste. I explained that 3 of the shirts were needed for my convention and therefore wore them. Then he tried to imply that because it took me couple of weeks to pick them up, that just hanging in their store was responsible for the wrinkles. I showed the kid the pressed in wrinkles from their machine and he still wouldn't budge on making things right. So they have lost me as a customer by fixing the problem that they created as well as a very large network of friends that will not be using there poor service. Sad..... read more

I was using a different dry cleaner in town but when their price for a pair of pants went to seven dollars I went comparison shopping. I have found Save-On Cleaners to be of excellent quality and a reasonable price - less than one-half of my prior cleaner. Their turn around time is super and I would highly recommend them for laundering and dry cleaning of men's shirts and dockers pants. read more

I picked up a shirt several weeks ago, once home removed packages and realized shirt was ripped in four places. Returned shirt and was told owner would call me, never did , when I returned the next week, a young woman told me the owner had said it was impossible for them to have done that and the owner believed I did it myself. So in other words calling me a liar. I left the cleaners and then left a message for owner, never returned my call. Right now you're reading Yelp and trying to figure out where to get your stuff cleaned because the dry clean only tag is staring you in the face. Let's save you some time then: Go here. If you get it down to this office before 10am you can pick it up after 4pm the same day for no extra charge. If you take it to a satellite office anytime before closing you get it next day after 4pm. They're faster and less expensive than anywhere else in town. Earlier I was a bit disgruntled. They had broken some buttons on some of my shirts and I got a rude response from the man working the satellite location I use. The very nice woman who usually works at the time I come in took initiative though and smoothed everything out and fixed things to my satisfaction. Later the owner contacted me and tried to go even further to make things right and to inform me that the rude man has left to pursue other opportunities. I have since been back multiple times and been pleased with their performance and service. Let's be frank: No one makes it through life without making a mistake. They owned up to theirs, made it right and took steps to improve so that it won't happen again. You can't ask for more than that. read more

When I dropped off my items, the girl behind the counter was on the phone ( Using ear buds) When I came back the following week, she was still on the phone. Anyhow, my real beef with this place is the lack of Customer Service. When I first walked in, I expected at least a customary greeting. Had to drag a hello out of the girl. When I picked up my items, I inspected my items, only to notice a food stain on the pants. When I addressed it with the employee, she seemed indifferent to my concerns. My pants were also wrinkled. I asked if this was the usual way items are returned. She asked if I wanted them to be done over. I said no. When I got home, got a little toothbrush to scrub the food out of the pants. This was something they could have done on the spot, and even pressed the pant leg where it was wrinkled. Not worth the savings. Remember folks; You've heard it a million times; "You get what you pay for". Staff needs some courses on How to Treat the Customer- and How to Show Appreciation for the business. Won't go there again, and I recommend that you invest in your wardrobe and not take a chance with this place. My favorite review is the one about "The Staff is Friendly". I have been going to this place for a while now,s however, I DO NOT TRUST them with anything that's really expensive. So, I went over two weeks ago, brought in my White DKNY suit, asked the supervisor if they can do it for me since it was worth a lot of money. He said yes, then what do you know! It was ruined, it is now Bluish White, I CRIED and asked million times to have back to the original WHITE color, up until now they have it and the last time I'm going to trust them to fix it! Please don't dry clean at this place they are horrible. My husband and I had a wedding to attend so we decided to dry clean a nice shirt and slacks (both expensive). To my surprise when I went to pick them up the pants had been totally ruined, they had a lot of smudges and stains all over. Good turnaround time, but NOT a quality dry cleaner. They put creases in the wrong place on several pairs of my pants so that there were two creases down the front and back; it looks sloppy. Also, they bent the zipper on one pair, rendering the pants unwearable. I ignored the bad reviews for this place and I regret it. Wish I had read the reviews first before taking in my dress. It's now a faded color of coral instead of the bright coral it was and looks worse then when I dropped it off. My silk shirts appear to have been laundered not dry cleaned and the pressing was almost non existent. Will be looking for a new provider soon. Going to a cleaners is a matter of trust. You get a claim check and you asume you will get your items back. At least that is how it normally works. We took a decorative quilt and runner to Save-On and guess what - they lost it -of ocurse to a rational person lost is probably an inappropriate term. Now the second assumption, you expect resonible response to a lost item. Save-On has been totally unresponsive and hide in the back and do not return phone calls. I would assume that they think someone would never file police and court reports over an item left at a cleaners. They are wrong! read more

We were customers for over 10 years - the price and quick turnaround kept us coming back. Recently, their clothes started smelling MUSTY. Apparently the machine was broken and it took months to be repaired. It was "allegedly" repaired, but the clothes smelled exactly the same. You can smell the dank scent the minute you walk in the door. I wrote a letter to the owner, who never responded. The employee I talked with said he thought the machine was fixed "good enough" and that he didn't want to talk to me about it. That's not how you run a business and certainly not how you treat a decade-long customer! Terrible service, terrible quality. I really think someone needs to look into the cleanliness and health safety standards of that place. read more

The quality of the clothes returned to me from the cleaners was great, sadly there is one thing that makes me not want to come back to this particular cleaners. I purposely came to this location on Virginia St because I know they have another location. The reason as to why I moved was because of the HORRIBLE customer service at the other location. I decided to go to the one on Virginia St. and to my surprise the same young lady that was at the other location was transferred to the Virginia St. location which then again I received the same treatment. Don't get me wrong, the place has fantastic members, but really, it is not only I that thinks the young lady with the fake blonde hair should get the boot. There is an older lady that is respectful, extremely hard working, and always receives the customers with a warm welcoming smile even though she has broken English. My friends who all went to this save on cleaners (total of 10-15) switched to other cleaners because of this disrespectful, young lady that is making several people not want to go to that cleaners. I have asked to speak to the owners of the Save-on-Cleaners, but have never been directed towards him/her because I have always dealt with that particular young lady. I gave up trying to communicate with the owner and eventually switched to a cleaners that provides excellent customer service and does not have a sarcastic, rude, and an uneducated young lady working at their front desk.
