Wanted to try Bobbique out for a very long time and for my first experience via delivery - they do not disappoint. The girl who took my order over the phone was upbeat and professional. She answered my questions, took down my order and the entire process went by smoothly and quickly. When we arrived to picked up the food, it was packed and they had live music. Love that!!! I ordered the 2 meat combo. It comes with complimentary sweet cornbread and you get to choose two additional sides. It doesnt sound like much but the portions are HUGE and in NY for this amount of food, pricing was reasonable! I went with the pulled chicken, sausage, potato salad and Mac and cheese. Wowzers! The meat was moist and thr bbq sauce on the side was sooooo flavorful. The sausage was smoked and packed a huge punch with taste. Just looking at the food was enough to have my mouth watering. The potato salad was fresh and seasoned to perfection and with no eggs! Yay! :) I ended up getting their bourbon pecan pie. And oh my word! Not including how amazing everything else, I'd go back to bobbique just for the pie alone. Sweet, fresh, crust was perfectly flaky with a touch of crumble to it. This place is yummy. I tried their pulled pork sliders and they were meaty with great flavor, they had a nice hint of sauce but not too much and i really appreciates how it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like other ones I've tried. The sliders also had coleslaw on top but not too much of that either and i promise it's not bad at all, as for someone who's not a big fan of coleslaw, i felt it complimented the sandwich very nicely. Even their side of macaroni and cheese was good but I was so full i couldn't finish it, portions here are decent and food def is filling, the waitress was nice and the service was good. I also appreciated the way the water was, this sounds crazy but sometimes while dining in restaurants the water doesn't taste clean or it has an aftertaste, this water was nice and cold and with plenty of ice. Their Asian style ribs were really great, i recommend anyone to try them, loved the meat and the sauce together, their ribs are delicious. Four of us ate here and we all enjoyed the food. Attentive and pleasant staff and lots of choices. The only negative I would say is that the musician was too loud. We sat as far away as we could and the place was about 1/2 full but we found ourselves shouting at each other at times. read more

This place has great jazz and blues music. You won't hear the same old cover bands that you incur at most local music venues. The service is always good. Occasionally, it feels as if they are trying to rush you for table turnover, which is understandable; but if the music is good, there are evenings you prefer to stay a while. For the most part the food comes in a reasonable amount of time, and other than my last visit, has always arrived hot. The staff is well trained, attentive, and polite. That being said . . . as a rib fanatic, I have been here more than several times. On my first visit, the food was amazing. They also had my favorite beer, Lindemann's Frambois Lambic, which is a rarity at most local bars. The ribs fell right off the bone, and the sauce was tasty, with just enough spice. On a more recent visit, I was disappointed to discover that they no longer served Framboise Lambic. The last several times I ordered ribs, they were nothing like those I had on my first visit. Tough and bland would be the best way to describe them. It appears that in their busier environment, they have decided to skimp on quality to meet the volume. Due to my bad luck with their ribs on several visits, the last time I ate here, I was prompted to chose chicken. It arrived cold. I also had to cut out several fatty sections, as they were inedible. I really hope Bobbique takes a hint and returns to the quality food they served when they first opened. These days, I prefer a chain like Smokey Bones, and will only go to Bobbique for the good music. read more

The most amazing beer selection...I am a beer drinker and NOT Coors Light! I like GOOD beer. Bobbique certainly satisfies that!!!! Please don't be that guy and order a Bud Light...try something NEW!!!As far as the food goes, it is excellent and you will never have better pulled pork....EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally if I go to a restaurant and they have pulled pork it is riddled with fat. You will never find an ounce of fat in theirs. I recommend the wings too....sooooo good!!!! I had the Memphis style pulled pork sandwich...except they forgot my coleslaw. My side was sweet potato fries which were burnt and soggy. This is the best barbecue I've ever had. The meat is cooked to perfection and oh so flavorful. I suggest every meat on the menu, they're all done great. Also, for dessert, the Lincoln Logs desert, which is deep fried french toast sticks, is probably the greatest thing in existence. They're to die for and a must at any visit. read more

My wife and I have gone to Bobbiques many times and each time the food is perfect. The wings are meaty, moist and have wonderful color and smoked flavor. The brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and collard greens are awesome. Bobbiques is not a place for a quiet dinner as there is usually live music. And usually the bands music fits the theme of the restaurant with a blues feel. Lunch and an early dinner are better if you prefer a more quiet experience. The alcohol selection is one of the best I have ever seen in a restaurant to include bourbons, gins, micro brewed beer. Bobbiques is a good restaurant that happens to serve booze rather than many other restaurants in Patchogue village, that the bars that serve food. As with many restaurants the reviews are highly based upon service and the wait staff. Usually the service is good. But as of late the wait staff seems to be spending more time on their phones than being attentive to the customers. Hopefully this can be corrected with a little bit of coaching from the ownership. read more

Wanted to try this place for a long time. Should have stayed away. Ordered the ribs, and I have to say, they were awful, simply awful. Everything I saw coming out was clearly frozen, taken out of a bag and fried. Do yourself a favor. Stop at the supermarket, pick up some prepared ribs, toss them in a microwave and enjoy. I guarantee they will be better than these. As a side note, my girlfriend and I stopped at Queen City cupcakes after, and ordered some great dessert to take home, and I left the takeout bag on the counter and someone took it thinking it was there dessert. They brought it back a minute or so latter, so I took that as an omen, and tossed it in the nearest trash can. At least the service and beer were good ! read more

Solid BBQ that's constantly great. Menu has all the essentials -- ribs, sausage, chicken, pulled pork, brisket. Burgers are great too: The Bobbi Burger is a patty, pulled pork, bacon cheese and onion rings piled on a bun. Insane. They do sell out of meats (especially ribs) sometimes. Good food, good atmosphere. If you don't mind sharing a table with other families and a occasionally a bit of noise, this is definitely the best BBQ restaurant in patchogue. Been there a few times, never had a bad meal. Pulled pork is always a good choice, topped with cole slaw.... enjoyed the beans and Mac and cheese as well. It wasn't bad.... it just wasn't very good either. Boyfriend and I had reservations for New Years Eve. We decided on this place because it was one of the only places in Patchogue that didn't have a limited menu and increased pricing for the evening. First impression was that it was more of a bar than a restaurant. ID's were checked at the door despite the fact that we had no intentions of drinking. The bar crowd was bigger than the seated crowd. Maybe this was just because it was NYE. Judging by the crowd and previous comments it seems like people really like their drinks. I cannot comment on them personally though as I stuck with soda. It seems like this place is more of a bar with mediocre BBQ munchie food than it is a restaurant. Onto the food... Boyfriend and spilt a tray of pulled pork and pulled chicken. Both were ok, nothing to complain about, nothing write home about. Boyfriend poured a bunch of the house BBQ sauce on his pulled pork which ended up being a mistake. The sauce was very acidic, with a strong vinegar base that was almost intolerable. Luckily that was the only "bad" part of the meal. The chicken was on the dry side but not too bad. On the side we had corn on the cob, mac n' cheese, baked beans and cornbread. The corn on the cob was just that... not bbq'd, not seasoned, just plain old boiled corn on the cob. The mac n' cheese tasted like it was probably Velveeta. The beans were good but had a very strong maple flavor that's probably not for everyone. I thought they were good but the boyfriend thought it was too strong. The cornbread was good, tasted like Jiffy mix. All in all nothing was bad, we ate it all. I've been here several times for lunch/dinner and always seem to enjoy the food. I took my dad here recently for a late lunch, to which he's never been. We were seated right away but took about 7-8 minutes for our waitress to come over and ask for drinks. I asked about the cider ales to which she suggest a black cherry cider, and I'm happy she did! I'll definitely over that again. We both got combo platters; I got the CHOPPED brisket and ribs with Mac & cheese and the potato salad. I put in all caps the "chopped" brisket because they clearly state it on their menu, and all though the flavor is totally there (maybe a little less sauce though), my dad and I prefer or brisket sliced. Plus, I think it looks better presentation-wise. The ribs were tender and super juicy. Potato salad was creamy and good, I'd order that again. Mac and cheese was nothing to die over; next time I'll order the collard greens, they're so good! They both came with a side of corn bread which we both enjoyed. My dad asked if they had Blue Moon on tap, to which they don't, and she suggested Leinenkugel's Sun Wheat, and woah! Was that beer sweet and super citrusy and NOT in a good way. All in all, we had a nice late lunch with some good food and we'd go back again. read more

Where do I even begin. It was my first time eating here and my LAST. First off very overpriced for the portion you are receiving. I got an order of the smoked sausage which was just grilled keilbasa and an order of BBQ Skewered Shrimp both with sides of collard greens and Mac and cheese and cornbread . Those two orders came out to nearly $40! We received our orders and was immediately disappointed. The sides were in small 4oz cups not nearly enough portion to be worth $40. The collard greens tasted HORRIBLE way too much vinegar it was awful. The Mac and cheese had ZERO flavor I threw out both sides from both orders. The shrimp and the cornbread managed to be really good but you were only given the portion size of it for a toddler. The "smoked sausage" tasted ok and was the only item out of the orders that was proportioned like it was for an adult. I will NOT be visiting this overpriced, overrated, low proportion rip off of a restaurant. Take my advice and go to Winnies in Amityville for REAL barbecue. read more

Wow! Great find! A birthday celebration at Bobbique turned out just fine. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich combo platters with ribs, chicken and brisket. Onion rings. Mac & cheese and a few other sides were delicious. Also, not overly sweet or salty. Just right. They have a pretty extensive beer menu and we chose Flying Dog Frigging Bitch and Blue Point Toasted Lager. Flying Dog was a little "hoppy", but good. Blue Point was paler and just fine. Has been our go to BBQ place for a couple of years. Hoping last night (a Wednesday), was an off night because the ribs were 1 degree shy of shoe leather. Shouldn't have been served. Still fell off the bone, but had to gnaw at the meat and chew forever. My husband had 1/2 rack and half of that was black. Luckily I ordered 2 meat combo because the jumbo wings were very good as friends recommended. Sides always good. The Stella was out so waitress recommended a "similar" blonde beer that had to be sent back. He said it had no beer taste, more like water. That though is a matter of taste preference. read more

My friend and I decided to go to Bobbiques on a Friday night since we had been patrons there before and always had a nice time. This sadly was not the case this previous Friday. Apparently you can no longer seat yourself there (I have been going to this place for years and have NEVER seen a hostess or a "please wait to be seated" sign.) My friend and I sat ourselves, as normal, and a girl named Sarah came to our table and was to start off extremely rude. Sarah asked us if we were ordering food when we sat down and then followed by because you must order food to sit here. Before we could respond, she went on to tell us that we should not have sat ourselves and there were people waiting. (I'm sorry, I am being reprimanded because YOU were not in front of the dining room like you should have been since you are the hostess?) She also told me I was wrong for sitting down at a table on my own, and made me feel unwelcome. I have been in this business for over 10 years an have never been spoken to in this way. It was atrocious. Our server apologized for her actions, but it I just unacceptable. I am Johnson & Wales Alum as well as the owner of this joint. I asked to meet Eric, the owner, and speak with him but told he was busy. About 45 min later I saw him on the floor and he did not even come over to greet me. I have been in this industry for several years and would never speak to someone like this. Let alone would I nor anyone else want to be spoken to in that matter. I was really disappointed about Bobbiques. However, our waitress Lauren was pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a keeper, unlike this wannabe hostess Sarah. I typically would write something else that was good about my experience at this point of my entry, but my experience was so terrible there I will NOT be back. There are plenty of other great places on LI where the staff is pleasant and the food and beer selection is just as good and/or even better. Sorry Eric, you should know better. read more
