Always searching for that refreshing sip I thought to give this place a try, as I scan their menu they seem to have a lot of smoothies and when a place shows no fresh fruits I assume it's all syrup based flavors. Here everything done hidden in the back and my choices were quite limited to either Black or Jasmine Tea with either blueberry, kiwi, lilikoi, lychee, mango, peach, pineapple or strawberry so I decided on peach as thought it wouldn't be as sweet which then she asked if I wanted any toppings...tapioca, poppers or the standard jellies...bleh! Nothing spectacular so I opted out of toppings which she was "are you sure!?"...so I asked...do you have coconut jelly? No...I'm sorry I don't like the ones you have. Peach tea plain but they did have sweetness level which was light for me and it was still too sweet...I realize that I roll in a different way and knew this was a bad idea and didn't finish my drink. I use to love buying the yogurt and acai bowls here. I would stop by several times a month to indulge in pure heaven. Recently the shop has new owners and it shows. First off, the friendly greeter is no longer there. It seems all of the employees were replaced or quit. The acai bowl has been one of my favorites on island but now it is disgusting. The fruit was frozen, the acai was so runny I could have drank it. I returned to the shop with it, voicing my concern. They did not offer a replacement, no refund, nothing. Came here two weekends in a row. Last weekend I asked for two ounces of the taro flavor for my 2 year old, the older gentleman gave me four. Didn't say anything and just paid for it. I ask for 2 oz again. She says, "thats not enough". I explain it's for my two year old and he doesn't need much. And on the menu it says something like 99cents an ounce. I just wanted 2. She walks away and comes back with my order and it's obviously filled way more than 2 ounces. I say I only wanted 2oz. She said (with attitude) it's minimum 5 ounces and tried to charge me for it. I told her I can't find on the menu where it says that and she didn't bother to show me. Maybe it says it on the menu idk but I didn't bother to stick around to look after cause I was pissed. Last week I got 4 oz so obviously it didn't make sense to me. I told her I didn't ask for that. She just stares at me with a sour face so I tell her nvm... and walk away with my son. Normally I would let things like this slide and just pay the extra but this was 2 weeks in a row and she had such a bad attitude. She at minimum could have just informed me BEFORE she made the order. Menu is bright, colorful and really easy to understand. They have standard flavors and being that I'm basic it was easy for me to order my usual. Avocado Smoothie with Boba and Lychee Jelly. YUM. Gf went with a Caramel Smoothie with Coffee Jelly and Tapioca. To our surprise the Boba was very flavorful and yummy ! My avacado smoothie was thick and luscious, and the caramel smoothie was just right and not too sweet. Prices are fair and my experience here so far has been positive. Looks like the shop is sold to a new owner, I used to ask for around $6 of frozen yogurt but this time I was told that they can't do it for two flavors instead it will be $8. I like black thai tea with boba and I always get the same drink. I usually get it from another place in mililani but have been going through here more often since the holidays and I stop by sometimes. I'm not really impressed, it's not a bad shop and the tea doesn't taste bad either. Its just inconsistent. As I said with me always getting the same drink, this place always seem to make it different each and every time. Its either one of these three things.. sometimes it's too sweet, other times you can hardly tell they added the right amount of sweetness and usually in combination with those two is there isn't enough boba. This place could be really good if they figure this out and I would be happy to keep coming by. Time will tell and when it does I will gladly change the rating. Was not expecting such strong tea. Got the mango black tea with tapioca and loved that I could really taste the black tea. Tapioca was chewy and a bit tough just how I like it. Unfortunately although I loved my drink my friends did not enjoy their oolong(75% sweet) and jasmine(100% sweet) milk teas as it tasted more watery. I buy one thing and one thing only here and it's their cappuccino smoothie with lychee jelly. I'm human and this is one of my habits. I like it. To me, it's not too sweet and and not too overwhelming bitter. I ordered the same for my mom but with boba and she thoroughly enjoyed it. So there you have it for that one item on their menu I phone ordered and it was ready within 5-10 minutes. The older woman (I think she runs the shop) was very polite on the phone and when I went to pick it up. I'm in and out and on with my day. If you're fond with flavored drinks, some are made with powder. Mine was but I didn't mind it. This tiny shop is located next to the now closed Aeropostale. I was happy to see a froyo shop pop up at the mall, but every time I go there I change my mind and get something else. I'm kind of addicted to their watermelon smoothie. At first , I thought they were gonna add some yogurt since smoothies usually do have some added, but it's just watermelon and ice blended together. I love watermelon. The 16 oz is $4.50 and the 22 oz is $5.25 without any add one. The owner who works here seems like a quiet guy, but my orders have always come out correct and I am quite content with that. The prices here are cheaper than the downtown (movie side) boba shop and the watermelon tastes much much fresher and sweeter. I'm hoping they will still have watermelon year round. While walking around in Pearlridge uptown side, I started to feel hungry like I was still craving some sweet to please my stomach. I just remembered that they have a Robeks in the bottom floor. As I looked them up on my Yelp app, I come to find out that they closed down. The question that was going through my mind is where can I find acai bowls in the mall?!?!?! Boba-licious cafe offered some acai bowls. Why not give them a try. The owner was nice and explained the difference between the acai bowl and pitaya bowl. I like berry taste more than tart taste. He also asked if the granola and honey was ok to put in the bowl. Some people are allergic to nuts and honey. Good that he asked before the worker started my order. Acai bowl is $7.99 and the pitaya bowl is $7.75 The bowl is super big for one person, but because I was so hungry I ate it all. The bowl contained acai smoothie mixture, bananas, strawberries, melon, peaches, coconut stripes, granola, and honey drizzled over it with a cherry on top. Overall: I would say the acai bowl was alright, nothing outstanding. My critique was how they used low quality granola in the acai bowl. It tasted slightly stale and had no crunch. It was flat oats. The acai melted quicker than I thought it would. I was quite disappointed after I finished. I had higher expectations after seeing the reviews. They focus more on quantity rather than quality of the ingredients. They need to reassess their products before using them in their drinks, shave ice, and bowls. Of course, I was probably one of their first guinea pigs to taste their acai bowls. Most the Yelpers didn't mention about the acai bowls in their reviews. The boba and smoothies were talked about the most. Would I return to this place after trying this place? Probability of that happening is low. I would prefer if the worker who served me the acai bowl wear gloves regardless if she washed her hands. Hand sanitation should always be considered in every food establishment. read more

Boba-licious was another boba adventure of mine. It is located uptown Pearlridge across from Payless. My order was taken right away and greeted by a nice lady. I tried their Jasmine milk tea with mini boba. Their mini boba is rather medium sized boba because it's bigger than mini but smaller than regular. Jasmine milk tea had a good flavor to it and refreshing. Boba was on the harder side and I could see why. I did come towards the end of the mall hour. I love that they have Bubbies mochi ice cream here! They only offer 6 flavors though: espresso/choc, chocolate, strawberry, mango, lychee, & green tea. It's usually pretty fresh, although I did get a stale batch once. I wasn't too happy about that. I had to throw out the mochi but I still ate the ice cream inside. $1.25 for one or $5.49 for 5. Decent prices overall. They also offer frozen yogurt (which I've yet to try) with several toppings, boba tea, and Korean shave ice (NOT Hawaiian style!). I ordered the azuki shave ice thinking it was like the Hawaiian style. Ugh, unfortunately that was not the case. Azuki shave ice is literally just that: shave ice, azuki beans, and condensed milk. I didn't like it at all but I was expecting something sweet and flavorful like Hawaiian shave ice. The Korean shave ice looked better though with more toppings. I also tried the boba tea with coffee jelly. The boba was bland and the coffee jelly was hard and flavorless as well. It's not like the soft sweet flavorful coffee jelly that is offered at Tea Time or Coffee & Tea. The girls that usually work the stand are friendly and nice. Overall, I would give them 1.5 stars but the fact they have Bubbies (so I can get my mochi ice cream fix) and at a reasonable price, which saves me a trip into Hawaii Kai or town, bumps them up to 2 stars! (I can understand why they wouldn't want to leave cups out in the mall, since I'm sure mall-goers would help themselves to endless free samples and jam up the lines.) The employee brought some small cups from behind the register and asked which flavors I would like to try. He poured small samples of vanilla and green tea for me to try. I wasn't very impressed with the vanilla, but oh my matcha, that green tea was delicious! I got a cup of green tea for myself and added toppings. They had lots of fresh fruits, chocolates, and other treats. All the options were presented neatly. He weighed and rung up the order. The price was pretty much on par with what you would find at other froyo places in the area. I also noticed that they carry Bubbies mochi ice cream, another one of my favorites! This place has such a great location in the mall that it can't be missed. It's on the ground level uptown Pearlridge across from Payless. I've tried the froyo (which you can never go wrong) and several different smoothies from here. I didn't care for the strawberry banana (sour) or the taro (bland) but I did like the avocado and loved the cappuccino smoothie. You can add all types of toppings for a small additional charge. Some of my favorites are the flavored jellies and the small and large boba. The price is comparable to most other smoothie/milk tea shops $5-6. They have 2 sizes to choose from 16 and 22. They also have a rewards program to keep track of points that can be used towards a free drink. I haven't tried the milk tea here yet so that is next on my to taste list. If it was powder I probably wouldn't have gotten drinks here. Anything fresh makes any smoothie better and just slightly healthier in a way. I ordered the strawberry banana combo for myself, mango for my fiancé and honey dew (only flavor that's not real fruit) for my mom. We all both enjoyed our drinks. It's refreshing and had enough sweetness to it. Their boba prices are at the average costs of the competitors out there in the mall setting locations. $4.50 for the 16oz and $5.25 for the 22oz plus $.50 more if you want boba. I wouldn't mind coming back here to try the other variety dessert items they have here. Since this place opened up, I've been wanting to try it. I think I came here on 01.20.17, after I ate at gomatei. There was a short line and when it was my turn to order, I didn't know what kinda milk tea to get so I asked the man at the register what he recommended. He said besides the regular milk tea and Thai tea, he recommended about 4 other flavored ones. If I remember correctly they were: strawberry, honeydew, matcha, and taro. I thought about it for a moment, but decided to get the Thai tea 75% sweetness and no boba. I didn't wait long until my drink was ready. The Thai tea was good, but it was still really sweet. I don't think it's good for someone to stand at the register while those in their party are making their yogurt, trying to decide which topping to put on. My sister ordered the black milk tea with boba and loved it, she said it was better than tea time, hurray since parking sucks over there. I ordered the lychee jasmine infused tea and boy was it way way too bitter. It was as if you left your black tea bag in the teapot with only 1/3 cup of water for over a week, just super super bitter.
