I have been coming to Boba Indeed since opening. In the beginning, the food, beverages, and customer service was wonderful. I would confidently say that it was one of my favorite locations to purchase and enjoy beverages with boba. However, my recent visits have been below satisfactory. The food and beverages are okay, mind you, not as great as they were before. The customer service is one of the worst I have experience. Specifically a young lady that works on the weekend is rude, inpatient, and unnecessarily temperamental. I'm summary, if you can get past employees that are rude for absolutely no reason, maybe it's a place to try. read more

Definitely gave me my fix! Usually I go for the fruity stuff but I tried one of their top 7 and that was the Taro boba tea. It was smooth, sweet enough and taste creamy. Overall delicious. You also get a punch card and on the other side you get stamped on your every visit. read more

Boba indeed is located in a small shopping center off of Paramount Blvd. It is nice and clean on the inside and the employees are nice and patient (if you don't know what you want to order). They also have a patio area in case you want to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. To make it easier, they have these gigantic card menus that you can look at while you're in line or deciding what to order. I've had the taro slush and the thai thea and both items are great tasting. The boba also has a good taste and texture. Some places sell old or hard boba, not here. Another great thing about Boba Indeed, is that they have a rewards program. They will give you a card and with every drink purchase, they will stamp your card and when it's full, you will get a free drink. Can't say no to that. Only thing about that card is that it actually expires in 6 months from initiating it, so make sure to drink up and redeem your reward ;) read more

This is my regular Wednesday Boba drinks. It's so flavorful and good value for money. Clean facility and offer good service, tho last time I ordered online was too late 15 minutes after I placed it. Came here for the first time because my 12 year old is crazy about boba drinks - upon arrival there's was a girl handing out some drinks which looked very good and I asked her what flavor that was, she pointed at the menu and said it's right there on the menu (menu has over 20 different pictures of drinks) - really you couldnt just have the courtesy to tell me what flavor it is? This time I went with my friend, and she got the match milk tea in slushie form and added milk to it. Love the offbeat decor and not in the elements kind of atmosphere this place set up to be. Tricky part about coming here is the tight entrance/exit of the strip mall this place is located at. One way in and one way out from the side the little tea joint is placed at. Once you navigate through that is next to a Mickey D's, you'll have to make a good turn into a tight parking space. Not their fault, but giving you a heads up on that. Anyways, this cute little tea shoppe modeled after cafes with decco design. It has a minimal kinda feel that sets up to be a cool hang out spot... even if it is located in an area that is not known as such. The place looks to be a former fast food burger joint/taqueria that kept the exterior look and metal prison look of an outdoor patio. The interior looks nothing like the exterior (trust me, it's a good thing). This place is known for their sweet fruit juice drink with tapioca pearls (boba). They have milk tea and smoothie, but I think most people are more gravitate towards their juice drinks. They have desserts and snack food (think popcorn chicken and waffle toasts) to accompany the drinks you may have ordered. My feeling is that the clientele here may give them a fits as they are requesting people not to change their order after it gets ring up on the register. Not quite sure if was people not expecting tea to taste more bitter than sweet or the constant buyer's remorse on what they ordered. FYI, tea are tea..which is not supposed to be sweet unless sugar is added. My recommendation on ordering when coming here is to try their many milk frappe selections or their slush. I would recommend the tea drinks as well..... but I can tell most people who lived around here are into the more sugar high drinks of the juice. Add the jalapeno poppers to those sweet juice drinks. I was craving rose, boba milk tea like a crazy person one weekend and drove all the way from santa fe springs to get it. The restaurant was located in a small and busy plaza. I had to park way far away and walk all the way back. When I arrived, the cashier notified me they no longer have the rose milk tea and did not think they would be getting it back in stock :( so sad. Lavendar milk tea with boba: Even though this place is called boba indeed, there is not enough boba placed into each drink. The lavendar flavor was very faint and barely could taste it. I did like the fact that the milk tea was not overly sweet like most other boba places. Regular milk tea/thai tea : same compliments and complaints as above. Oreo milk shake: My husband really enjoyed this and it tasted like it was made of real milk. Nicely blended and easy to drink. Even though there were some good traits to the place, it still was not enough for me to rate it a solid 4 because of the boba situation. They also have other desserts that look like waffles and fruit with ice cream and concoctions, but the sign says it could take about 20 minutes to make. I really wanted to try one out, but I didn't want to wait. So that's just a tip, in case you saw some amazing pics on Yelp. They also do delivery with those delivery apps, because while I was there a driver came in to pick up a large order. Atmosphere is nice. What? A Boba place in Downey? I tried out their Coconut Frappe just to see how they make their stuff. The fruits tasted fresh, the bursting boba were exploding in my mouth, there was enough sweetness in the drink to satisfy my palate, and the price point was very reasonable. Their popcorn chicken had a very nice kick to it. I like my food spicy, and it did not disappoint. This place has genuine Boba drinks. It was nice to grab a drink, munch on their Popcorn chicken, and get the general feeling that you are in Cerritos or somewhere in the OC and not in Downey, CA! Went to get a boba 5/26/2021. Sign still reads no taro...it's been a month....I asked again why they don't get it? They said it's a supply issue. I said I don't want to go elsewhere...the girl just shrugged... I ordered a large milk tea with brown sugar for my daughter. I usually get a taro. So she asked what I want, I ordered a coconut blended with boba....I got them from outside door and left. When I arrived at destination it wasn't a coconut ...it was coffee/chocolate. Kak! The drinks are amazing, but don't mess up your order on any of the ordering apps. The location just won't pick up their phone. I instantly noticed that I had ordered the wrong drinks, and attempted to call. They have a voicemail set up and sound so nonchalant about completely ignoring any incoming calls. The voicemail basically directs you to place a mobile order and stop calling them. At no point was the line busy, it just simply kept going to voicemail after ringing 3 or 4 times. It seems like they could care less about their phones ringing due to orders coming in online or through the delivery apps, even if they are the wrong orders they are preparing. After 6 tries of trying to simply change the drinks on my mobile order, I was forced to reach out and have the delivery company cancel the order. So much for my before work drink. read more

We ordered the original milk tea, and the Thai duo which is Thai milk tea with Thai coffee. Prices were about average for a boba place, the sizes are small, large and xl. We got our order pretty quick, the original milk tea was ok nothing special there, but the Thai duo was really good. The flavors of coffee with Thai tea blended perfectly together.
