I ordered the Thai tea smoothie boba (blended) it was immaculate ! The boba was soft and perfectly sweetened. I stopped coming here because of the overall quality of the boba drink is not the same. Tastes very water down. I tried it again because my niece wanted Boba. The older cashier said there is only one size when I asked for a regular drink. I said ok. He failed to mention he charged me for large drinks which also came with very little boba. My niece let me know he has been out of regular cups since last week.. I do not recommended this place. If you come here expect a long wait to be charged, upcharged for no reason, bad quality and bad service. The look on the Hispanic cashiers face looks like he hates his job. This was not my first time coming here, but it's been a long time. I liked the flavor of the drink, but the boba was really small and very hard with no taste whatsoever. What makes me very uncomfortable was that 4 Asian ladies were staring at me like they were looking at a strange animal they've never seen before, while I was waiting for my drink. My boyfriend and I got a hotel around here and I was craving for boba and luckily this place was nearby. Customer service was nice and we were greeted and helped with but ngl, the drinks weren't what we expected or tbh, I wasn't expecting much but was willing to try. Whenever I go to new places I always get a fruit drink because fruit drinks are a lot safer than milk base drinks. I ordered a large mango black tea with lychee jelly & rainbow jelly + boba and my bf ordered a strawberry matcha with boba. I didn't get the correct toppings with my drinks but it still tasted good and my bf and I didn't really enjoy the strawberry matcha, couldn't really pin point what was off but it just wasn't it. We paid roughly $15 for both drinks + tip. There were only 2 ppl working that night, and the line was accumulating after us, but they got orders out at a decent time but felt bad. they did have a sign up stating they were sorry if the drinks aren't the same and it was due to covid and shipments and that's understandable but unfortunate because maybe what they needed was what would've made their drinks great you know? Aside from that, there are no dine in chairs were up and boxes were around the store with products they use for the drinks but there are outdoor seatings! Boba had no taste but tbh , I like boba just for the chew but if boba did have a hint of sweetness to it, it could've bought the drink to maybe a better state. I don't recommend this place. It hurts to even type this but I've been coming here since 2007 and it fell off. 1. They don't have free internet anymore. Back in the day they had a fully furnished desktop area between the restrooms and couches. It's no longer there. 2. The drinks are overpriced and don't taste well. The last time I was here I ordered a Thai iced tea, it tasted like water. There's so many other places near this location with better prices. 3. Finally the customer service. Idk what the Hispanic male employee has endured but as far as I'm concerned he's always had a shit face with no desire to be there nor interact with the customers. I get it... we all have bad days. But this is a high schooler hangout hence the unpleasant restrooms with tagging up to the ceiling (although some of graffiti is pretty funny- "Diabitis Boy"). first time going here. there was one person in line i was there at about 12:15pm and got my taro pretty fast. it was $5 which is the standard price everywhere I go now. the cashier was a woman and she made it well. taro tasted good! i went to another donut place in downtown that didn't make it well because the boba things were like a bad texture so i needed a new spot and here it was good, so they're on my radar for boba now :) i always and only get taro so im not sure about other flavors and if anyone else like me was wondering, they do not have macarons at this location. read more

But what do you expect when you have Asian-based drink spot in a city that does really well on their Mexican food? That's like going to Rowland Heights (a city that does really well on their Asian food) and saying that their bionicos place is amazing. I'm just being honest. Customer service was not great. My husband told them the boba was off and they just told him "oh. That's all we have." Really? You couldn't make an effort to apologize, make a new drink, or even a refund? So lazy. In my neck of the woods, which happens to be around this area, it is often quite rare to find a place that sells boba milk tea. Enter however, Boba Loca. Boba Loca is located in a shopping center on the corner of Atlantic and Gage Ave. During the summer is when I frequent this location more so often. They have an array of different flavors here, my personal favorite being the honeydew milk tea boba. I am not one to ask for light boba! The more, the better. The guy that works here is usually very attentive with his clients. It is small inside with a few couches and tables. Probably 10 people the most can fill the place up inside to capacity. Overall, I am a fan and do return every now and then to satisfy my boba craving. I have never had a complaint. They do however have a computer that is free to use for all customers. Just don't expect it to ever be empty because the local kids come in and waste their time checking up on their facebook or what not! read more

I went back to change them for another flavor politely the young girl told the Hispanic guy he said to give me my money back I said I don't want my money back I'd just change the flavor He then proceeded to tell the girl to tell me that, that would be the last time they change a drink for me.
