came here looking for a Stranger Things balloon, and while they had it, the experience was frustrating. Initially, an employee told me they didn't have it. I insisted another employee from a different location had checked and confirmed it was in stock. Only then did the employee find it. This store has such a vast inventory that it seems some employees are unaware of what's available. Customer service is subpar. The employees were focused on their tasks and chatting among themselves, which made it difficult to get help. To top it off, there was no one attending the registers, and I had to wait for someone to ring me up. This speaks to bad management and poor organization. The store has what you need, but you may have to ask multiple people or be persistent to get help. Overall, just okay--but definitely room for improvement. read more

Only giving 2 stars because of the large inventory. However I would not come back. I came in for birthday balloons, 6 mylar ballons with helium I paid over $35. It wasn't even end of day and the large number balloons were already deflated. The balloons were supposed to be for the next day but they didn't make it and keep in mind they were mylar. Super disappointed, I have gotten balloon bouquets at Party City and never had this issue. I don't know if the balloons were not filled up all the way but even the smaller balloons deflated 1 day after. read more

American Celebrations is a relatively large warehouse on Pacific Blvd. PARKING - street parking - the side lot is a bit tight, but you'll be fine - it's usually just a handful of people shopping here at a time SERVICE - helpful, friendly, & quick - baby strollers aren't allowed in the store, but... - small shopping carts are available - cash or plastic is accepted PARTY GOODS - good especially for little girls & boys - themes/characters even I am not familiar with... yet - not so great for "over the hill" and beyond birthdays, but you can get creative... - tasteful party goods for, say, if you're throwing a work birthday party for an old rich fart - quite a few items in stock that might be seasonal elsewhere - some baby shower items available - special occasions items for New Years, St. Patty's day, Halloween, Valentine's day, etc. are put on display in ample time for said upcoming events - gift bags in various sizes - helium balloons in just about any color - Mylar balloons - at a low extra charge they will fill them for you - piñatas & some candy - party favors - cake supplies & probably much more... - most everything is affordable For New Years Eve 2015, my husband and I stayed home with our two toddlers. We made it extra fun with 2016 light-up glasses, beaded necklaces, & glitter party hats - all $1.25 each. The area is mostly safe at least in the daytime.
