I visited Boba Baba for a Yelp Event, when I walked in, I noticed the open space and relaxing environment. There are table seats near the window and a couch in a corner if you prefer the cozy setting. The staff was very friendly and explained all the options. While there I had a mochi donut and a matcha drink. I enjoyed both and left with a box of donuts so that I could try all the varieties.
We continue to enjoy the delicious boba teas and mochi donuts at Boba Baba. At our most recent visit, we were impressed at how quickly our order was made. It was ready before we finished paying! I appreciate how customizable the drinks are regarding sweetness, milk type, and ice level. Plus the employee at the counter prompts you to ensure the drink is made how you want it (rather than assuming a certain level of sweetness). We prefer the horchata, ube, and classic milk tea. The ube is a little gritty, possibly from the ube purée used. The donuts and cream puffs are irresistible sitting in the display case. They are cooked perfectly and flavored well. We recommend this boba shop to others!
Boba Baba is one of my favorite boba places in Triangle. There are many boba places in the area, but I think their Strawberry Matcha is the best one around here tbh. Their pastries are also quite delish, and they release new pastry flavors every Saturdays in their Instagram. (+ it was my first date spot with my husband, so it will forever hold a special space in my heart!) Boba Baba is celebrating a Matcha week, so I had to come to try their limited matcha options. I got Yuzu Matcha, and it had the perfect yuzu flavor that went superbly well with matcha. Wish it was one of the permanent drink options. The staff at Boba Baba is always friendly, and I've never had any issues with anyone. I might be back before the Matcha week is over to try the other limited matcha options!
Always get great drinks here ! My favourite is the strawberry matcha latte, hit sugar goals for the week but so worth it their mochi donuts are really good too .. my favourite is their Oreo matcha, today I got the chocolate and a passion fruit donut (yet to try). The straw they gave was a little weak and tore when I was trying to mix my latte, since the strawberry puree sits at the bottom and the matcha is right on top. Next visit I'm going to try their cream puffs
Ambiance: cute, bright, clean, and semi quiet place to be at! I'd be a perfect place for chilling with friends or maybe some light work/studying to do as well! Service: was great! They really know their teas and even recommended a yummy one! It was quick service too! Only had to wait maybe 5 mins! Food: we got the sprinkle mochi donut! It had the perfect ratio of crispy and chewy! Honestly the best feel of a true mochi donut! The taste was like a glazed donut so can't go wrong there! Overall I would come here again!
A well-reviewed bubble tea place. I ordered something called a cherry blossom but found its flavor quite inscrutable; a mix of fruits I couldn't altogether identify. I got it with some tea-flavored grass jelly and I do appreciate the intrigue of the weird jelly-like substances that are offered at these places. Sampling a single mochi donut was a bit pricey, but it delivered a nice ube flavor. I wonder if I might have been happier ordering different things, but there were certainly plenty of interesting options.
My friend introduced me to this place, and I loved it! The drinks were delicious and not overly sweet. There aren't many bubble tea spots in the NC area from what I was told. So, I'm glad we found this one to try. The cream puffs were perfect. We paired them with the drinks. It was a good balance. The service was excellent. The boba spot was spacious, which made it a great place to hang out or study. I would love to visit again whenever I'm in town!
It's rare for a milk tea cafe to astonish me with something beyond what you can typically get from a Quickly or Kung Fu Tea, but Boba Baba was able to do that with its expertly-blended milk teas and coffee drinks, Chick Fil-A-esque customer service, and its inviting ambiance. It had been about 3 years since we last visited Boba Baba. We frequent this area by High House Rd. in Cary because of the H-Mart and always see this cafe every time we pass by but since our last visit, we never really bothered to give it another try probably because I just saw Boba Baba as another generic milk tea cafe when I tried it for the first time. I remember ordering a Strawberry Matcha Latte back then, and although I enjoyed its taste, I saw it as something I can easily find from other milk tea cafes. My teen brother Jonah has been to Boba Baba more than me and tried more kinds of milk tea here, and he once told me when we were in Brecotea (previously reviewed) that Boba Baba's brown sugar milk tea is the ultimate measure to compare other cafes' brown sugar milk tea. I wasn't really into brown sugar milk tea when he told me that, so I thought he didn't know better. It turned out, Jonah was 100% right. I just tried the Baba's Brown Sugar Boba in our visit last Saturday night. My girl got the Coffee Milk Tea. The ambiance of the cafe made us want to stay. Unlike the dreadful ambiance of Tiger Sugar in Cary (also previously reviewed) just right across this cafe, Boba Baba's open space looks more welcoming. The minimalistic aesthetic of the well-lit and clean cafe shows that Boba Baba truly cares about customer experience. However, there's one thing that annoyed me: Boba Baba's overhead menu, which also looked "minimalistic" but in an unpleasant way: The blue screens showing a list of items looked dull, with no photos of drinks - it resembled an airport's arrival/departure panel instead of what you'd expect from a classy cafe. Also, the boba cups they use are nowhere close to the high-quality cups of Milklab & Feng Cha. The barrista who took our order was Nico; he was a friendly young man who took our orders well, and explained Boba Baba's "Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy, which gives its customers the option to get a replacement drink if they were not satisfied with the first one. That's the first time I heard from a milk tea cafe, and I appreciate how Boba Baba truly cares about what the customers want. Baba's Brown Sugar is currently my #1 most recommended milk tea in the Triangle, NC, and trust me, I've tried a good amount in recent years. I recommend getting the large size, light ice, 75% sugar. The salted creme brûlée truly sets the standard for premium brown sugar milk teas. This is the 2nd time I tried creme brûlée in a brown sugar milk tea; The first time was in Feng Cha in Morrisville (Wrote a review on that too!), and although I enjoyed Feng Cha's blend, Boba Baba was surprisingly more satisfying to me probably because I could taste more of its creme brûlée whereas Feng Cha's seemed to have less of it. The perfect texture of the tapioca pearls also made the the milk tea a blast to devour. It went well with the well-balanced mix of salted creme brûlée, brown sugar, and milk tea. I could taste the sweet brown sugar flavor and the creamy creme brûlée, but it wasn't too sweet. It might be too sweet if sweetness level is set to 100%. While I was sipping the best brown sugar boba I've ever tried, my girl didn't look satisfied with her Coffee Milk Tea, and she told me she like Sharedtea's iced coffee more. I reminded her that she could get another drink as per their policy or I could but her a different drink, but she refused as we didn't want to bother the baristas who were already busy preparing to close. Instead, when were in the car, she took the little amount of creme brulee left in my depleted cup, and put it in her coffee cup, which was still 75% full. She said it tasted better after mixing that. Boba Baba may not have astonished me in my first visit 3 years ago, but the 2nd time is a charm, probably because this time, I chose what is likely the cafe's best milk tea. We haven't tried the cream puffs & mochi donuts yet, so we might try those next time we go, which will definitely be sooner than 3 years. Super cute and trendy! Always a long line but worth the wait. The mochi donuts are delicious and the best in the area. My favorite flavors are the strawberry and matcha donuts - so chewy and soft! The are a lot of variety of boba drinks and the most popular one if the strawberry match latte which is a different but sweeter twist to your typical matcha drink - delicious but very sweet. The aesthetic of the cafe is super cute and spacious but it's usually always crowded. Must try read more
You just try the muscat oolong boba drink!! I first tried this drink at Boba Guys and fell in love. Overall, this place could definitely use more tables to fill up the space as it gets busy. Very clean interior and stylish decor. The times we have gone for their cream puffs, they were already sold out by early afternoon. I finally got to try them - black sesame and milk tea. Definitely pricey and I rather buy some other baked good from H-mart which is right around the corner. The cream overpowers the bread as it runs out. Black sesame is definitely a strong taste and milk tea was very subtle. Worth the try but I am content with just getting their drinks. read more
How have I never known about this place?? On a recent trip to HMart, I had a craving for Bubble Tea. Most all other bubble tea shops were at least a 15 min drive away. Boba Baba however just happened to be right around the corner. Score! It's in the same shopping center as Publix so what better than fried chicken and some boba! Having been to probably over 30 bubble tea shops, I was throughly impressed with Boba Baba. It was clean, the menu had some very interesting spins on boba and it was all done in a quick manner. The lady behind the counter was also very well informed and knew everything about each drink which was very helpful. When I asked for zero sugar, she was able to tell me what fruit gave off the most sweetness and was able to give me recommendations so that my drink didn't turn out a disaster. The only frustrating part was the see-through screen that separated us while trying to communicate. That screen made it hard for each other to hear what the other was saying and we ended up having to shout and repeat several times. In all, it was very enjoyable experience and would go back again and again for that chewy refreshing drink! Oh and the donuts were great too, snag a few flavors! read more
Pretty good bubble tea spot in the same shopping center as Publix. Can't believe I only found out about this place today - been right under my nose the whole time. There were quite a number of people already there when I entered so you could tell this was a popular joint. The prices were in line with other bubble tea tea joints in the triangle - probably a tad cheaper out of all of them. I got their large Jasmine milk tea for 5 bucks. You can pick the sweetness level in quarter increments. Their default is 100%. Being afraid that the default might be too sweet I decided to try 75% sweetness. It was just right for me. The tea was pretty good and I could taste the strong Jasmine flavor. They also have alternative milk choices should you choose: regular milk, oat milk, or almond milk. They sell mochi donuts and cream puffs but they seemed to be sold out at the time I was there. I saw many people get the butterfly frescas / mango butterfly frescas. That'll probably be the target of my next visit as those seem to be unique to this place. Overall, pretty good experience on my first visit here. Will definitely be back to try other flavors and their dobuts / cream puffs depending on their availability. read more

I rarely comment on boba place, what can go wrong with dessert drinks :). But I need to give this place KUDOS for exceptional customer services on top of the delicious drinks. We ordered a Horchata (quite authentic for an asian place making a traditional mexican drink) and a Hot Lavender Earl Grey. Associate voluntarily offered to make me another drink (as I was placing my lavender drink order) since the the lavender aroma may not sit well with everyone, I thought it was such an attentive and generous gesture. I end up loving my hot lavender Earl Grey with oat milk. =] and those of you REAL tea lovers ought to give it a try. read more

Atmosphere: Boba Baba has a clean and spacious interior, though there are a limited number of tables. Service: The line can get long, but once at the front, they serve food immediately, and drinks shortly afterwards. The servers were friendly and patient while we chose from their mochi donuts. Food: We ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte with Mango Jelly and a Strawberry Mochi Donut. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was sweet from the strawberry puree, but once mixed, the matcha flavor was pretty overpowering over the strawberry flavor. The Strawberry Mochi Donut was airy and light. The glaze on the donut was very sweet and fruity, but we thought that it went well with the donut itself! Overall: Boba Baba has some decent drinks, and their mochi donuts provide another reason to stop by the shop! When we went in the afternoon, they had already run out of some mochi donut flavors and seem to often run out completely by nighttime, so take this into consideration before visiting. Sunday afternoon tea date with my daughter after another TikTok find. We pulled into the pavilion, and I immediately noticed it was packed. A line formed to the front entrance doors. However, parking was easy to find, and I realized that ordering was a breeze too. I ordered a small Mango Butterfly Fresca with 75% sweetness ( I love the customizable sweetness levels). My daughter got a large Butterfly Fresca with Lychee Jelly, one lemon, and one strawberry donut. We took our order to-go and sat on the pavilion, but we would love to come back when it is more open to lounge on the couch and chat. The teas were delicious, and if we had not had lunch before going here, we could have demolished an entire box of mochi donuts. read more
Love the unique drinks here! Although the menu options are somewhat limited compared to other boba shops, Boba Baba is the definition of quality over quantity. Highly recommend the black sesame and ube latte for the boba veterans looking to try something new :) The inside is very spacious with lounge corner and multiple full size desks + seating, perfect for a study or hangout session. There's also a really *aesthetic* mirror if you're looking for an Instagram-able boba trip haha. All in all, I'm for sure coming back to try the other drinks! read more

The main source of my happiness for my time here! Very consistent and has unique menu options like the Osmanthus oolong shown here and the matchata. They also have great desserts (mochi donuts and cream puffs) which are also not found in many stores in town. read more

this was my first time here, believe it or not (i've never really been a huge boba drinker)! i've definitely been looking forward to trying the cream puffs then the mochi donuts on the weekend. my sister ordered her jasmine milk tea as well as the cream puffs for all of us to try. it was late in the afternoon so there wasn't that many customers, just a few studying which seems like a really relaxing place to do! it's got a super minimalistic aesthetic, which i really like & wish my bedroom was like that. there's two entrances for ease of access & there's multiple seating arrangements. the workers were really efficient, friendly & quick! will be back to try some bubble tea & hopefully the mochi donut soon! read more

5* for the tea but 3* for the accommodation. I visited the place on June 6th and they did not have indoor seating ready yet and neither outdoor seating. Also, only 8 people were allowed inside at a time. So, just call and check if the indoor seating is ready since this plaza have only few outdoor seating options in shade. As for the boba tea menu, it's pretty fabulous and the service is really nice. read more

Boba Baba was a refreshing addition to the Triangle Bubble Tea scene! After trying milk teas from many places in the area, I'm glad to say that this is the highest quality tea that I've tried. The location/atmosphere: Boba Baba is clean, bright, and incredibly roomy for a bubble tea store. There are plenty of long tables with plenty of seating and a comfy couch area. The store is located in the Publix shopping plaza diagonally from H Mart. Overall, a very convenient spot! The menu: The menu has a number of your classic teas including black, jasmine, matcha, Hong Kong, and Thai. I tried the Jasmine tea, and it was incredibly flavorful and tasty. I like that you can adjust the level of sweetness. There are more unique tea flavors too, but I didn't have a chance to try those yet. As far as price, it's about 5-6 dollars for a 16oz drink. Lastly, there's a small display case with desserts made from scratch. Come for the drinks and food, but stay for the nice atmosphere right in the heart of Cary. My boyfriend and I stopped by here after going to H Mart down the street. I'm not a fan of boba but he is, and they've got non-boba stuff! He got the Butterfly Mango Fresca with mango jellies, and said his drink was flavorful and refreshing. I got a hot royal chai with almond milk and 25% sweetness. The chai came out piping hot so I had to wait a bit to drink it. It was delicious though - just a touch of sweetness, nothing crazy. Keep in mind: this isn't Starbucks so the chai here will be less milky (at Starbucks it's steamed milk with chai syrup, whereas at Boba Boba it seemed like actual chai tea plus milk and some sweetener). I can't speak to the iced version but I'd definitely get the hot one again. The service was good here too. They still are taking COVID precautions, which I appreciated. Our order also came out very quickly. read more
Located right across the street from Hmart, Boba Baba will fill your bubble tea cravings. Unlike most bubble tea places around the triangle area, Boba Baba is a stand-alone establishment. Meaning that it is not franchised and owned by a major company. In turn, every drink is made with great care and consideration to its customers. The only small inconvenience that I can think of is that while this place has an extensive menu for milk tea enthusiasts, it does not have the largest selection of fruit teas drinkers. With that being said, there are still fantastic options, though limited. Aside from bubble tea, you can also pick between 6 flavors of mochi donuts as well. Overall this is a fantastic place to quench your thirst as well as try a new type of dessert as well. read more

The best boba place in the triangle! One of our favorite things about Boba Baba is their curated list of drinks that focuses on quality over quantity. The drinks are creative and consistently good and they can't be found at other boba shops. Also, if you're ever looking to try something new, they have a rotating seasonal menu (drinks/pastries). As for the interior, there's ample seating and a clean and trendy aesthetic. The only con for Boba Baba in general is that there's a lack of outlets making it harder to work/study. It's also important to note that it can get pretty busy at times (weekends and after school) but the service tends to be quick and you'll get you're drink within 5 minutes after you order. Our recommendations include: Butterfly Fresca, Mango Fresca, all of the mochi donuts, HK Style Milk Tea, Lychee Green Tea. read more
I'm shocked that I have never reviewed this business considering how many times I have been here?! Boba Baba is my favorite tea cafe in the Triangle. Boba Baba is a tea cafe in Cary off High House Road. The location is super convenient and the interior is decorated nicely. They're being really safe with COVID safety and are only offering pick up and take out orders. Yay! I tried their new Ube latte yesterday and it was so yummy! I got lychee jelly too just because I really like it but would probably not order it in the same drink next time lol. So good! Their strawberry matcha latte and Thai tea are also super yummy. I saw they are offering a new black sesame latte that I neeeeed to try next time I stop by. I recommend this place to everyone and it's always my first choice when I'm in the mood for some bubble tea. read more

Words cannot describe how much love I have for these mochi donuts. This was my first time eating them and I'm absolutely hooked! I'm craving it so badly right now and I'm kind of kicking myself in the butt for not ordering more They're so airy and fluffy! I devoured them so quickly! Definitely a new favorite boba spot! The boba shop is super cute and has a cozy feeling and has delicious drinks as well! The staff was super friendly and helped us picked which drink to pick and they did not disappoint! We will definitely be coming back to this boba spot when we're back in the area. This was my 2nd time at Boba Baba. The first time (May 2021) was very packed during the mid-to-late afternoon on a Saturday. This most recent time was late on a Sunday evening, where it was relatively empty. For convenience, I ordered online (Clover site). Boba Baba's website does mention that to preserve quality, they make the drinks upon your arrival, so make sure to check-in when you get there so they can get started on you order! The menu has a lot of options and is very similar to Boba Guys (out on the west coast) with items like Strawberry Matcha Latte and Hong Kong Milk Tea. You can make adjustments to the size and sweetness levels. Boba Baba is a premium option (price, but also high quality!). Back when I first visited in May they had a selection of mochi donuts available. Not sure if they cut this menu item or it was due to the time I went the second time around. Additionally, looks like indoor seating is available and it's pretty spacious. They're big on streetwear brand décor (Supreme, Off White, etc.) and overall have a nice aesthetic interior. I got: * Hojicha Milk Tea - Other hojicha's (roasted green tea) I've had have been darker in color and a little bit deeper in terms of flavor, but this was still really good! The boba was a good chewy texture. The best boba spot I've found in the Triangle area so far! read more
It's always a joy to visit Boba Baba. Their drinks are delicious and really feel like they're handcrafted with love. In my opinion, the ingredients taste fresher and less processed than boba from bigger chain stores. The interior is spacious, cute, and modern. I haven't tried their pastries, but they're definitely on the list for my next visit! read more
Strawberry matcha latte 8/10 Black sesame latte 9/10 Oolong cream puff 7/10 Ube cream puff 9/10 Very cute boba shop with tons of indoor seating! As someone from California, I was excited to find a good boba spot to satisfy my cravings. The strawberry matcha latte was delicious, strong matcha AND strawberry flavors and not too sweet. The black sesame latte at 50% sweetness was my favorite, it was so rich, earthy, and nutty but I would get it with even less sweetness next time. The tapioca ball textures are normal, nothing special. The ube cream puff was my favorite! Create pastry texture, they do not skimp out on the filling which was so fluffy, creamy, with a nice deep ube texture and not overly sweet. Oolong was the same but the tea flavor was not as strong as I would liked. Overall an amazing boba shop with great tea flavor, a great diverse menu, and a nice selection of baked goods. Yum! Boba. It is great that Boba Baba popped up in this location, so I can swing by on H Mart trips. I've been twice now and couldn't deviate from my Thai Tea with boba. It is fantastic that you have the option of switching out dairy for oat, soy, or almond tea for no additional charge. Don't you hate that?! I still opted to keep the condensed milk in there, however (of course). Delicious. I tried a sip of the green tea mango as well. Surprisingly delicious! Would also consider getting that if I wanted something fruity in the future. read more

Came here since Hey Cream (about 10 min away ) was closed for renovations. I'm from the North where Tiger Sugar and other bubble tea locations are a huge hit and taste amazing. I ordered the HK style bubble tea along with three different mochi donuts. The bubble tea here is a bit too bitter and not sweet at all (After asking for 75% sugar). The donuts were amazing though! The flavors pop through even with the thin coating of frosting. Dough melts in your mouth. Loved them. If I had to come back it wouldn't be for the bubble tea but definitely the donuts. read more
The hazelnut chocolate glazed mochi donut has the perfect amount of chewiness with a hint of sweetness. It's a really unique donut that's hard to find here. In addition, their bubble tea is refreshing. I always order the milk tea with 25% sugar and less ice. You can modulate the sweetness per your preference. In addition, they offer oat milk and almond milk as alternatives to regular milk. The cost of their small milk tea is $4.50 with boba. They have also mastered social distancing by limiting number of customers waiting in their store. read more

Ok, well if you know me, you know I am a boba/bubble tea fanatic. I am constantly on the search for new tea spots to try. I saw a review for this store and it was 35 minutes from my home, but reviews determined it was worth a try. This place is amazing! I've tried Strawberry Matcha tea elsewhere but this one is the most flavorful I've had. I also had their milk lychee tea and wow, it was yummy. Their boba is soft and chewy (which can be hard to find in the area) and their taste......you can taste the green matcha, the lychee, the strawberry. It's the most authentic I've tried in the area . It's an experience for sure. The establishment is very clean and the service was great! read more

Omg. That Butterfly Fresca is the absolute bomb! It's so light and refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. The Boba balls were delicious and the flavor of the tea was just great! I was very pleased with the tea and I and very happy with the service received at the shop. They didn't take long to create the drinks and walked them over and set them on a table for you to pick up. My sister went back on Sunday and got me another butterfly fresca AND the strawberry mochi donut Delicious, light, excellent flavor. The donuts weren't too heavy and the icing on top was perfect. I can't wait to go back once all this covid is over and see how they operate at full function! read more
