HOT TIP: don't wait in the drive through line, park in the plaza next door and walk over to order in person! My friends and I wanted boba at night so we went around 11 PM and the drive through line was PACKED. We waited for around 10 minutes and did not move one inch. We ended up parking in the plaza and ordering in person, got our drinks, and the drive through line literally moved one car up... Fast and delicious drink . Love the drive through especially with a toddler in car:) love the Hokkaido milk tea, it is highly recommended .

I'll admit, even driving by and seeing its drive thru line like in-n-out's at busy times has made me avoid this establishment. Baldwin Ave is 2-laned, but there's a lot of in & out from the plazas adjacent already. Also, it does have a more "young crowd" at night. BUT, my coworker got their oolong milk (50-75% sugar) with boba, and I was surprisingly pleased at quality! Appreciated the tea taste, though sweetness was higher than I preferred. Boba had great chewy consistency, even throughout the day. Nice, sturdy cups, so no potential spillage. Not a review of purchase experience or price, as I have neither. Will update if I ever do decide to roll in, but like I said, location/venue isn't really what I look for. read more

The Mango with Probiotic drink with boba is by far my favorite and has become my husband's favorite too! My friend from Singapore came to visit last week and took her here and she was amazed how big the place was! We're just happy we live nearby so if we have friends over, we can just drive thru here! Ok wish I took a picture of the drinks but hands down the coolest concept and first boba drive thru I know of and we def need one of these in the SFV. Boba is delicious the milk tea is sooo good, and I love how the boba texture is and not too sweet since the drinks are already sweet. They are not cheap cups and the ice to milk ration is perfect. My mom loved the fresh fruit bites in her tea. Definitely one of my top 5 boba places and I've gone to quite a few. Will have to come back to try other flavors. Also the placement of the drive thru isn't the best tho, it goes down the busy street. read more

I accidentally discovered this location on my way home. It was a hot day and I'm happy to say I'm happy I stopped for a drink. I tried their Strawberry Mango Smoothie and it was delicious! Listen, it's a boba drive thru. It doesn't get much better than that, one would think. However, it does. because not only is it a boba drive thru, but a GOOD boba drive thru. They are not skimping on quality and quantity here. Their large size is LARGE. Their toppings are always well prepared and they are generous. The flavors are excellent, and this is the only place that I can drink the hokkaido tea -- most taste like fake butterscotch and are really cloyingly sweet. Here, however, the hokkaido reminds me of biting into a fresh, sweet bun from a Taiwanese bakery. It is a true dessert. My other favorite drink to get here is the CHEESE GRAPE! I am obsessed with this drink. It's a fresh grape slushy with cheese foam. It's amazing. It's delightful, it's refreshing. Cheese grape is love. Cheese grape is life. Their fruit teas here are small in options, there's only a few to pick from, but that's because they actually put whole chunks of real fruit in their fruit teas! The small menu works out well because they are serving quality. We've only ever had their popcorn chicken when it comes to food, but let me just say that they do not mess around with the portions for the price here. Delicious, fresh, and plenty leftover. The drive thru can get pretty bustling at times, so do be prepared to wait if you see the line of cars outside, because the parking situation here isn't the best. Drive thru is convenient but service is questionable. The kid that was at the window was very nice but made me the completely wrong drink. I ordered a jasmine green tea with cheese foam and half sugar. Not super simple but not complicated. I got a matcha tea with foam and 0 sugar (???). When I turned back and told him about this he was super nice and made me the correct order - or so I thought. He forgot the sugar again. There was no one behind me so as much as I want to make excuses for him, I can't really justify getting an order wrong twice in a row. I also ordered a thai tea and it came out way too sweet. This was my 4th time trying out boba ave and I can honestly say that I have not once been satisfied with my experience. At a certain point, you've just got to take the L and blacklist the place mentally. I've no hate to my friends who like this place but unfortunately I would not willingly come back here. read more

The two stars is for 1) service and 2) taste. This place is definitely overhyped. I pass by it all the time with cars lining way out the driveway and was curious what the hype was about. The guy that took my order was incredibly rude. I had ordered my drink with boba, but when my drink came out without he blamed me and said "I did not order boba," because it wasn't on my receipt. Poor service when you blame the customer for something you did wrong (like forget to put boba in my order ...). The very first thing one should learn in the service industry is that the customer is always right. Second, the drinks were not even that great...for what it's worth. Finally got to try this place! I pass this places several times a month and love that it's the only DRIVE THROUGH boba place!! I have two kiddos so I hate getting in and out of the car for everything. I order popcorn chicken extra spicy and non spicy fries for the kiddos. Popcorn chicken was bomb! This cute little modernistic cafe has a drive through for a quick snack as well as outdoor seating and a cozy albeit limited indoor seating. Tables are mostly for two. This is a place for hanging out for the younger crowd. It has mostly mediocre snacks. I tried the chicken wings which were bland but crispy. I also had fried shrimp flavored tofu and fries. I'm not sure what they were shooting for with these two snacks. A little sweet and a little salty. Enjoyable but odd. Overall a fairly bland experience. read more

I thought it would be faster to order in store instead of ordering through the long drive-thru. After ordering I wanted to sit inside to wait for my drink, however a worker rudely told me that I was not allowed to wait inside and that I had to wait outside instead. Keep in mind it was freezing outdoors especially since it's winter time and the drinks were estimated to take about 30 minutes to make. I personally do not recommend coming to this boba shop as the workers have no regard to its customers. First timer here! The unique thing about this place is obviously the drive thru. I thought it'd be similar to the 7 leaves drive thru where they serve their drinks pretty quick. Maybe because of Covid they're short staff ? We were already in line waiting for about 30 min so we had to stick with it. The other thing is that we had to wait along the red lines on the street ! It was a bit weird for us. Took a total of about 40 min to finally get our order. We the strawberry &mango green tea (half sweet) and the blended strawberry yogurt. Gave this place another try and my second visit was much better than the first. I ordered the messy sugar boba and it was great. The boba was perfectly cooked and the drink was delicious. Tried the Hokkiado milk with pudding and it was also good. I got full sweetened again (by accident) and it was a bit too sweet for me but my wife enjoyed it. A new thing I tried was their popcorn chicken. It was very well cooked - crispy on the outside but not overly breaded. It also came with this tasty buttery/cream sauce that you can dip the chicken in. Overall, Boba Ave redeemed itself and I'll be back to get boba here if I'm ever in the area. read more
