I consider myself a boba connoisseur and happened upon this place now almost 3 years ago. This place never fails!! I always order the brown sugar milk tea with boba and it is so delicious every time. It's the perfect amount of sweet, the boba is never too soft, it's perfect. The service is super quick and it's a DRIVE THRU BOBA!!! I don't know how many drive thru boba's we have in Southern California or even just in the valley area but this one is a must. Such a cool vibe. read more

I think the drinks here are about a 3.5. The brown sugar boba definitely tastes like brown sugar and I think it was overpowering for my drink (Jasmine green milk tea), the texture was good. I always see them with good business and decided to drive by and see what the hype was. They are known for their convenient drive-thru line. I believe you can also park and order inside their small cafe. DRIVE-THRU: Love that they have a drive-thru for convenience, but the line took forever to move along. I had to park in a certain area and wait for them to runover the popcorn chicken as well even after making it to the line. Good news was that it was freshly made, but still a little sad it took a while. I hope they hire more help or find a way to speed up the process. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. My partner in life tried to find me an Oreo milk tea somewhere and while Boba Ave did not have that, he ordered an appropriate alternate, the brown sugar milk tea boba. And wow. I got Messy Brown Sugar Boba (can't do less sweet...so sad at first, but trust me it was not too sweet) and my friend got the Mango Strawberry Green Tea (50% sweet). Got our drinks within reasonable time at the next window. Waited at the parking lot for our food so we don't hold up the line. Popcorn Chicken (medium spicy) - crispy, hot, tasty. I would suggest to order the spicy level one level down from what you normally eat. My friend and I love spicy food and the medium level was too spicy for us. Will order mild next time. Fries (medium spicy) - crispy, seasoned well. Medium spicy was perfect for us. This level of spiciness was appropriate. Messy Brown Sugar Boba - originally was bummed because they can't do less sweet, but it was actually it was very good. Not extremely sweet, just perfect. Lots of chewy boba. I like. My friend really liked this too. And we have tried many different boba shops. This specific drink was better than Tea Maru. Strawbery Mango Green Tea - it had remnants of mango, which I liked. READ BEFORE YOU GO I've gotten boba and food items here many times from the drive-through but this time was the first time I went inside. I was APPALLED at what I saw in the kitchen. I ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea and saw the attendant reach into the BIN OF MILK TEA, scoop out a few cups of milk tea into a blender, then toss the cup back in. It's not freshly made and probably had been sitting there for a while. You can see the different bins of teas in the photo circled in red. What made everything worse is that another worker was mopping the floors at the time with chlorine or bleach (a strong smelling disinfectant). With the bins so close to the floor, some of the chemicals probably contaminated the teas in the bin. After seeing this, I really couldn't stomach my boba milk tea and tossed it. I've been loving this place really much. The Cheese Matcha Tea Latte is amazing, with 25% sugar, the matcha favor is strong and the cheese is super good. I couldn't stop craving for more. You pull up to the first window that has a variety of milk and fruity tea option posted on menu board. They also have a rotating happy hour menu for tasty and more affordable options. I knew the drinks had to be pretty good if the line was that long! Staff was friendly and efficient-- we waited about 10 minutes for our drinks. When they gave them to us, they told us that if the drinks weren't to our liking, to let them know and they would make new ones. How sweet is that?! What I love about their fresh fruit teas is that they put in actual fruit bits in the drinks, which add so much flavor and freshness. They're paired well with crystal boba. I was looking for a new Boba place to try out in Arcadia and decided to check Boba Ave Express for the first time due to the high reviews. I love the drive thru concept and the simple menu. The simple menu allows for people to see what they serve easier instead of a big menu where a new person trying the place has to hold up the line to decide on what they want. Location- This business is located on Baldwin Ave which is one of the busiest main street in Arcadia. Baldwin Ave is only 2 lanes so cars entering the drive through will be causing traffic which I think is a negative for this location. I was car number six in line and I was definitely blocking traffic but I did feel that the line went pretty fast. The drive thru reminds me of a car wash. Food/drinks- I tried the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea- 25% Sugar and Hokkaido Milk Tea- regular sugar. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea was perfect and the Boba was soft and chewy. The Hokkaido was good but too sweet for me so I'll probably get it with less sugar next time. I also ordered the popcorn chicken. Their popcorn chicken was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Chicken was moist, outside was crunchy and it had a sweet taste to it which is different than other popcorn chicken that I've had. Service- Great service and the staff was very friendly. Girl at the window knew it was my first time and she told me to try the drink and if I didn't like the sweetness level or drink she would change it for me. I was there with my son on a Friday night a couple weeks ago. As usual there were around 4 to 5 cars in front of us. We wanted popcorn chicken and fries. The lady on speaker phone said, sorry, there r too many orders and the wait time is gonna be ONE HOUR . That was around 10:30pm. Of course we left. my 12 year old likes their popcorn chicken so much. The next night we went again at about the same time. This time the lady said the wait time is gonna be 45 mins. What a great improvement. Thanks. Avoid this place. For whatever reason, if they don't want to serve food, just take it down from the menu. Or just put a sign up about the ONE HOUR wait time. So that customers don't have to wait on the long line for nothing. Again avoid this place if u want popcorn chicken and fries. read more

A very high contender on my boba list that's pickier by the day with boba texture specifically. I would say this spot is just under sunright for me in terms of great quality and taste for the boba itself. I got the origina brown sugar boba milk tea and appreciate that it has the actual tea and caffeine in it rather than a lot of shops that do brown sugar only have it with milk as an option. The tea was fairly strong and not overly milky at full sweet and less ice. The drive thru here is quite long normally so I would be prepared to wait and don't assume it's faster just because it's a drive thru unless you come at random off peak times. Good location but the line can stick out into the street which is a little anxiety inducing. Overall cute efficient spot with a menu that's not too overwhelming and to the point. I think they have good drinks, but the drive-thru line of which I think the purpose is for things to go faster is actually...incredibly slow. Expect at least at 20 min. wait from where I am in the photo. Not sure if it's worth the wait, if you're just getting drinks. ***the owner messaged me and said they do 5 min. per car so from where I was at it's supposed to be 20 min. We had previously tried it when it was under a different name / owned by different people. It's one of the few Boba spots that is open late - most close around 9 or 10. First impression, we thought the new layout was a little weird. You enter from one side while the other side is just a drive-thru window. It used to be the opposite, where you entered was the drive thru and the drive thru was a little covered hang out spot. Small change, no biggie. Our only gripe about this was, it's the same person working the window and the floor so our wait time to have our order taken was a little long. Service 4/5 We ordered: Almond Milk Tea at 50% sweetness with Honey Boba. I was slightly afraid I wouldn't like the Almond Milk Tea since the hubs prefers his sweetness level super low, but the sweetness from the Honey Boba made it perfect. The almond flavor was slightly lacking but overall we give the drink 4/5. Medium Spicy Popcorn Chicken. We were super surprised at the quality and quantity of the Popcorn Chicken! You definitely get your money's worth. As for the flavor, the medium spicy wasn't as spicy as I would have liked it but the husband really enjoyed it. There is a nice little sweet kick to it as well which we thought helped balance out the flavors. We definitely give this a 5/5. read more

Boba Ave One of my best memories with boba was at boba ave. I've been going there ever since they had their happy hour special for 1 dollar drinks after 10pm. So I remember going their every single night! What's unique about boba ave is they have a drive threw available and it's almost just as fast as going to order inside. Boba ave's menu has changed a lot and gotten smaller by a lot. At boba ave we usually only go their if there is a good deal like buy one get one. The drinks are only ok here and this place is not really my go to spot. A reason is because they don't blend their drinks that well so there are chunks of ice in the drinks. read more
