Blue Ribbon Bacon comes swimming in a Syrup w a bit of pepper
    Beth H.

Easy pull in with a large Home Depot parking lot just behind for RV parking. We wanted quick and consistent comfort food which was BE biscuits and gravy on a Sunday. We ordered to share. B&G, Blue Ribbon bacon, loaded home fries and fruit. The fruit was not fresh and very small portion. It wasn't too pricey but should have been fresher for what was given. The Blue Ribbon bacon is simply bacon with syrup poured over and few sprinkles of pepper. The sticky mess isn't worth the experience. I'll stick to regular bacon next time. Loaded home fries - they ran out of green onion. At this point, we were wonder wtf else could there be off for this visit... B&G full order used to be 4 biscuits with a bowl of gravy. Came with two. We order 1 more when we needed it and she brought two and didn't charge us. (We didn't complain about the portion to her) Service was excellent. Waitress is Melissa (according to the receipt). She was super friendly, fast and offered to bring us to go cups for refills. Back on the road with full bellies.

    Dang Hot Chicken Sandwich

My boyfriend and I usually enjoy weekend brunch at Bob Evans. We had a strange experience. First, we sit at our table and the tip from the last group was sitting there. We were told to ignore it, someone would be around shortly to get it. Next, we order and when it came, it was less than desirable. Half of the plate was empty, where we assume the other half of the fries should have been. The French toast was supposed to be brioche, but it was regular bread. We understand that supplies can run short, but inform the customer when they order so they can decide if they want regular bread or something else. We saw the waitress three time (when we ordered, when we got the food, and with the bill). She never checked in with us or gave us napkins. The hot chicken sandwich was super messy. We could have used the napkins. It also could have used more hot sauce. You can do better Bob Evans...you can do better.

Debating on going? But don't wanna go alone ohh well!;)

    Turkey dinner and western omelette

The low star reviews of this place must have been commissioned by the local competition. This restaurant is always busy and the wait staff is efficient and courteous. The food is so reliable. When you are in mod Michigan, it's difficult to find a reliable place that you can walk into and it feels warm and familiar. The food is hot and portions are large. Took five minutes on Saturday at noon to get our food after being seated. Ten minute wait in line. We love the turkey dinner and the omelettes. The rolls are yeasty. The biscuits sausage and bacon is tasty. Coffee is hot and delicious. Ignore the other reviews and enjoy your meal.

Stopped for breakfast. Everything pretty grimy from coffe cups, to silverware, syrup dispenser, and jelly container. Most food seemed processed or frozen, nothing fresh. Service was friendly & staff was doing their best. There are just so many restaurants to compete with that have fresher, healthier, ingredients. Definitely not the Bob Evans I remember from my childhood.

Can't ever enjoy a breakfast here without some kind of issue both dine in and take out. Service is terrible and you can see wait staff huddling in the back slowing down the services. Food is a hit or miss but never good, but picture is worth a 1000 words. All 3 pancakes had burnt bottoms.

The aioli and sweet soy was a great complement to the perfectly cooked, juicy bites of fried chicken. Meals: YES, there was just two of us and YES we got three meals, soup and an app. The menu is outstandingly elevated, packed with creativity and flavor profiles. We chose the Venison Chili to start and wow, it was amazing. Our meals were 1. Southern Mac 9/10: not our favorite due to the cheese sauce, but the flavors overall were spot on, noodles perfect, spicy jalapeños and the pickled onion was a perfect touch. 2. Steak Dinner: this is the meal that made me ask who the Chef here is! 100000/10! Most amazing, juicy, tender and flavorful steak I've ever had. I asked for a side of the truffle garlic aioli because I wanted to try it, the steak didn't need a darn thing (although I did take the horseradish aioli home to try and replicate!) The sides were perfect, the veggies and the potatoes - yum. The house made sauces were amazing but for only dunkin' those potatoes - don't ruin a good steak with sauce. Seriously, it's that good. 3. Gyro Lamb Burger: 10/10! The lamb was juicy, the homemade tzatziki was so darn flavorful and the cucumbers were crisp and fresh. Dessert: leftovers, and our delicious drinks from the bar - we didn't have a bite to spare in our stomach's. Hats off to the chef and team who created this menu! We drove almost an hour to come here based on your Google reviews alone and it was worth every second of the long rainy drive! We will absolutely be back. This is a level of service and food you need to tell your friends about.

They were also doing a deal on their mocktails for dry January, which I thought was cool. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for meat-eaters--I wouldn't come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Entrees get a bit pricey (their steak frites is $49), but sandwiches are around $15-$18 and come with fries. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese instead of fries. My friend got the chicken and chorizo nachos and we decided to split them half and half. Our food came out quickly and looked really good! The wrap was tasty but I couldn't really taste the pistachio pesto. The mac and cheese was incredible--super cheesy, perfectly cooked cavatappi noodles, and very flavorful. I'm really glad I upgraded to that and would even consider getting the full entree size in the future. The nachos were pretty loaded, and a generous portion. I liked all the toppings but didn't really taste much chorizo. These would be a good starter for a group. Overall a very good experience and I would come back.

The location is great and I was able to find street parking nearby pretty easily (although it was during CMU's winter break). I got a breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, cheddar, and potato, and an oat milk latte. The employee taking my order was patient and friendly. The space isn't huge but I was able to get a small high top table near the front window to read and enjoy my breakfast. The latte was very delicious and creamy, and the breakfast burrito was huge! I loved that it came with salsa and sour cream. I definitely could have saved half for later, but it was so good that I smashed the whole thing. The seating wasn't super comfortable, but I was able to hang out for about an hour or so, reading and having a nice warm meal. Loved my visit to this Ponder Coffee and will definitely go back in the future.

I've never made a reservation there (or for Varley) but this was the second time they've tried to tell me my reservations were for there. When I make an online reservation, at Ivy's address, there's no option to select Coco Cabana, so I don't know why there has happened multiple times. It seems like they're trying to force people to go to their less popular restaurant, which feels unethical and is very off putting. With this said, the bartender is phenomenal, he makes great cocktails. And the staff have always been very friendly and engaging.
