The bacon was half cooked,the sausage was burned so bad you couldn't eat it,both biscuits literally crumbled and fell to pieces they were so hard ,you could actually crumble them to a fine powder,and the hash browns were a tiny bit brown on the outside and ice cold on the inside. All-around horrible experience and dismal customer service. Ordered carryout for myself and my son. 2 people. Around $60 all said. When I arrived to pick up the order there were 3 total tables seated in the dining room. At a minimum 1.5 employees to every customer. It took several minutes and 4 employees just staring at me without even acknowledging my existence before the right person noticed and retreived my food. It was absolutely the worst food from Bob Evans I had ever seen. Multiple missing items, unproofed, cold rolls, overcooked items, and the desserts looked as if they were dropped on the floor and scooped back into the containers. Embarrassing lack of effort on every front. That said, i wouldn't be posting this here if not for the fact that I emailed both of their customer service addresses, and have not received a reply from either. Since February 3rd. With 2 follow-up emails. So now the only thing I can do is go around and talk shit about their ineptitude all over social media. Because that's what ya do, I guess. Our family recently experienced a sudden loss, and after a long day of errand and planning, my husband and I stopped into Bob Evans for a late dinner. The staff was extremely warm and friendly, and the service was lightning-fast. For my meal, I ordered a half BLT sandwich with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. My combo also came with my choice of pumpkin bread, biscuits, or dinner rolls, and I of course chose the pumpkin bread. Yum! I had never tried pumpkin bread before tonight. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased a full loaf on the way out. The sandwich and soup were equally delicious, though the lettuce on my sandwich was not terribly crisp. My husband ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast combo, featuring eggs, toast, bacon, and fruit, though he could have chosen a potato side instead of the fruit. We also shared a cup of biscuits and gravy. The gravy was full of flavor but the biscuits were a smidge hard. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return in the near future. There is plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. The servers are all good. I placed my order for my holiday pies in November 5, 2025 on Bobevans.com to be picked up at tge Harrison, Ohio location on 11/25/25 at 12:30pm. I received an email confirmation and receipt for my payment. I arrived at the curbside pickup area and called the store on 11/25/25. The girl who answered was unable to locate my order and asked if I had a receipt. I explained that I had one on my phone. She then said she would be out to check. She never came out and, after waiting several minutes, she called back and stated her manager said it would be best if I came inside so they didn't have to take my phone? I honestly didn't understand why they would need to take my phone anyway if I showed them the receipt. I was on a work call in my car which was why I opted for curbside pickup, so I had to explain to my colleagues that I would have to call them back (which I shouldn't have had to do), and I proceeded into the store. The manager never said anything, just looked at my phone, mumbled a few things about not being able to locate the order, then another employee standing nearby said "that order is back there. I saw it." The manager then went looking some more and, while she was away, the other employee told me "I don't know why she couldn't find it. I had no trouble seeing it." The manager then hollered across the store asking me to confirm my order (this was after she looked at the order confirmation I was forced to bring inside). I told her what my order was and she brought it over and sat it on the desk without so much as a "I'm sorry for your inconvenience ", or "thank you for being patient ", or even "hope you have a good day". I honestly felt like she thought I was somehow inconveniencing her. It was extremely rude and terrible customer service. I will most likely be getting my holiday pies elsewhere, moving forward. That manager definitely should not be working with the public or even be in a management position as she clearly has no regard for the customers that come into her store. read more

Didn't enjoy at all, even after soaking in the gravy. Wouldn't one star that alone though. I got coffee and ordinarily coffee is topped off regularly. Not here. Not even offered. So I finished my breakfast with my wife's tea as we never saw our waitress again. Oh yeah my wife got an unsweet tea. When she finished the glass and stopped the waitress to ask for another, she told her that there wasn't any more unsweet tea at 6:50pm. Open until 9 and no more unsweet tea....got it. The $24.99 deal comes with an additional side. Family size soup to go are $4.99-$5.99 and serves 4. I chose to slow roasted pot roast since it's their signature item. I needed a breakfast order delivered for my work, 30 people. I live a state away or I would have delivered. The website says they deliver and they have large catered size meals....perfect! I get my ordered entered, create an account, entered my payment info and then got an error saying to try again because they aren't open yet. I waited till opening time and tried again. Of course my order didn't save and I had to redo everything, enter payment info.....same error message. Now I'm panicking. How am I going to feed all these people that just worked all night?! So I call, hoping for help, 15 minutes later someone finally answers and says "no we don't deliver". I told her the website says you do and I need help getting breakfast for these folks. She says "Look. Our cook called in. You can talk to a manager but its going to be a while and they aren't going to help you". They missed out on a $400 order. Being a chain restaurant I expected typical service. Nothing over the top. However, I did not expect it to be so poor. When we walked in the hostess took our name and said it would be a 10 min. wait. No biggie. Shortly after we saw 3-4 different tables leave. We watched the tables be cleaned off and yet we were still waiting to be seated. At one point the hostess came over and asked if we were checking out - completely forgetting we had been waiting there for a table. Finally we noticed (I'm assuming a manager) someone tell the hostess to start sitting people. We thought the frustration was behind us. Little did we know it had just begun... Our waitress came over and got us drinks right away and then came back and took our order. After that it was like she disappeared into thin air. We were waiting so long for refills we eventually had to ask a random waiter because we couldn't find ours. As we're waiting for our food we notice 2 young gentleman who were seated after us sitting at the bar already have their food. Not the end of the world but added to our frustration. There were 2 workers behind the bar talking to them for an extended period of time (assuming they were all friends). At one point the girl behind the bar was talking to them and eating rather than working. Not a good look. Most of our food came out fine. However, I ordered the scrambler and in the picture and description it said it came with diced tomatoes, scallions and shredded cheese. None of that was on my plate. The meal also looked completely different than the picture. We told our waitress and said oh yeah I can get you a diced tomato but I think we're out scallions. Okay. Also, it came with their new crispy biscuit which looked good on the picture. However, on my plate it looked/tasted like a flat crispy salted cracker. Not good. Again, for being a chain I expected to at least have subpar service but it was way worse than that. I would advice the manager to be focusing more on who they're hiring. read more

This Bob Evans is a standout operation. The General Manager was hands-on and lead by example. The wait staff had a sense of urgency and hospitality that was best in class, not what you would expect from a regional chain. The food was right on time, hot, and perfectly cooked. Locals were treated like family, but as a passerby I felt included and on the inside. The team had a strong sense of camaraderie that was felt. My family of 3 went to eat dinner at this location in Harrison, Ohio last night (8/24/19). We we're seated promptly and our order taken within minutes. However, we sat for an hour waiting for our dinners. Then my husband and I received our dinners, but my poor daughter had to wait almost another 20-30 minutes to get her dinner of fried cod, corn, and fries! Ridiculous. My husband and I were about done eating by this time. You would have thought the cooks were out back slaughtering a cow for a burger, picking lettuce for a salad, and fishing for the cod! The food tasted fine. However, we will not be returning to eat there. While there, we noticed everyone else waiting entirely too long for their orders too. Bad staffing but good food 1. This should have been a warning (and I actually said this to my husband) -- we had to wait approximately 8 minutes to be seated. We were the only people in line with staff chatting and eating behind the counter 2. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. It was not busy at all with many empty dirty tables around us 3. We ordered and food come within 15 minutes ... but incorrect order. We ordered fried chicken and received grilled chicken. The staff offered to get the fried chicken and came back and told us the reason we received grilled was because they were out of fried chicken. It would have been nice to know as this was the only reason I came to the restaurant. Point is they never bothered to let us know and/or reorder another meal 4. No utensils. We asked and waited several minutes. When they dropped the utensils off to us, we had no forks! Just a knife and spoon. I went to the front of the restaurant and asked for a fork and was told by the manager that they were being washed. What restaurant runs out of forks? A poorly managed one! 5. We saw a manager walk the space and see all the dirty tables -- he yelled out (among paying guests) for all staff to clean and bus tables. At this point there are only 4 tables being served ... no staff listened and we watched the manager clean ALL the dirty tables. The staff continued to chat, laugh and eat behind the counters It's very sad and disappointing to see this happen. Maybe it was a bad day but we didn't get the service we expected. Also, we had to ask for rolls which were part of our meal. YOU ARE A RESTAURANT -- YOUR JOB IS TO SERVE FOOD IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. We were offered a discount of $6. On 04/09/20, I ordered an Easter dinner on the Bob Evans website from the Harrison, OH, location to be delivered on 04/12/20 at 5:30 p.m. for my elderly parents. Bob Evans was offering free delivery via Door Dash. Even though I had an email confirmation from Bob Evans, I tried calling several times on Easter to confirm my order, but I was unable to reach a live person. At 4:00 p.m. on Easter, I got a notice from my credit card company with a pending charge of $50.45. I felt somewhat relieved that my order was being fulfilled. However, that all changed when I received a text from Door Dash at 6:00 p.m. that they were unable to deliver the food because the restaurant had closed. I frantically called the restaurant and got no answer and also replied to the text from Door Dash asking for clarification, but no response. I had to put together a meal for my parents and drive it to their house and by now it is 7:00 p.m. On Monday, the day after Easter, I called Bob Evans and had to hold for 10 minutes to speak to Amber one of the managers. She was extremely rude and very unsympathetic to the situation. When I said a call notifying me they had run out of food would have made the situation much more forgiving, she went off saying they only had four employees that day and there was nothing she could do. She even used some profanity in defending the way, or lack of, the situation was handled. She did say she'd have someone from guest relations at the corporate office contact me. Well, it's now Wednesday and still no call and still no refund on my credit card. I've eaten at this restaurant two times and it's definitely inferior to other Bob Evans. So bottom line, avoid the Bob Evans on Ring Road in Harrison, OH. read more

Been to this location a few times and all but one visit was perfect. It is a restaurant and I understand that at times not everything is perfect. I worked as a server for 2 1/2 years so I know there are good days and bad days. My most recent visit was about a week ago. My husband and myself took our 2 kids (9 and 14 months) for an early dinner (4:30pm). Restaurant was about 25% full. We were seated in a timely manner and had no problems with wait times. The food was all good and service as well. The most disappointing thing were the rolls. I'm not sure if they changed them or these were a bad batch but they were very hard, not old because they were very hot and our server said they were waiting on rolls to come out of the oven. read more

I have visited this location multiple times and was happy with the food and service - until today. I arrived when the restaurant opened. One other person and I sat at the counter (theoretically this is faster). A group was seated at a table. The other person at the counter and I waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. The other person even called out to a passing server and was ignored. I called out to one of the staff that I recognized from my previous visits. I didn't say anything nasty or hateful; all I wanted was some service. The response was a very curt, "I'm busy." Really? They're paid to speak to customers like this? It's not as if I ever tipped poorly or went out of my way to be rude in all my previous visits. As I stated, I'd had pleasant experiences before now. After 20 minutes, I finally got a cup of coffee, which was cold, so I had to ask for a fresh one. How they could have cold coffee after having just opened is beyond me. Maybe it was left over from yesterday and they were hoping I wouldn't notice. I noticed. Once I was able to order, I waited another 40 minutes for food. I'm diabetic. I'm just glad I didn't have a sudden blood sugar drop from sitting there for so long on an empty stomach. When I went to pay my bill, the "busy" person asked me how my service was. I answered honestly: "Horrible." No response, no apology, no offer of restitution, not even a coupon. This pertains to the Harrison Ohio location only. I really do not like giving bad reviews. But it appears that I am starting to see some of the things that the other reviewers talked about in their less than Stellar reviews. We had several good visits to the Harrison Bob Evans. We have also never had any issues at Lawrenceburg. But the last two visits to Harrison have been disappointing. My son and I went about two months ago and we received the wrong food and it was cold. We asked to have it fixed and it never was. A manager walked by with some dishes in his hand and asked if everything was okay. I said not really and he said okay and turned around and walked away in the back. As he was leaving I said to my son he clearly doesn't care. I set there for a minute to calm down then went to the front and ask for the manager. He came out and said I was going to come back and talk to you but I had dirty dishes in my hand and I didn't want to stop then. I have managed restaurants in the past and I know you do not walk away from someone who has an issue without saying I'll be right back. I'm so sorry let me set these dishes down I'll be right back . Something to acknowledge you heard them. He did offer to comp the whole meal after I track him down.. I told him that was not necessary I just wanted him to know that it was not correct. I did not post anything about that one figuring it was just a bad day that happens. Then this past Saturday my wife and I decided to try it again since they have new ownership. We ordered the same thing we always get. The waitress was very friendly. We want to unwrap our silverware and both of our napkins wrapping the silverware had been laid in coffee apparently because they had brown stains on them. We just tore off that part8 because we're reasonable. Then the waitress came around and said I know it's been a while the food will be up shortly. The borderline omelette which is normally stuffed with a good amount of pepper jack cheese then covered in salsa sausage and jalapenos and cheese had two pieces of sausage two slices of jalapeno and was literally lukewarm. My wife had asked for a side of salsa and had to ask for it again once the meal was brought. There was no jelly on the table we had asked for that to be brought over as well. The home fries were warmer than the omelets but not hot by any means. The only thing hot was the biscuits which I'm guessing we're what they were waiting on while the rest of the food set under a heat lamp. We unfortunately will be going to the Lawrenceburg location from now on. And cannot really recommend this location anymore. read more

I went to this Bob Evans location expecting great things. I have never been disappointed at Bob Evans, and always have received a great meal and great service. I've been wanting to give the Harrison store a shot for a while, and finally had the chance to go. I was very disappointed with how it went. The problems started arising when our food was brought. When I saw the plate, I was surprised to see that the portion sizes were half of what I had always been served at other locations. Perhaps the stores have started cutting back on their portions and this isn't a store-specific problem, but I was nevertheless disappointed, and my big appetite was not satisfied. Despite the smaller portions, my food was still very good quality. On the other hand, my girlfriend's meal came out incorrectly, which meant it had to be sent back. When they brought it back, a lot of the meal was frankly unacceptable. The home fries were just redskin potatoes that were soggy with oil and not crispy like normal. Her french toast was burned, and it looked like the cook just tried to cover it up with a mound of powdered sugar. Despite the charred appearance of the french toast, she gave it a taste. It was hard and chewy and not appetizing at all. When we caught our waitress's attention, we asked her to just take the french toast off of our check. She agreed, and surprisingly mentioned that she didn't want to serve us the french toast, and actually got into an argument with the cook who made it about how it was burned and inedible. I find it troubling that a cook would send out food to customers that they themselves recognize is burned and disgusting. Our experience with our waitress was very good, and normal of what you would expect from Bob Evans. It's obvious that some of the cooks in the kitchen may be the problem. Needless to say, this place needs some serious work, and we will not be returning to this location and will try to divert our friends and family who live in Harrison away from this store. There are plenty of places in Harrison that deliver a good breakfast. read more
