Food was some of the worst I have had in a long time. My scrambled eggs were flat and rubbery (I was not even able to eat them). My "toast" was like stale. Read (no brown on them at all). I sent them back to be done again, the hash browns were requested to be crisp (they were not, one side not even warmed and cold on one side). These also got sent back. I should Have sent the eggs back but had already made the waitress (Megan - who was very good) take back stuff so I just didn't eat them. The bacon was good. I talked to the manager about the quality and he "I'm sorry, I just got here". I showed him pictures. We had already paid for our meal but he did nothing to make any of this right. Will not be going back there anytime soon.

Waited an hour for this???

We were seated promptly however we waited over an hour for food and when they brought our food - the order was wrong. We were a party of two. A party of 5 was seated after us and received their food prior to us. Most of the restaurant was empty. Poor service - long wait for a simple breakfast.

Half empty restaurant with a 20 minute wait.

My first impression of this place was not good. There was a wait even though the place was half empty. Part of it had to do with the lady working the front of the house. They had her doing triple duty. She had to seat new customers, check-out those leaving and roll silverware before seating people. She just couldn't handle it all. Once seated things got much better. The server was good and efficient. She greeted us pretty quickly and got our drinks to us right away. The food was decent. I had some kind of breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuits/gravy. My sister had an omelet and my mom had a breakfast bowl. Everyone said their food was good. It wasn't anything spectacular but no complaints. I don't believe I'll be back unless I'm just craving breakfast at an odd time.

Perfect portions and fast service. They were able to accommodate my need for a smaller portion with no problem. The Chicken and Noodles is super yummy!

My parents and I treated ourselves to Bob Evans for breakfast after our morning coffee. Good. I had a craving for bacon. The restaurant was busy but not packed. We were seated reasonably quickly at a window table. However, the tables were set close together so it was a bit difficult to get comfortable. We all ordered coffee and breakfast platters. Mom and I got the Farmer's Breakfast with French toast and bacon. Dad ordered steak and eggs, medium. Food came out at a reasonable time. (Seriously, between a family selfie and web surfing, who cares about wait time?) My breakfast was hit and miss. Bacon craving fulfilled! I also like chewy bacon over crispy and the cook nailed it. Overeasy eggs held their yolk. However, the hash browns were very bland and both French toast slices were a bit burned on the bottom. I could taste the burn despite powdered sugar and syrup. Mom was indifferent toward her home fries, but dutifully ate the rest of her plate. Dad wolfed his down. His medium leaned much more rare, but it was flavored very well. (Thanks for the bite, bro.) The server was kind and solidly attentive, and she apologized to our tables and our neighbors for kitchen delays. My three stars is really a ding on my plate and minor errors elsewhere, but I'd eat here again.

OMG! This is problably our 1st time here...and it was amazing! On a rainy day people tend to find comfort food and saturday we all flock to Bob Evans! It was pretty busy but it didnt take long to be seated. Their menu had a feel of country style options- like cracker barrel, to our surprise and so its staff! A very friendly staff. New on the menu were sweet crepes! (Blueberry and Strawberry.) All our food came together. Our poor waitress had her hands full but she was able to handle her section and loudy babies -some were crying and others just screaming loud! Along with picky customers- A+ on that! We heard her saying...its never this busy and crazy! She was a champ. My eggs benedits were delishhh!! And my blueberry crepe was also yummie. Next time I will order my dessert (crepes) last. It got pretty cold by the time I got to it. My husband french toast was huge! Very happy in our 1st time in Bob Evans! We will return no doubt!

First time there, food was not good and service was poor. Tried again a few months later. Same result. Won't try again.

You know how a failing restaurant starts running out of ingredients and their food quality starts…read morelacking? I'm afraid that's what is happening at this Cheddars location now. The waitress told us before we ordered of everything they were out of. One was white gravy. I had been torn between the Country Fried steak and their Spaghsana (some kind of spaghetti lasagna fusion). So the steak was out because of the gravy and I ordered the Spaghsana. After she put the order in she came back and said they were out of something for the Spaghsana so I ordered the pork chops with mashed potatoes & carrots. My wife ordered the Monte Cristo and was looking forward to their crescent rolls but they were cold when they're usually served hot appearing to be somewhat fresh. One big one and one half the size of the other. The paper they serve them on was burned on the corner. Not just singed, burned back a few inches. Didn't even have the care for quality's sake to replace the cheap piece of paper. Wow, that's bad. She said the Monte Cristo wasn't as good as usual. My pork chops were dry. I could only eat one as I just didn't want to eat any more. Chops and sides appeared to be pre-cooked and reheated. Another sign of a soon to fail restaurant. Very likely a corporate decision to prepare food this way to maximize profits. They call themselves a scratch kitchen giving the illusion that everything is cooked from scratch. Scratch my a$$. What kind of scratch ingredients were they out of for the gravy? Flour? Milk? Grease? Pepper? Couldn't be pepper as there was some on every table. Who runs out of the other stuff? They're staples in any kitchen. Or is it really not a scratch kitchen and their pre-made gravy wasn't delivered? Cut the order short? Or just poor management? The waitress said their staff was thin which sending staff home early is another sign of cutting back to maximize profits. My Caesar salad wasn't even Romaine now that I think of it. I think it was Iceberg with Caesar dressing. It was even turning brown in spots as if it was past its 'best by' date. All of the staff... the remaining staff was as nice as they could be though. We had decided if she said they were out of anything else, we were just going to leave. The sweet tea was good. That's a plus. We had eaten here many times but tonight was our last. Im sure I'll see soon that this location is closed. Although I've lived in Kentucky all of my life, this appears to be on par with most restaurants in this part of the state. Poor. The place was a bit dirty. There was even a piece of a pork chop on the floor underneath the table were some guy tried to stab it with a fork and it was so tough that it shot off the table. Well, I'm sure that's what happened as I was the guy.

O'Charley's: A Mixed Bag of Bites and Booze…read more My wife and I rolled into O'Charley's for supper, ready for a good time, and we mostly got one--though the meal was a bit like a sitcom with great supporting characters but a shaky main plot. My wife went for the 6oz Sirloin Steak with a baked potato and green beans. The steak and spud were solid, hitting all the right notes like a dependable rom-com. But the green beans? They pulled a plot twist and just... weren't. Whatever that means, it wasn't good. I opted for the Shrimp and Grits, paired with a couple of Margaritas that were the real MVPs of the night. Liz, our bartender-server hybrid superhero, deserves a standing ovation for slinging drinks that were strong, not some sad, watered-down wannabe mix. Margaritas: 10/10, would sip again. The Shrimp and Grits, though? A Southern tragedy. As a longtime fan of this dish, I was ready for a light, flavorful hug from the Lowcountry. Instead, I got a greasy, heavy mess where the shrimp played hide-and-seek--and won. Hard pass next time. We kicked things off with the cheese wedges, O'Charley's claim to fame and the whole reason my wife dragged me here. They delivered, all gooey and glorious, like the comfort food equivalent of a warm blanket. The rolls, though? Usually the stuff of legends, but tonight they showed up fun-sized. Liz, bless her, kept the tiny carb parade marching to our table, so no complaints there. In short, O'Charley's brought the vibes with killer apps and drinks, but the main dishes need to get their act together. Liz, you're a star--keep pouring those margaritas!
