Veggie hash with scrambled eggs and biscuits
    Alyssa M.

The biscuits here were delicious and so buttery! The hash was pretty good, though not my favorite. The ambiance is alright, just a typical chain breakfast place. The service was great and my family all loved their food as well.

We got here before it became overly crowded. Drinks served right away but then the train came off the rails. After perusing the menu for a little, Queen Bee chose Rise & Shine: two over medium, sausage patties and fresh fruit, with biscuits as bread choice. I chose three meat & cheese omelet (no American) with hash browns and biscuits. So twenty seven minutes later, our chow FINALLY came out! Our dear server (Misty by name) got our orders mixed up/reversed. She apologized and added that it was so slow getting out because "there's a huge catering order going out. I was just so excited to see your food!" Good recovery by wryly telling us she wished "we had more grill space!" That said, Queen Bee enjoyed her little breffist. The fresh fruit and out around 18 minutes before all the hot stuff did, So we sat there quietly nibbling on grapes and sliced cantaloupe. Both were nicely in season too. Even tho she didn't want it, a small pile of "home fries" came along with her eggs and sausage. Blech! Limp little tater cubes with no flavor whatever. She ignored them... My omelet was a home run. Fluffy eggs just well set enough to firmly hold diced ham, diced bacon and sausage crumbles with just enough diced tomato and grilled onion to give it some pizzaz. Nice amount of provolone cheese in there with just a little shredded cheddar on top (I don't like American cheese, usually mixed with provolone as a filling). Hash browns were as good as those tater nuggets were awful. Four fresh, warm biscuits came out alongside our bountiful breffists. We each ate a half biscuit and the other three came home! I only give three stars because it should NEVER take almost a half hour for breakfast to come out even if it is Sunday morning. Misty was good on explaining after the fact and somewhat attentive otherwise. Not a bad server but not an overly great one either. Would we return? Probably if we had nothing else better to do.

Lovely newish BE! We stopped since we were down that way making a drop for a friend. The place was super clean and the staff was friendly. They were (At the time) Enforcing social distancing and not seating everyone together. Staff was wearing masks. We were sat and our waitress came over and took our order, She was friendly and efficient. We both placed our orders and our food came out quickly. I got myself the Pot Roast, because Bob Evans knows how to make pot roast. I was not disappointed. One thing you can count on at BE is fast and friendly staff, and we were not disappointed. If we're back in the area, We'll stop in.

Been here a couple of times and really can't beat the quality and quantity for the price. Started with rolls, biscuits and banana bread. Omg so good and everything fresh. They Even sell the bread at the counter for $4! You can't even make it for $4! I had the grilled chicken cobb salad. Lots of blue cheese crumbles and the salad was huge. I love the way they put the grill marks on the chicken. Everything yummy. My husband got the pot roast. He licked the bowl so I guess it was good haha! My father-in-law got the Alaska cod. He loved it. My mother-in-law got the chicken tenders with two sides. Looked great. We will definitely be back. Our server was very on point and friendly. Thanks for a great night!

Lunch was great! Have never been to a Bob Evans, as I'm not an out-to-breakfast person. My companion had an omelette; I wanted a fish lunch. The sole was so good, 2 nice-size filets, not fried or greasy; with 2 large sides, lots of choices. And bread choices! Rolls, banana bread or amazing biscuits! 2 of each and would have brought more. For $12 range. I'll be back.

The burgers are Wagyu Beef based and deeeeelicious! I ordered the Sonny Corleone which was the aforementioned Wagyu Beef topped with Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions....fantastic! Terri ordered the Speak Cheesy Burger which was the Wagyu Beef topped with homemade Mac and Cheese and then smothered with melted American Cheese....amazing. The fries were a notch above and their Onion Tanglers were thinly cut onions rings and one gets to choose from a large list of dipping sauces...we went with Bourbon BBQ and Disco Dip. The BBQ was a sweet sauce and the Disco Dip was a light brown gravy. Both were very tasty! The Prescription Lemonade adult beverages were veeeerrrry good as well, one Strawberry version and one Blood Orange. Service was excellent...and it was a quiet place. We talked briefly with the couple at the next table as they were also "dog" and "horse" people. Overall a great experience....I found out later that they also play classic movies in their back room for a definitely unique date night option for people.

Our waitress was extremely nice. She answered all of our questions, took her time and offered recommendations. It was almost like we were her only customers. HOWEVER...we were outside in front. Fairly crowded and very nice. UNTIL I had a dog come by and lick my hand that was near my lap. Totally unacceptable. WE DO NOT NEED DOGS out of control on a patio. Management should have a constant watch on them and perhaps put them in another section. Yes, I understand that the owners are ultimately responsible but Gigglewaters management can certainly enforce any dog rules. (if in fact they have any). This ruined a nice afternoon meal prior to a concert at the SHAMC. Would have been a 5 star but dogs licking your hand as you are eating brings it down to a 2.

To be fair, we were told by the manager to call, give them another chance to make it right etc. However, we didn't call and only gave them a second chance this morning with friends. The reason I didn't call to "make it right" was I want the experience I have at a restaurant to be organic, and not get special or specialized treatment because we made a complaint. Now, on to our adventure today. We (a party of 4) arrived around 1020ish and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty full, which was expected as it was a Sunday morning. The lady who seated us (not our waitress...tall with long dark hair) was very friendly, chatty, and funny. We appreciated her service. Our waitress was quite inattentive. We each got a cup of coffee, along with waters, iced tea, etc. Once we got our drinks and the orders were placed, we didn't see the waitress again until after the food was delivered (i.e., a very, very long time). The tall dark-haired lady finally came around and refilled our coffee/tea/water after they had all sat empty for 10+ minutes. The wait for the food was so, so, so long. We waited close to 45+ minutes for our food (nothing special, nothing fancy, straight up off the menu, no changes or alterations). This has not improved since the last time we were there and it is just baffling to me that it takes so long to get food out. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed enjoyed, however 2 of the 4 biscuits were so hard she could not cut them with the fork, and with very very great difficulty with the knife. The tops of the biscuits were soft and pillowy but the bottom were pucks. This time the eggs seemed to have been cooked properly My husband was not happy with the omelette he got, and they took that off the bill without us asking. She did mention that she could have another order put in for him but (and these are her words), "It would take about 15 hours for you to get your new plate of food." We declined a new order and thanked her for taking it off the check. I got a sandwich and it was fine, nothing special but also not awful. Our other friend got a full breakfast platter which he enjoyed. He said the pancakes were very fluffy. So, in this updated review, I have increased the stars for the food because it wasn't *as* awful as last time, but still problematic. The worst thing, which was an issue with our first visit, is the wait time for food. It is just too. dang. long. I look at a place like Lennys, where we would have been in, seated and eating by the time we got our first coffee refill (also much too long in a breakfast place.....just....have coffee ready??). We did note when we walked in there were only 3 servers for the dining room --- perhaps they were short staffed which is why we only saw our server 4 times --- once for drinks, once to take food orders, and once to check on food, and once to drop the check. It was the lady who seated us who had a great rapport with the table, who was cheerful and friendly who can take credit for the two stars in ambience. In the end, we gave them another shot. No one at the table was impressed. The kitchen is woefully slow. The service was inattentive. we will not be coming back.

When we walked in, we were quickly greeted. Place is still bright, clean and cheery. Interesting soundscapes type music piped in also. We were told we could sit anyplace as we entered. We did and sat at a booth with a very wobbly table. A moment or two later when Ginger took our order, she replied that "we were tryin' to fix that table yesterday but we didn't have a shim." M next time a word about not having us sit there would be a welcome gesture on their part rather than letting us move all our stuff to the next table. Anyway...coffee was kinda weak too. I usually don't bother with diner coffee as it's usually hit or miss. This stuff was the latter by far. Meanwhile we got the former with our food! Queen Bee chose a daily special: one egg, two pieces of French toast and two strips of bacon. I chose the country fried steak breakfast. Queen Bee's choice made her quite the happy camper. French toast she found quite delicious; well cooked rather than goopy or runny with a nice crisp to it. The egg was perfect over medium as asked. She even told Ginger what an over medium egg constitutes. Ginger replied "I gotcha honey" with a southern laugh. My breakfast meantime was quite lovely for the most part. Country fried steak was a standard Sysco truck frozen block of breaded, minced meat. It was properly cooked (as opposed to incinerated) and not greasy. The standout for this was/is the "country gravy." Country gravy oftentimes suffers from one of two problems... 1. Over salty from too much sausage and sausage grease. 2. Floury aftertaste because the cook can't make a proper béchamel. This stuff had neither problem and was one of the better country gravies I've had in recent memory if not ever. Meanwhile eggs were scrambled properly...not too loose, not too tight (more toward the latter than the former). The home fries were quite bland (no salt, no pepper or even a hint of paprika). I wonder if too many of the old folks living round here complained about 'em. Anyway, I added a shake of salt (gasp!) and some pepper. I chose rye toast as I usually do. When Ginger dropped off our chow I even asked if it was rye instead of whole wheat. She said yes with a smile, adding the only way she can tell 'em apart is by "looking for the seeds. Ya gotta be smarter than what ya work with." Finally, Ginger herself is a real hoot. She truly reminds me of a southern version of the NYC diner waitresses I remember from my younger years and decades in the Big Apple. Sassy, funny, and quite efficient, competent and knowledgeable. After we walked in, we weren't so sure about whether we'd return here ever again. However given the balance of today's experience, I'd say that when we find ourselves in the area and in need of a feed...Pete seems to have done well with this joint and I'd say his morning crew knows their stuff!
