We arrived and the place was packed. We waited about 15 minutes before we can seat. When the assistant manager finally came over, she asked if we needed braille menus because we are Deaf. Braille is for blind customers, not Deaf customers. Nice attempt at being helpful, but disability awareness and sensitivity training would go a long way. All eight of us were finally seated together, but the entire restaurant had a strong draft blowing from the ceiling. There wasn't a single spot away from it, and we were sitting there freezing. Service was noticeably slow. It took 15 minutes just to get eight drinks, and that was before we could even place our meal orders. I must say that I'm concerned about this BE location. At 10:00 am, the bathrooms weren't cleaned, tables in the dining room weren't cleaned and the carpet underneath the tables filthy. I noticed that the entire space had caution signs up due to the HVAC system. If BE is not making any upgrades, it would better to close the doors than to make your customers feel they aren't worth the effort to bring the restaurant up. This is unacceptable! read more

Our total experience at this Bob Evans was top notch. We were seated quickly, served promptly, the food was nice and hot. Our server was SO efficient and friendly. I'm not sure what to say and I was a bit reluctant to even leave a review, but staffing needs work. I called in an order on Easter Sunday; it started off interesting. The young lady on the phone ask what my name is, I say "Wayne," she immediately asked me how to spell it. Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but I thought I had a pretty basic name. She asked for my order, I asked for the steak tip omelette. She then ask me how I wanted my eggs cooked... I asked for clarification, she says " scrambled, fried, over easy?" Then I heard her talking to someone in the background, then she says never mind. I finally asked for pecan pancakes. At that point, I was told her that they couldn't put pecans into the pancake batter because it would contaminate the grill. This was the absolute first time I had ever heard that at Bob Evans. Bob Evans was actually the first place I had pecan pancakes and they've always mixed them into the pancakes for me. Out of frustration, I said I will call back. So I went to the restaurant just to make sure I wasn't speaking unclearly on the phone. I approached the register to place my order. This had to be the same young lady I spoke with because when she asked for my name, I gave her my middle name this time, also five letters in which I was asked how to spell it. This was after she seemingly spent around in a circle for roughly 15 to 20 seconds trying to figure out how to log into the register. I ordered and was told the same thing that they couldn't mix pecans into the batter. So they had to give me pancakes with a cup of pecans on the side. This entire review was simply because I was a little frustrated that you had someone so under trained and overwhelmed working the register when it wasn't that busy. I'm not sure how they would handle a busy day with this individual working there. To not know how to spell basic names while asking for names for orders, is a reflection, in my opinion, at the overall hiring process. I really liked this Bob Evans. I got a three meat omelet with hash browns and a biscuit. The omelet had sauted onions, ham, sausage and bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was delicious. The only down sides were that access to the front door is pretty awkward with ramps that run along two sides of the building. So if you park near the door you have to walk to the far corner of the building to get to the entrance to a ramp. Also Bob Evans did not offer any discounts to seniors. read more

Came here with my youth ministry to discuss church business, youth events, and to catch up. Our youth leader went to check us in, which we were advised to arrive at 11. During the check-in, we could hear that the manager, Angela was advised our reservation was for 10, but our leader stated otherwise. But no worries, Ms. Angela was able to move somethings around. We were left in the hands of Ms. Let's, who was a gem and great server. Everyone today there deserved a round of an applause for handling so many parties on a Saturday. We were able to place our orders, but there was a small hiccup with 2 of the omelet orders. Some items were either omitted or added and had to be sent back. We did not fault our server but the kitchen. Nonetheless, my omelet once it was corrected cane out perfect. I had the build your own 3-egg omelet, which included bacon, spinach and diced tomatoes served with roasted potatoes. Our servers name was Naketa Robinson. The food was phenomenal as always (probably because her sister was on the grill), but Naketa's attentive and personality made a usually annoying situation pleasant. This is one of the better Bob Evans. Restaurant is clean and the staff are all very nice. For what they do, the restaurant is good. They have some great family-size meal options during COVID-19. I wish they would bring back their spaghetti- it was so good. I would recommend the chain to offer more comfort-food options. So when I called the store, they told me that I ordered the 8 serves, not the 10. I told them that I ordered the 10, and I was missing 2 hams and Mac & cheese. They then proceeded to tell me to read the box and tell them what's written on the box. They box stated T-8 what was clearly wrong. So they kept telling me I ordered the 8 servings. So I told the manager I knew what I ordered and also how much I paid. So we went back in, forth then I remembered I took a screenshot of the receipt. So when I told him he asked me to text it to him. I love this place. The food isn't fancy, but dependable & more consistent than at the big diner just east of here. We've been going at least once a week, since before the pandemic shut it down. So the servers know us. The last time I went there, I was alone. Our server asked about my wife & I sadly had to report that she had pads away the day before. He sat down across from me and we talked for a while before he took my order. I didn't have much- pancakes and a slice of pie to take home. Then the server told me that he had paid for my meal, informed me of the two days he works, and invited me to come back when he's working, and let him know how I'm getting along. No "hello, welcome to Bob Evans...can I help you?...have you been helped?", none of that. The young lady at the front that was putting together to-go orders just kept on putting orders together. She knew I was standing there, she could've just looked up and said, "give me a moment". I hate writing bad reviews but this location has earned it and then some. Please excuse the typos and grammatical errors i'm just that upset and the lack of respect. I placed an order through the Bob Evans app not door dash or uber eats. When my wife arrived to pick up my order, it had been given away. The the manager not only told my wife that the order was gone, but they made her pay for it again after I already paid for it the first time. The problem was they gave my order to a delivery person (my guess is that they weren't paying attention). My wife then explained the issue and the manager just basically threw his hands up like he couldn't do anything. He finally called the store manager and the store manager has to walk the shift manager through returning a simple refund. 2 weeks go back and the charge still isn't reversed. My wife goes back to the store to inquire about what happened and the same incompetent manager that doesn't know how to issue a simple refund and he tells my wife to call your bank because it takes 3-5 business days. If I didn't know any better I would swear he was so dismissive to my wife because she was a woman. After I explain to him that it's 2 weeks and your 3-5 theory doesn't hold up then he conveniently changes the time to 12-14 days. After all that he basically pulls out some sheet say he zeroed the charge and his part is done. You charged me double for only ONE order which is basically stealing. Now I have to call and email and write all these letters to all these people just to get my money back. YOU KNOW WHAT? KEEP THE MONEY. I decided to dine at this Bob Evans location for breakfast for their Veterans Day meal deal. Once I entered this Bob Evans, I placed my name on the wait list and was advised there was a thirty minute wait due to the number Veterans that were dining. COVID-19 regulated guidelines were acknowledged, as well as social distancing. One hour later, I was seated at a booth. Once I was seated, I was advised there would be another thirty minute wait after I ordered my meal. I will have to acknowledge the hard work and excellent customer service that my waitress: Kychante "Kee Kee" Parker did during my dining experience. I thought I wanted something small like soup but I saw the chicken and waffles and just went for it. I'd rather chicken on the bone for chicken and waffles but these came with strips. The meal was tasty but I've definitely had better chicken and waffles. Probably should have gotten the soup or breakfast. Since it reminded me of IHOP, I should have known not to order dinner items. Asked for water and was served water in dirty mason glasses that had cream? Syrup? Still at the bottum of the glasses. 3rd. Ordered 2 meals. The whole breakfast and a basic farm breakfast thing. The eggs were requested sunny side up and over easy. Eggs were served way undercooked, not even any crispy ness, its almost. 4. Sausage patty was raw and undercooked, sausage links are still gray, with no grill or skillet or any sign of ever touching a griddle or pan. Kitchen and food quality definitely needs work. Breakfast out with the hubs is always a nice treat, but usually better when both of us are satisfied with the meal. Unfortunately, my end of breakfast was a real bust. The hubs ordered the Whole Hog and since he doesn't eat pancakes or French toast, I decided to take them from him and just order the Blue Ribbon Bacon so that I completed my meal. While the idea was good, the execution was not. Let me preface this by saying that my husband enjoyed his portion of the meal which was perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and home fries. My portion needed work. Both the French toast and pancake were undercooked. So much so that I still tasted the pancake batter, even with butter and syrup, and parts of my French toast were not cooked at all. The worst however, was the bacon. The description read: "...hardwood smoked bacon glazed with real brown sugar, honey and black pepper." What I got were strips of overcooked bacon, minus the brown sugar, honey and black pepper, but covered in syrup. Epic fail! Usually we go to the Double T Diner, but in an effort to 'revisit an old friend', we opted for Bob Evans. We won't be doing that again. But check on us frequently after putting in order. The food tasted as aspected, we got safe dishes (Pot Roast, Sausage Biscuits w/ Gravey and Everything Breakfast). No, everything was not perfect. I paid for my food and was late to pick it up due to a last minute distraction I have a 1 year old 4 year old and 14 year old. I arrived at Bob Evans @ 9:13pm not realizing it closes at 9 at all. My wife and I really like the food here at Bob Evans we tend to frequent this one in particular pretty regularly. We were in last night a Wednesday night and the place was not packed but it seemed there were more people in than I guess the staffing could handle. When my family of 5 walked in and had to wait for almost 10 minutes before we were seated. While waiting my wife remarked "This might not have been such a good idea" Because you can usually tell within the first few minutes of walking in to a place just how the experience will be. Unfortunately she was right. Once we were seated our waitress came over and took out drink order and we requested to me moved to a different table due to the fact that my youngest needed a booster seat and it was easier to have a high chair so we needed to move from our booth to a regular table. I asked our waitress for a high chair, it took her a few minutes to come back with our water and no high chair. I was still standing because my daughter (who needed the high chair hijacked my seat) When the waitress saw me standing she apologized and said she was trying to bring our waters and I guess she forgot about the high chair, No Biggie. We placed our orders and I asked for a specific bread that came with my my meal instead of biscuits, and my wife asked for biscuits. The waitress told us she would bring us a variety of different breads and biscuits to the table. Things were looking up right? Nope... The waitress did bring the specific bread I asked for but we had to ask for the variety she told us about, and when we got the variety there were no biscuits. The waitress informed us that they were baking and that she would bring some when they were done. More than halfway through our meal my wife brought up the fact that she still had no biscuits to the waitress and still never got them... sadly. Aside from being finished our meal before we were brought refills for our waters the meal in and of itself was great. Our waitress did disappear for a while and when my wife saw her again she said "does she have a coat on?" I told her that I didn't see her but if she smells like smoke when she comes over then you know where she was while we didn't see her. Low and behold when she came over to our table again, my wife confirmed she did in fact smell like smoke. As I stated in the beginning we like this place a lot... but the service this time was bad enough I that I felt the need to report. read more

Myself and a friend went for breakfast. As I walked through the front door I was still struggling to get my mask on but I had it in place in less than 5 seconds. Then we were greeted by a rude lady who informed me my mask must on before I ever walk through the front door. She saw me trying to get it on. Then she just left us standing there. I'm sure those few seconds mattered immensely before an other minute passed and we were sitting at a table where we could take the mask off again. We turned around and left.
