We attended the boathouse restaurant November 7, 2025 6 PM. Our waitress was Jennifer. She was absolutely fabulous. Rehearsed the specials twice very respectful gave us details on how food was prepared and what the seasonings were the sides that accompanied the entrées. very polite and professional. The food was excellent. We had the chicken special Mediterranean seasoning very good, one person had fish and chips very good and also the halibut dinner everyone at the table rated their food highly delicious and cooked well. First of all, I must say that the food tasted very good. My New York strip did not look like your typical strip it was all flattened out but did taste good. The drinks on the other hand were very overpriced. We had 3 adults and one child that got a kid's meal, and my wife just got a wedge salad. We came here for the Sunday afternoon concert series and sat outside. The outside terrace has a beautiful view of the river and we could hear the music really well. The edamame was really good. They do it well here and all around Stuart FL. I got a salad with grilled Mahi that came with 2 large pieces. It was a decent salad but nothing amazing. The bowl was hard to manage so I put it all in to the bigger bowl it came with and it worked out just fine. My husband had the sushi and said it was good. The service was very good and attentive until they got slammed. They did try to recover from it but I could tell it was not what they expected and staffed for. Since we were not in a hurry and at the end of our lunch, it was not a huge problem for us. Several people had their dogs with them so I know it is dog friendly on the patio. read more

This was a pretty good experience - the food was pretty decent. The indoors in the evening definitely is for adults since it has a bar near the dinning room. The outdoor is the best seating. They have fans on the palm trees which kept the evening cool considering it's the middle of summer. Service was pretty good. Host was very helpful and informative. read more

Food is creative and delicious. The location is awesome. But, like what's trending in the industry is 18% gratuity charge and CC surcharge. I'm against both even though I pay cash. The server went out of her way to tell us that 15% goes to her and 3% to the bar and we are free to tip more. No S**T. So if I get crappy service I'm locked into 18% reward? TIP means To Insure Prompt service and technically should be done when you are seated. To add insult to injury they kept the change owed me and just gave me back the bills. That takes balls. OH, Boathouse!! What have you done to my favorite Spinach Beet Salad!?!? I brag about this place to friends and visitors as a must-go; the view is fantastic. However, today the spinach was wilted, fishy cucumbers and almost no beets, and what happened to the goat cheese? My blackened shrimp was laminated with seasoning, and my salmon was not much better and, indeed, not fresh! Today's salad would be on par with Flanigans frozen salmon iceberg beet salad. Everyone is allowed a day off, but please bring back the quality I've fondly bragged about you. Regarding service, three servers walked by with no greeting, no water, nothing. After 5 minutes, I had to call over another server who happily brought me a glass of wine and ordered my food promptly. He was rewarded graciously. I noticed at the end of our visit that an individual who uses a scooter was declined to participate in the happy hour specials because they were told they must sit at the bar. This place needs to check the ADA Law and know that every individual is entitled to receive the happy hour benefits just like anyone else. I will not be coming back. Absolute disgrace. My mother ordered fried cod. After the plate came out we noticed a putrid smell with the wind, further, we began to notice a slew of blow flies. She sat us almost immediately We lucked out with the friendliest waiters "Rio" you could tell he was enjoying his day while doing a terrific job. We ordered off the lunch menu: Grilled Shrimp wrap with Asian slaw you pick the side chips,fries or slaw was yummy. Our side was fries & they gave generous portions on both the wrap & side. We ordered two flatbread pizza's 1 White clam pizza- my husband said it lacked clams & flavors 1 steak & mushroom pizza-the steak was nice and tender it was so delicious with the balsamic glaze on top we all sampled and agreed it was a winner for the flavor. Street or parking lot parking allows for up to 3 hour limit for free. My wife and I love the Boathouse, we've been going there for a few years now. The service is always great, the view is so nice, and the food is consistently really tasty. (Except the clam chowder.) To spicy and did not taste anything like clam chowder. BUT... The rest of the food we've had has been very delicious indeed. Sitting outside this time of year is very enjoyable, if you're old they have outside heaters. Our server Bri was awesome. Friendly, attentive and taking care of everything and anything special things we needed with a smile and great attitude. I was looking forward to dining at the Stuart Boathouse on my recent girls trip to Hutchinson Island. It is located on the water in downtown Stuart and they have lots of dining space inside as well as outside on the covered patio. We had reservations for six people on a Thursday night. We arrived about 30 minutes early and the restaurant was not able to accommodate us yet so we decided to go to the bar and wait. At the bar we ordered cocktails, and our friendly server, Ryan, talked us into just staying and eating at the bar. For my first drink I had the Banana Bramble which was made with banana purée and rum, and had a yummy ginger flavor. It was quite good and reasonably priced at $13. Others in our group ordered some martinis and wine. We also ordered a few appetizers to share: edamame and a spinach dip with crab. I really liked the edamame. The pods were coated with a yummy glaze and sesame seeds; however they were kind of messy. My friends had the spinach-crab dip and they said it was just ok. They liked the flavor but said it was kind of soupy and wouldn't order it again. For our entrees I got the Boathouse Burger with cheese which was $18. It was good; but nothing special for the price. It came with fries which were pretty good. I also ordered a draft beer, Islamorada Key Lime. It was nice and cold but I really didn't taste any key lime flavor. I drank it; but didn't really enjoy it much. (I even double checked with Ryan to make sure I got the correct beer.). I wasn't too thrilled to see that it was $7.50 on my bill either! My one friend ordered the mahi sandwich because she had been craving one all day. She was really disappointed and said the fish definitely tasted like it had been frozen; not fresh at all. Another friend had the stuffed shrimp and she really liked them a lot. All food came out as ordered and reasonably fast. Overall I enjoyed my time at Stuart Boathouse....it just didn't live up to the high expectations I had to start with! read more
