Me and my spouse absolutely love this restaurant! Its one of our "treat" restaurants we don't go out for dinner often so when we do we are super picky about or little treat. The food is outstanding and I've never taken a bite that's not followed by an OMG! Heaven! the atmosphere is just like Stuart, laid back but stylish. Great freindly staff and conveniently located right by the down town waterfront stage. I highly recommend the Stuart boathouse! read more

We stopped in for a drink at the bar for happy hour because the view is so nice. When the bill came there was a 2.00 charge for ice per drink! The bartender said that with ice it's a bigger pour. We've NEVER heard of that before! read more

Sunday morning breakfast - very decent meal. I had a Bloody Mary, although I was tempted by the $5 Mimosas. I had poached eggs Florentine and my hubs had the corned beef hash. My eggs were poached perfectly and I clean the plate. Hubs was very happy with his corned beef hash, which was just the way he liked it. The service was fast and sitting out on the deck was lovely, a cool breeze and bright sun. We took a long walk along the water and finished with exploring the open air craft market. read more

Cuban sandwich was awful! Bun was old and so dry it crumbled. All of the meat was dry and flavorless, too. Server even noticed, but all she did was offer an apology and to bring more mustard. I know this wasn't a place to order this, but I really wanted one. Take it off the menu! Such a disappointment. read more

Great views. Terrible service. Food was slow and cold. Will not return. Slow to take order. Long wait for food. Both my wife's tacos were cold and my meatball was cold. Cooked ok so must have sat in kitchen a long time. To add insult, the French fries we both received were too cold to eat. Wife ordered Cole slaw and got French fries. Arrived at 6:10 on a Wednesday night and was promptly seated. That's all that was prompt. We madE our selections for dinner and server disappeared for quite some time. Salad came out in reasonable amount of time, but who puts tomatoes & cukes in a beet salad. Rest of food arrived. The flatbread was burnt on the bottom and was sent back. We had to find someone to ask to return it. Did not want to wait another 30 minutes for another to come out of kitchen. The lobster sushi roll was so large that eating in one bite was impossible. Lazy prep of contents. We had to leave table to locate server to get check. Paid and got out. Needless to say, save your money and eat elsewhere. Poor service and mediocre food. read more

My wife and I tried the Boathouse for the first time yesterday, February 9, 2017. We had lunch with two of our friends and we sat outside overlooking the water. My wife and our friends all had salad entrees and they really enjoyed them. I had a Mahi sandwich (grilled) with French fries and it was outstanding! Even though this establishment only earned 3 stars on Yelp we decided to try it because of the location. We sat outside, enjoyed the view, and we were well taken care of by our server, Jenna. Good food, service and view. For me those are great reasons to come back again soon. read more

I went to have a meal at the Boathouse with my family and I'm saddened to say that this was one of the most unenjoyable visits to any restaurant that I've ever had. The service was lacking, the waiting time for food and drink was unbelievable. The meal began with our Pina Colada tasting bitter, then when we ordered a replacement drink, it took nearly 20+ minutes for us to even be told that the blenders were apparently being washed, hence the hold-up. Once we finally received the replacement drink, it tasted fairly similar to the first. Afterwards, we placed our order, then began our waiting game. As we were waiting, we ordered a new drink, which we ended up having to go to the bar directly for: our server never brought it. Nor did she bother much with checking on our table, which left us all just sitting there even when we had needs. Once the food finally arrived, after a 50+ minute wait for it, the quality was extremely disappointing. Bland, hardly warm. The presentation was beautiful, I'll give it all that, but the quality of food was nothing I expected for how long we had waited. I ended up sending my own food back, because it was so tasteless and borderline cold. I chose not to order anything else, though the server did offer as soon as I sent it back. As did another woman, who I assume was their manager. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone - at least not after my first impression and experience. read more

View of the river is very nice. Service was good. Escargot was salty and the puff pastry was cold and soggy. Not your traditional escargot by any means. Good happy hour. I stopped at the escargot so can't speak to the entrees. Nice deck for enjoying the sun. When I got the bill there was an added $3.00 charge for up on my Stoly $5.00 happy hour drink. Where to start... was walking by the Boathouse one day with my wife and checked out the menu. It looked nice... atmosphere looked nice. We had friends coming from out of town in a few weeks we thought we would take them here... Well friends arrive want to take us out its their last night of a very short trip. So we bring them to the Boat House. Food was absolutely horrible! They did give me a fair amount of snapper and I wish they hadn't... I felt bad because our friends were paying the bill and this place isn't cheap. So, I ate as much as I could suffering through every bite of this horrendous meal. I didn't want be ungrateful and complained about my meal to my friends or not eat it, but I couldn't... I left a pile of food on my plate and left in disgust.... What a waiste of money this place is. I can only figure that this place is wildly inconsistent. It's on the water, which is a big plus, and it's not horrible, which is unusual, so why so many bad reviews? I've had excellent service both times. Some of the food is great (the Mac and cheese is $4) some is ok, and almost all of it is expensive. Which is ok. This is Florida. And it is on the water. The fact that it's not horrible gets it an extra star. High prices lose it one. read more

Great location, nice atmosphere, but the food was ordinary with small portions and a big price tag. The salad was good but nothing to stand out with very little blue cheese. The Hamburger was overcooked with the smallest piece of lettuce despite the request for extra lettuce. The fried fish sandwich was tons of batter; the fish was nice and juicy inside. The flatbread special was a mushy concoction of meat and sauces. After our lunch we wanted to use the rest room only to find a line. There is only one private stall each for men and women. A definite Meh. Nothing wrong per se, but the food was pretty bland overall -- I think they're catering towards the lowest common denominator with safe flavors. It's certainly in a nice location by the water, and you're going to pay for this in your food prices...but I just don't think the food warrants it. I probably won't be going back. read more

Mistakes on order. Not as great as menu descriptions, especially for the price. It was a beautiful view, dog friendly, & good drinks.

I continue to be disappointed here. 3rd time was not the charm. Tuna poke appetizer sits on a brick of cream cheese, ewe, waited 1 hour for cold food that smelled fishy..... Over seasoned pasta, ugh. Waitress wasn't much better - didn't know menu, didn't know beers on tap, poor time management. The place needs real F&B manager to get that place shaped up. On the other side, good happy hour, decent guacamole and chips and lovely view. My recommendation go for happy hour and then go to Riverview for dinner!!! Literally stumbled upon this restaurant while in Stuart for a wedding and made a long weekend of it. Stopped in with friends and sat at bar waiting 30 min for a table of 4. Fun LARGE drinks $9.95 yummy! Sat to eat and honestly it's a bit eclectic for my taste, and for what was served, a bit pricey in my opinion. A $15 tiny crabcake with some kale, $4 side of truffle fries....I would do appys and cocktails there with the best water views before I would do dinner there ever again as it was $180 for 4 and I was still hungry when we got home. read more

Overall it was "OK." A couple things i had an issue with was how loud it was! The music was way too loud and people were having to talk extremely loud to hear each other during lunch. Another problem would be the food was just a little too expensive for what youre getting. Lastly, there is only one toilet and if people are drinking they have to pee more often, nobody wants to wait in line! So, I decided to give this restaurant another shot 7 months after my previous post,this time with my husband and two children. I ordered a salmon sushi roll that was $12 and It only had about 5 pieces... It wasn't fried or anything, just a basic roll with rice on the outside. It was a delicious roll but $12 for 5 TINY pieces and no side. I was so disappointed. I ended up ordering a bowl of clam chowder because that just wasn't enough food to be considered a meal. We also had about a 10 minute wait before a waiter approached us for a drink as well as the couple beside us. I don't think we will go again. read more

Had lunch there Saturday..got there at 11..three other tables were seated...so they weren't slammed...service was VERY SLOW..the waitress took our order but then it was like we were forgotten...appetizer of Carpaccio should not take over 20 mins to come out...we got our other dishes about 25 mins after the appetizer..food was not worth what they charge. We ordered: (food only, had water to drink) Carpaccio: not the traditional dish...filet with arugula and a olive oil and lemon drizzled on top..and like 3 pieces of grated parmesan...menu said it had fried capers and when I asked the waitress she said oh they must have forgotten i will go get them...6 minutes later she comes back with them..I understand that everyone wants to put their own spin on things but some things are just wrong...you need the briny flavor of the capers to cut some of the fat and give the dish that salt that it needs...the fried capers dont taste like capers at all...and the fact that they are fried just adds more oil in your mouth...also doesn't come with any toast $14 Crabby Crab Cake: It was filled with lots of crab (mine did not have any lumps just back fin meat) and not much filler which is hard to find, needs some seasoning...very bland...citrus aioli under the crab cake was good...served on a wooden plank...which is odd since it had a very small kale salad (just kale) on the side with dressing that was just soaking into the board..again..their spin...but some dishes need a plate $15 Cuban Sandwich: was a sandwich..fries were better than the sandwich...not special enough to warrant the $16 price tag Total bill for lunch...$47...and we were there over an hour... read more

We went there for my nephew graduation and it wasn't a good experience. Location is awesome but food taste like bar food. My niece order a steak medium and came out well, chicken wings are ok, my daughter kids pasta look like water down tomato sauce, and shrimp taco were overly breaded with no flavor.
