So I noticed this place only had 12 reviews! I thought I'd offer mine. Arrived for breakfast, 11am on a Saturday. Seat yourself. Very quiet atmosphere. Pleasant greeting. Cleanliness okay though there was some food on the floor near tables that servers walked past numerous times. Ordered coffee and OJ. No spoon at the table. Not a big deal if you're trying to save on washing utensils but bring one with the coffee. Stirred my coffee with my knife. Improvise, adapt, overcome. Ordered 2 eggs over medium (a good test for any cook as most get it wrong), corned beef hash and well done English muffin (another good test). Eggs were perfect. Muffin was perfect. Hash was steaming hot, eggs warm. Overall, impressed. They do take credit cards now too. read more

It's just too dirty for me. I'm sure every restaurant has dirty things that go on behind closed doors but I watched the waitress touch money, then touch my food meaning she put the lettuce on the sandwich.. I was contemplating not eating it but I did anyways... the cook touched his phone then touched food and again Im sure this goes on in kitchens everywhere but place was just a little too dirty for me. Tough crowd!! I swear boattown willys "Willy burgers" are better than Travis burgers, I know.. fighting words but I am absolutely Impressed with the sliders. Fresh, steamed bun, grilled onions- I always get extra - ask my husband about my breath lol, REAL shoestring French fries and none of that breaded bullcrap, the place is a greasy spoon breakfast/early lunch place, so go in with that knowledge and you'll end up liking this place. I will NEVER darken the doors of this establishment again. The rudest foul mouth server/owner ever needs to find a line a work that is NOT customer service. Thought the first few times she was just having a bad day, but after a year of once a month going; my tipping and politeness to this person had zero effect. Really good food and very close to home. If you are ever in Harrison Township definitely order a carry out here. I always have gotten a Buffalo Chicken Wrap as well as a side of fries. They put their fries in a brown paper bag and they are always fresh and taste so damn good. This place has gone down hill fast! We used to go here all the time, now its just a last resort. It has so much potential, and no one is utilizing it! I placed a carry out order and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes, I showed up 30 minutes later like any normal person would waiting for there food I sat in there dining room for a hour about 20-25 minutes after sitting in there dining room and already being told it would be ready when I arrive, I looked over at the waitress (older women glasses blonde streaky hair doo), asking if my order was ready I mean yet I was already waiting for a total of 40 minutes at this point she looks at me with a look of disgust and proceeds 'we'll if your carry out was ready you wouldn't still be sitting here would you' I reply 'no I wouldn't be and my food would've actually been on time huh but yet here I am' she replies 'it's clearly not done yet' I look over at her 'yeah how much longer do you think' she goes 'what.. Live close by and had never been to this restaurant yet, Sunday afternoon I figured we'd try it. Restaurant isn't the cleanest, I've never waited that long for food anywhere. My husband and I ordered biscuits and gravy, mine came cold I sent them back and when his came they had "warmed it up" so his biscuits were hard. The eggs and hash browns didn't taste good, my daughters pancakes finally came out when myself and husband were about done eating. $46 and I wasn't one bit impressed. There isn't a lot of great options in this area for breakfast or basic quick serve family food... but this place is not the solution. The staff is pleasant but everything else from the rocky parking lot to the atmosphere and of course the food doesn't even rival a coney island. I am sad to say that I will no longer be going to this restaurant. I have been kicking myself for weeks for not speaking up a few weeks ago when I brought a friend of mine there for a birthday breakfast. Her and I believe in supporting the local small guys and I often go here for breakfast. I usually see a very nice young blond girl working who has always seemed to be in a good mood, very friendly and helpful. She seems to be around my son's age, and he's 19. However she could be a bit older. On this particular day, we went in ready to enjoy a great breakfast in a nice quiet place that we could enjoy talking and catching up with one another as we are both very busy mom's, but the minute our waitress walked up to our table I knew something was not right.The normally bubbly young lady showed signs of sadness and stress. I mentioned to my girlfriend that something is not right with the waitress. I explained to her how bubbly she normally is and mentioned she looks like she's having a really bad day, and at this point, it's only 9:00 a.m. At this time, there is only one other couple having breakfast at another table. As we continue to to celebrate my friends birthday we keep hearing someone constantly shouting at our young waitress. This older woman is constantly yelling at this young girl for everything that's not up to her liking in the back. It's not in a way of teaching a young girl to be successful in the future. This woman was a BULLY!! She was clearly an Alpha male type of person. It was breaking our hearts seeing this young girl being treated like this. For a few minutes my friend and I as parents, thought maybe the older woman was the owner, and that was her daughter. We figured mom was fed up with her daughter, and she was carrying it over into the work place. As mom's, we could see that happening. As christian woman, we know the damage that was taking place in raising up a successful, respectful, strong woman. The more we heard the worse we felt. So when we were leaving and I went up to pay, I asked the young girl, " Is that woman your mother or just your boss?" She replied with, "She's my boss!" I couldn't believe it!!! I told her, "I thought that, by the way she was talking to you, she must be your mom." I also told her she's better than that and I hope that her day get's better. I went on out the door from there. I often feel as though I should have been a voice for that girl that day. My friend and I spoke more as we drove away. I have often prayed for that young girl. I pray she realizes she's better than that. I pray her parents are not making her work there. And I pray she finds a great job with a great role model. I also pray she speaks up to her parent's about the way this woman treated her, and that her parent's listen. I understand there's two sides to every story, and that maybe the boss is fed up with things we may not have seen. But I also know what I saw, and heard was not acceptable in my book. I was a manager and I never spoke to people like that. So no matter how much I enjoyed breakfast there b4 this day, I will not be back. The one star is only for the food and the waitress. Both of which were great! The cash only, the building inside and out, and that woman, all need major changes. read more
