We recently completed a whole house remodeling and addition project and had a great experience working with BNO. As first-time homeowners taking on a project of this scale, we were honestly a bit overwhelmed at the start and knew we needed a contractor we could fully trust. From day one, BNO made the process feel manageable and brought our vision to life. They were patient, open to our ideas, took the time to explain each step, and helped us feel confident in the decisions we were making. Once we started physically seeing things come together, BNO was receptive to our change requests or additional work at fair costs to do what's right and what's best for the house, especially as it was not just a flip but planned to be our forever home. They ensured things were built the way we wanted and that we were happy. Throughout the project, BNO was professional, responsive (especially to our millions of questions) and transparent about the scope, timeline, and costs. They guided us through design choices and their quality of work really stood out. Communication was consistent, and we always knew what was happening and what to expect next. Like any large project, there were some bumps along the way but what stood out was that whenever an issue came up, BNO was proactive about finding solutions and focused on moving things forward rather than letting problems stall progress. They handled challenges responsibly and made sure we were satisfied with the outcome. Most importantly they orchestrated all the city inspections and always passed with minor comments, if any, that were easily addressed. Invoices always came when expected and never before the milestones were met. Overall, we're very happy with the results and especially grateful to have worked with a contractor we could trust for our first major remodeling experience. We finished in a little less than a year from demo to final which is very reasonable for the amount of work we did. We would absolutely recommend BNO to anyone considering a home renovation or addition. read more

BNO Builders did a fantastic job on our home renovation. Nestor, our contractor, was a knowledgeable and compassionate professional who walked us through the whole process from the start to finishing the smallest details. He made sure everything was done to a high standard. The workers were all very respectful of us and the property. And they finished our whole townhome faster than any of the other contractors quoted. We would choose BNO over and over again so long as Nestor would be our contractor. We put our full trust in him, and he came through every time. read more

We added a brand new bathroom to the house with BNO and they went above and beyond. We made our master bedroom smaller and took up a closet of a different room so we could add a second bathroom to the house and increase the size of our walk-in closet. Nestor Cabrera was our project manager and was professional, responsive and transparent throughout the whole project. I appreciate that their estimate included a comprehensive list of the work that would be done and the payment schedule, so we knew exactly what to expect throughout the process. They had an in-house architect work with us to draw the plans and a an interior designer to help us pick finishes as part of their service, whereas many other companies quoted us extra for that. Júlio and Rogélio who worked on the construction itself were phenomenal. They consulted us on every decision that wasn't obvious, so nothing was a surprise. As a designer, I loved their attention to detail. We have a family member who works in the luxury construction space and every step of the way, he was impressed with the quality of their work. They kept the workspace extremely clean and were super respectful of our space. It was a pleasure to work with them. You could see how much they cared in little gestures, like making sure our kitten didn't escape when they were coming in and out of the house. As any construction project, there were unexpected things that came up. We have an old house and it's located in a flood zone, so that slowed us down a little bit. However, BNO worked with us to overcome those obstacles while sticking to our original budget. We love our new bathroom so much! TLDR: professional people who are easy to work with, high quality work, and reasonable prices. read more

We've worked with Ben Giat before on a complex retaining wall project. Since then, he's launched his own company and we recently completed another piece of work with them. It involved rerouting pipes to the street and as per city permits we needed to cut open a large portion of the sidewalk and pour concrete and asphalt to finish it. BNO builders worked in a timely manner, worked clean and were thoughtful in making decisions on how the pavers would be finished. They were all very pleasant to work with and we are very happy with the results. We highly recommend BNO builders and Ben and his team. Will definitely be using them again. read more

We hired BNO Builders to remodel our kitchen and family room. From the very first meeting, Omer our Project Manager was very professional, thorough, and straightforward with us. He went over all the options and patiently answered all our questions. The design experience was excellent. The designer listened to what we wanted and was able to capture it in his design. Throughout the remodel, Omer quickly took care of any issues we experienced. The crew did amazing and quality work and I believe the final product looks even better than the design. I highly recommend them for any of your remodeling projects. read more

We went with BNO builders to redo our deck this year. It's on the third floor (we are against a hill). Nestor helped us with everything and was amazing from the beginning. He came and took a look at everything, was very thorough and made a few recommendations at a variety of price points, helping us understand the pros and cons of each. I already knew I wanted to go with BNO because his communication was so honest and clear, but in addition they also had the best priced quote! It was a no brainer. They were wonderful to work with, finished the job quickly, and even addressed issues that arose as they went along (ones that were not their fault). For example, one of the stairs going to our bottom level was cracked before they arrived, but they fixed it before they left. Incredible service and attention to detail. I'm excited to go with BNO and Nestor again for my next project! read more

I hired BNO Builders for a full house renovation of our tired 1960s home and they turned it into a modern and awesome place to live. This was our first time remodeling and Omer Milner held our hands through the initial planning and budgeting phase and remained available throughout. The design process was very smooth, every inch of space was considered, rooms I re-imagined and the perfect finishes were chosen with their designer as part of the design process. During construction, my project manager Omer was great: everything ran on time, I received weekly updates and there were no surprises. The craftsmanship was everything I hoped for and the team followed up with me until every detail was perfect. I recommend BNO to anyone looking for a contractor in Contra Costa county- they are professional, friendly and helpful and will do anything to make sure you are satisfied with their work. read more

They redid my asphalt driveway to concrete driveway. The condition of my asphalt was pretty bad with huge potholes. They gave me a quote that was very competitive to replace my driveway with new asphalt. It was so good that I inquired how much to do concrete because I originally didn't think I could afford it. But in the end, the concrete pricing with the financing through another company made sense for us to do the work with them. Nestor sent me the contracts and quote in a timely manner and any discrepancies and questions were answered or dealt with quickly. When the time came to do the work, it was delayed because of waiting for 411 to mark the water and Pge lines. But when the work started, it moved along quickly and completed in the timeframe they said. The completed driveway looks great. read more

We had been working with a landscape architect and his contractor for a little over a year. They always had a reason why they could not seem to start our project. The timing was always off so we had enough of their excuses and fired them.... We interviewed 3 other contractors including BNO Builders. BNO was a breath of fresh air. Ben and Omer were very easy to talk to and work with on the project. They presented us with a bid and time line that was acceptable. They agreed to the very specific parameters that had been set forth for this project. They started and completed our outdoor concrete, BBQ island, entertainment area, 2 pergolas and landscaping within the projected time. Ben communicated clearly and made recommendations on how the pergolas should be built of which we are very happy with the outcome. Their guys were always on time and very professional. The outdoor project turned out much better than we anticipated. We would not hesitate to use BNO Builders on our next project. read more

This was our best experience so for with any Contactor we had before. From our first discussion with Dima we felt we are in good hands, the whole project we just watched and enjoyed. They remodeled our backyard and kitchen, they are perfectionists when it comes to finishes and respecting your house. Everything was properly covered/sealed. The crew cleaned every step of the way, since we still lived in the house I really appreciated it. The design process was fun and easy, we visited multiple showrooms before deciding on everything. If you are looking for professional, kind and knowledgeable contractor look no further. Thank you to all BNO Builders team! read more

I interviewed multiple contractors to provide an estimate for my Project. I contacted BNO Builders and they sent out Dima the project manager. He provided me with a ton of valuable information, design ideas and how he plans to execute my project. Due to his professionalism which far exceeded the other folks we spoke with we decided to move forward with Dima and BNO Builders. Dima and his crew helped us select all of our tile, cabinetry, stone, flooring and all the other items for our kitchen remodel and 2 bathrooms remodels (guest bath and master bath). BNO crew is fantastic! They continuously worked on my project (minus waiting for inspections/materials) and got the job done before the estimated timeline! Super happy with the crews professionalism for the entire duration of project. These guys are the ones to go with. I'll be working with them in the future. read more

While searching for contractors for a kitchen remodel, we were contacted by BNO builders who offered to come and give us a quote. Not having done any remodeling since the purchase of our house in 1992, we were unsure of what to expect. Several companies were not interested in our smaller project and those who came to give a quote wanted to convince us to do a much higher end remodel than we were prepared to do. Nestor at BNO was willing to come short notice on a Sunday, took preliminary measurements, discussed what we wanted, made suggestions, and gave us company background information. He listened carefully to our needs and respected our budget restrictions. He sent photos of other projects they had completed, explained the process and sent a quote with are needs and additional options discussed. We narrowed the scope of work, were sent a revised quote and we approved. Once the work was started, the crew kept us informed on progress and made additional suggestions as things were discovered they felt we might want to consider but without belaboring the point. They were very responsive to our inquiries, the ensured that the rest of our house was protected, helped select flooring and counters and got everything installed in 2 weeks. Kitchen looks very nice. Great job, friendly and communicative, were able to answer all our questions. We are very pleased with the contracting process, the work and the customer service and interactions. Would recommend them to anyone considering remodeling, read more
