Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

He is very agreeable and was always willing to negotiate and perform reworks until I was satisfied with the result. That said, if your project is on the more complicated side like mine was, you should be prepared to take an active role in project management. The timelines did extend significantly beyond the original estimates, and I had to stay on top of the subcontractors to ensure the craftsmanship met my standards. It wasn't a hands-off experience, but because he is such an honest person to deal with and his pricing is so competitive, we got both projects to the finish line. A strong pick for those on a budget who don't mind being involved in the details. After working with many contractors in the Bay Area, I've found that the alternative is usually someone charging much more who promises a turnkey experience but can't guarantee it either. Knowing that tradeoff, I would hire Jay again - and already have.

What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

Estimated Time: 3.5-4.5 months. Wise met this timeline. Positives: Demo: Quick and efficient. They had the place cleared out in 2 days. Prior to demo, their team helped us move our large pieces of furniture into our storage pod. I consider this above and beyond helpful. Flexible: As they started the prep for electrical and plumbing, we made changes and add-on's. For any unforeseen issues, they were responsive. Media niche: The team built out the area exactly to my husband's design. The owner dropped by to view the project and gave us an idea on how to build out the space for our TV mount. We are happy with the result. Fire place: The stone ledger was installed by Oliver per the design. The final product is gorgeous. Kudos to Oliver! Bathroom: Although small, the demo process was challenging as we have a concrete subfloor. It felt like they were grinding for days to prep for the shower. Once we selected our tile, their installer (Jesus) helped us with the layout and it came out beautifully. Kitchen: The prep work for the cabinet install, plumbing and electrical was completed in a timely manner. Wise's cabinet installer, David guided the team through the install process. David is meticulous and skillful at his craft. Allen: This was my first large remodel project and I wanted to have a designer to help guide me through the process. Allen came out to meet us and learn about our style choices and helped us with the challenging process of picking a lot of materials. He kept a spreadsheet which we could update ourselves. I had inspiration photos and he collaborated with us to bring it all together. Allen's design drawings gave us true picture of the final product. So much so that we ended up changing our bathroom tile because we didn't like how it looked in the drawings. Allen was patient, helpful, responsive and has a keen eye for design. Areas for Improvement: Communication, Attention to detail, Slowing down. These things came up throughout the project and mostly corrected to our satisfaction. I will list a couple of examples: Flooring installation: We were considering having our floor vendor do the installation but the savings in our Wise bid was not that much and Aaron assured us that his team was experienced with installing engineered hardwood. We asked the team to pick the planks with the least blemishes and lay them in the open areas while the others could be installed under the cabinets or closets. I don't know if there was a language barrier during communication but my husband ended closely watching the team and picking out the planks himself. This took a fair amount of his time and shouldn't have. We also noticed in the front entryway that some of the planks squeaked and flexed. We could not accept this because it was in a high traffic area. The solution they came up with was to drill small holes and inject enough glue so that the planks would not flex. We were nervous about this but figured it would be better than tearing up a portion of the floor and reinstall them. Thankfully, it worked and there is only a tiny hole which is not noticeable. The ovens needed to be wired for 240V but was wired to 120V. This was clear in the oven's instruction manual. It was corrected. We purchased very expensive outlets for our kitchen island and requested that they be installed flush to the panels. My husband even sent a PDF with instructions in WhatsApp to be communicated to the team. Either it never made it to the team, or they didn't follow instructions. We couldn't redo them because the damage to the panels was not acceptable to us. A couple of cabinet doors had the wrong size hole drilled for the handles. I did map out each door with specific handle size. They corrected this at no cost to us. I created a final TODO/correction list after final inspection and they completed everything to our satisfaction. Overall I am excited with the final results, especially with my kitchen. The Wise team were cooperative, courteous and professional. See my before/after pics.

They provided a very fair quote, but we ended up having to put the project on hold. When we were finally ready to revisit it, they were willing to honor the original estimate, which we really appreciated. This is our first home and the first major renovation project we've undertaken, so we were a little apprehensive going into the process. We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. We're extremely happy with how the bathroom turned out and with the overall experience, especially for our first major home project. After another service removed the moisture and in the process gutted part of the kitchen and dining room, Gadir stepped in to handle the restoration. Right from the start, it was clear that he was on top of the job. He arrived the same day to assess the project and had shared an estimate within an hour. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. He was readily accessible and was prompt in responding to any questions. Gadir was sincere and committed and went above and beyond on the job. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. He needed to disassemble the garbage disposal to pull it out, and from looking at the screw, it was clear it wasn't one they had used. I will be reaching out to Gadir for future remodelling jobs.

We brought a sample of our siding to match it and the person helping us assured us it was the same and so we purchased the 30 pieces we needed. We loaded and brought home the wood only to find it was not the same exact size. We called back to try to rectify the issue but the person we spoke with was not very helpful and told us that was the only size they had and we have to pay a restocking fee if we requested to return the materials purchased. Needless to say our hands were tied and our contractor had to spend extra time to modify the sidings.

Top Home Builders are definitely one of the best home building company in San Jose. I'm really thankful that I hired them for my home extension. The place was a little bit lacking and we got a new member in our family so decided to make the house bigger. At first I contacted Ofer for consultation and I liked him so I okay'd the whole thing with him. As I thought of him, he was very punctual on his time. Came with all the necessary things for the construction and the likes. His crew was very good too. They worked very smoothly and there was not even a little bit discord between them. They worked very neatly, arranging all of their workloads in specific places and tidying things after they were done for the day. They kept the whole place clean with their expertise and carefulness. And they cleaned all of the dust after working too. They were in short the best working crew I have seen. And even when there were little problems with construction mostly on the house's side, I would contact Ofer on WhatsApp and he would respond and do something about the situation as fast as he could. This was a great help for our side because it didn't take much time for him to contact back. The other project manager Shahar was very nice too. He helped us with shopping the materials for not only the construction parts but also the design parts too. Thanks to his recommendations I could get very good building materials and nice looking wallpaper, paint, curtains etc. too. They dealt with the neighborhood problems because of the construction process and sped the work as much as they could. And they finished a bit faster than planned too. It took 2 months to complete the whole project and the 2 months they worked here didn't seem like a pain because of how good they worked. You can tell from their working that they are very experienced on their craft. I really liked them and I'd definitely hire them again if I need to do any other construction work. I had a fantastic experience with TOP H BUILDERS. My project was to remodel the entire house and they came in at the low end of the three quotes I got. Their great engagement and ongoing flexibility and understanding as I changed certain tasks throughout the project was very much appreciated. They gave me a designer for free (others wanted to charge 10-13k) and they listened to me throughout the project. Timings - outstanding speed, finished when they said they would. I recently had the pleasure of working with Top Home Builders on constructing an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The project manager, Ofer, was an absolute delight to work with. Once we started physically seeing things come together, BNO was receptive to our change requests or additional work at fair costs to do what's right and what's best for the house, especially as it was not just a flip but planned to be our forever home. They ensured things were built the way we wanted and that we were happy. Throughout the project, BNO was professional, responsive (especially to our millions of questions) and transparent about the scope, timeline, and costs. They guided us through design choices and their quality of work really stood out. Communication was consistent, and we always knew what was happening and what to expect next. Like any large project, there were some bumps along the way but what stood out was that whenever an issue came up, BNO was proactive about finding solutions and focused on moving things forward rather than letting problems stall progress. They handled challenges responsibly and made sure we were satisfied with the outcome. Most importantly they orchestrated all the city inspections and always passed with minor comments, if any, that were easily addressed. Invoices always came when expected and never before the milestones were met. Overall, we're very happy with the results and especially grateful to have worked with a contractor we could trust for our first major remodeling experience. We finished in a little less than a year from demo to final which is very reasonable for the amount of work we did. We would absolutely recommend BNO to anyone considering a home renovation or addition.

The owner, Dan, talked with us and I could tell right away he knew what he was doing and would do a great job. There was no high pressure sales tactic, just details as to what he found, what I needed, and what he would be able to do. The contract I signed was very simple, clear, and easy to read and understand. No complicated clauses or poring over fine print was necessary, which I very much appreciated. Pylon did three things for me: 1. Replaced a small section of fencing, putting in new wood 2. Replaced the main drain piping underneath the house foundation 3. Replaced a sliding glass door that was constantly getting stuck and difficult to open. Every one of these jobs was outstandingly done and at a very reasonable cost that was quoted right off the bat. There was no attempt to price gouge, use questionable practices or "hidden promotion" tricks to lower their price after the intial quote to pretend to give us discounts. As for the work itself, we are very happy with the new fence and door and the drainage that was an issue before now works very well. The old piping was obviously quite rusty and ready to go, so I am glad it all got done. I will be definitely contacting this company again for additional jobs later once my budget allows for it.

Ofir and Rene were communicative with the change orders (including some key recommendations like changing the flooring in the sunroom and upgrading the electrical panel to code) and very fair with pricing. We had a fixed budget initially and managed to stay within those bounds.
