We hired MS Construction back in May 2024 because our second story deck started to deform just two weeks before we were about to have a baby! I was very stressed about getting the work done for safety due to it being a second story deck but it also had to be done fast because of the new baby We called MS Construction and another company to estimate price and timeline. Mikhail came out basically the same day and said they could fit us in within the week. The other company quoted higher and took 3 days to even give us the quote! Recent storms had caused damage to two sections of the shared fence at my parents' house. One section was damaged and another section entirely fell down. We hired this service last summer to replace some sagging fence posts and a driveway gate. They spent 9 hours at our property. Many of those hours were spent resting beneath a gazebo waiting for concrete to dry. Our previous experiences have been with fence specialists who efficiently come and go, and this was mysteriously weird to us. Given the engineering expertise espoused, I am sure they think they are better than the "riff-raff" out there, but given their expensive price and slowness I would not hire them again. Overall not a great start. I asked the estimator to text me when he knew when he was going to stop by, he emailed me instead so I almost missed him. He parked in our driveway which was just a little odd, in case my wife came back and needed the spot. He measured the wrong length for the fence (Which I had measured myself), and I asked him to check it multiple times. He had a laser distance finder, but was out of batteries so asked me for some, just to confirm my measurements, and kept the batteries. I sent him the link so he could see my specific gazebo and he promptly provided me with a quote that beat all other quotes I received. Then we set up an installation date for 4 days later.
