I had quotes from several companies, and they were all pretty close in price, I liked the 5 step process they had on their website. They told me it would be several weeks to get to me deck since the weather/rain had really backed them up. Aaron was very helpful in moving everything off the deck, having back surgery, couldn't do anything. He then did the first 4 steps of their process. We were then at the mercy of the weather gods, needing at least 2-3 days without rain. He and his partner were here today, finishing up by nailing anything that was loose and laying down two coast of stain. It looks great. read more

Scott just finished re-staining our 1300 square foot deck. He did a great job! I got three quotes from three businesses and Deck Medic was very reasonable. I checked all the references he provided and they were all positive. Scott did everything in the cool of the morning/evening, took his time to do the job right, he walked with me after he finished to make sure he didn't miss any spots, and was very meticulous overall and of course, experienced with doing decks. I would NEVER use this individual under any circumstances. We agreed to have him do our 900sf deck. He apparently got a better opportunity as he pushed out our date 3 times in one day, insulted me and refused to answer when we questioned why, and insisted on speaking with my wife when he had poor cell coverage. He told us late in the day on Friday that despite our earlier agreement and our telling the other 2 folks we got bids from "no" that he would not do our deck at all. This is an unprofessional, rude, and unreliable individual with no personal integrity. We have another contractor on board now who has been responsive, timely, and who keeps his commitments. When we met Scott he was courteous and on time. We selected him over another company because our wood was old and the sanding would remove the pitting and ruts. The sanding turned out to be a very light "go-over" and left a lot of uneven surfaces. He also pressure washed, but after the staining we could see areas that still had green mold. We asked several times that he do in-between the deck boards and were assured they would be done, however, many areas were missed (see pictures.) Some areas were completely missed, only had one coat or had un-even coloration. They stained our balcony the wrong color and only realized it when we pointed it out. Several plants had stain on them from the spraying (they were supposed to be covered.) Scott was disorganized and jumped from area to area on our deck without any kind of sequential system. They rushed to finish this job as it was getting dark, so we were not able to walk around with him or point out any areas that might need going over. When we called and mentioned these concerns to him, he said in a not so courteous manner, "that as far as he was concerned the job was done." read more

The Deck Medic recently completed work on our very large (1600 sq ft) and old (22 yrs) deck which hadn't received regular maintenance for quite some time. The results have been amazing and both my wife and I never believed it could look this good again.
