What impressed us most was that they completed the job on schedule and met all expectations without surprises. They are reliable, knowledgeable, professional and all around awesome! Scot's masonry wizards are just finishing expanding a planter bed to allow for more plantings to hide our newly installed solar batteries (that had to be installed in a highly visible location in front of the house due to (arg) regulations on distance from windows/doors/walkways. The modified planter bed looks like it was always there! matched the bricks, replanted plants that had to be moved for the construction and also they noticed new high volume water leak in one of the hose bibs and Scot was able to send a crew out immediately to fix it right away. The project included complete demo of existing front and back yards, installation of new hardscape, grading the property and preparing the soil, installation of new irrigation and drainage systems, installation of new plants/trees with gopher baskets, addition of gravel and bark; the building and installation of an outdoor sauna, the installation of a fountain, the installation/planting of patio pots, and outdoor lighting. Throughout the project the communication was excellent. We were kept aware of which days the crew would be working on our project. They were always punctual. They were also quiet and mindful of our presence , in the home, as they worked outside. The quality of work was outstanding. Our finished landscape is beautiful and drought resistant. We've had numerous complements from our neighbors. We've even seen people stop their cars and take pictures. The outdoor beauty of our home exceeded our expectations! I think, however, the thing that has set this company apart is their customer service. We had a couple of small problems after the job was completed. Both times, Scot sent crew members out quickly and they were able to take care of the issues. One problem was a leaking drip line. The other was with the fountain. Other than that, everything is functioning well. The yard is a dream to both garden in, and enjoy. I recommend Jerry Allison Landscaping without any reservations! If I ever have the need for further landscape services, I will use them again. They are a fabulous company!

I had a quote in hand from a contractor we knew, thought it might be high so I started looking at other options. Tried to get multiple quotes from local Gilroy painters, only Tim responded and he also did excellent follow-up. Work was done very professionally; they spent a great deal of time pressure washing the trim and also cleaned the stucco exterior walls as well! Prep work done correctly is clearly very time consuming and Tim's crew was very careful to mask off and protect the areas not being painted. I think they must have used a ton of caulking as there were weathering and expansion cracks and gaps to be filled in the wood everywhere. Work was completed on 11/5/2021, looks incredible ! Trex, however, does have specific foundation requirements that support the boards and we needed our foundation updated. We met with 3 companies all of whom had good reviews/referrals. We chose California Fence primarily because of Bill. This may sound silly but part of the reason is because when he come over to meet with us and provide a quote, he was covered with dirt and sawdust, which reinforced what he was telling us - He is on the job working with his crew all day unless running out to do a quote. He listened to our needs and gave us experienced feedback. We had a medium sized tree which needed removing and killing, which he also did, and he needed to work around a gas line to our fire pit. We liked his attention to detail and his straight to the point matter. After answering our questions he immediately brought out his tape measure, little book and pencil and worked out a quote. His crew is composed of his family and a couple of family friends that have been working with Bill for years. They were all very friendly and respectful and seemed to share Bill's attention to detail. Bill and crew were always available to us and responsive to any questions we may have had. We were impressed with the quality of their work. When they were done we had a beautiful new Trex deck and the area was nicely cleaned up. We are very pleased and are happy to recommend California Fence.
