We were continually dealing with erosion on our property. We get a fair amount of rain, and minimal sun due to the many redwoods. We knew more or less what we wanted, but didn't know who to have build it. We liked what we saw on Crestline Construction's website, and reached out. Josh and Jessica came out the next day to get the info they needed to put a quote together, which we received a couple of days later. We made one change, and were good to go. The crew showed up on time every day. Really nice guys. They worked nonstop through the day, each day, and always left the site clean. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the end result is stronger than we could have imagined - posts set 4 feet into the ground, in concrete - while looking like a decorative element, rather than a structural improvement. The erosion control they added was beyond what we expected, as well. If you need a retaining wall, you can't go wrong with Crestline. They really know their craft, and are pleasant to work with. I live on a steep hillside, so I've had a variety of people out doing grading, retaining wall, drainage, etc work. Crestline completed a nearly 200+ foot long, 6 foot tall W beam & pressure treated lumber retaining wall for me. Due to the soils here, these required 8 feet deep, 2 foot wide piers. Crestline is the best: Prompt in quoting, scheduling and delivery Super high quality execution Made minor changes on the fly without charging extra (posts for yard lighting, adding a 6" row of PT on the steeper grade area) Made sure to not damage other areas of the property Extremely fair pricing and gave both their opinion & options Compared to an older wall, with the same engineering specifications, Crestline made several improvements: Lined up all the gaps in the boards by attaching the first row with structural screws leading to a nice even eye line all the way down the wall Evenly cut the W-beams across the top of the wall Treated the base of the W beams with corrosion protection paint Used 3/4 gravel instead of 3/8 so it stays behind the wall better Also Josh, the owner, is a TRACTOR WIZARD. If you need grading work, hire him to do it. He will get it done in 1/4 the time of anyone else! read more

When the winter storms caused a tree to fall, undermining our driveway with a good chance of complete failure if the rains kept eroding it more, Josh was able to get started quickly, working under short and adverse weather conditions, to put in strong new support for the driveway. Josh and his team were amazing! Bending to my crazy schedule even helping me out on a Holiday (memorial day) as I was in a bind to clear some land for a wedding. I have 3.1 acres with at least 2 of it completely overgrown. I called in Crestline to help me with a day of erosion control and land clearing and I have to say they were incredible. So fast and professional. I ended up asking them to work for another 3 days (at my request) and helped me clear out a retaining wall that collapsed and further remove some dead trees. I now have access to almost 90% of my property thanks to them. I will continue to engage them for a lot more work as their scope goes way beyond just clearing land. We hired Crestline to build a large retaining wall protecting our house from the wooded hill above our property. Josh was great about providing estimates for doing the project at several different levels of scale, and he and the crew were great to work with from start to finish. I had a hillside slide out this January. When that happened it destroyed and old retaining wall in my parking area. Josh and his crew removed the old retaining wall and a redwood stump, cut the hillside back 2' and installed a new 60' x 6' tall I-beam wall. The I-beams are 12" deep w 6x12 pressure treated beams in between. He stabilized the hillside with jute netting and seeded it as well as installing a 2'x3' catch basin w a 10" pipe under the driveway for surface drainage routing that down to the creek. Josh kept to his schedule and bid. He was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. His crew worked hard and kept the job clean. I highly recommend Crestline Construction! read more
