I'm in a wheelchair and our HOA hired them to put in a sidewalk access from my large living room patio to the parking lot in case there is an emergency and I can't exit through the front door. They did such a fantastic job that I hired them to also give me access from my bedroom patio to the parking lot. I can't stress enough how amazing Michael and his team are. For our fire rebuild in Boulder Creek we needed a complex hillside foundation on two elevations with 10" thick retaining walls on each elevation. This was a massive project that also needed to be very accurate to accommodate our pre-fabricated house panels. Michael stepped up and poured our foundation with no problems. Even when our engineer had a last minute change, Michael was able to shift gears and accommodate the new specs seamlessly. Any issues that came up were handled quickly and professionally. He seems to have an endless supply of funny stories and he may talk your ear off but his chill attitude really put us at ease during this stressful rebuild. read more

I Contacted Mike and he came out to my property to see the job site and discuss what I wanted (a large circular pad to accommodate a heavy water storage tank.. He provided his thoughts on the project and then an estimate to get the job done. Based upon my friends review and what I saw in other reviews, I accepted Mike's estimate and hired him to do the job. He gave me a date and time that the 2-day job would begin. He arrived on-time as did his workers. We recently hired Mike Crum for the second time for our home improvement projects, and will hire him again when the need arises. Mike Crum just finished a rather complicated driveway for us. It was a steep up slope, with post footings, and a compound curve to a side parking area. It was a two color pour with bands and curbs. The short of it? What a beautiful job. Mike is a real pro. One of the best contractors I've ever used, and he is very easy to work with. Mike turned my ideas, and drawings into reality. I liked his attention to detail, his excellent suggestions, the way he solved problems without any drama, and the way he worked with me to do our driveway the way we wanted it done. On our project Mike worked with his son, and a crew of 5 or 6, all of whom seemed skilled and well organized. Another thing I liked about this contractor is that he didn't try to nickel and dime me to death. He more or less stayed within the bid price (which was very fair) even after a number of changes. If he thinks something is not a good idea, or is something he really doesn't want to do, he might say, "Yeah, we can do that ... it's kind of expensive ... about another dollar a foot." Mike is very good at designing and helped me with a basic plan. I took his sketch included with the bid and did a detailed drawing using his ideas as a guide. I'm still a little surprised at how nice it turned out. If you want professional quality at a reasonable price, call Mike. Highly recommended. read more
