Adam and his team did our concrete 20 years ago, when we redid our entire yard. He and his team were the highlight of the project. We did a colored stamped concrete which has aged well. We had him come back and demo out some of the old work, add concrete to sections and pour a 400sq foot patio with travertine tile stones on top. He joined it perfectly with the existing concrete. We already had a design for curved concrete planters for our front yard from a landscape architect. Adam was very friendly and helpful in adjusting the original design to keep the appearance while being better suited to the site, as well as designing a barrier wall that solved a drainage problem in the same area. He also suggested changes to some walkways we wanted which solved two other drainage problems that we had while tying the whole project together esthetically. His crew did an amazing job of realizing the design with challenging curved walls, and the result was better than we had imagined. On top of that, watching the whole process happen in the yard was fascinating, particularly how quickly after pouring the crew removed the painstakingly built forms to create a great looking texture in the fresh cement. Adam recently replaced our driveway and walkways, and built an absolutely magnificent set of stairs from the street to the front walkway. I just read all the previous reviews posted here: it's fair to say we agree with everything said by other reviewers - especially that he and his foreman Juan contributed significantly to the design of the stairs. We would use Adam & company again, but with one caveat: I would make sure the contract was specific about site cleanup after the work was done. There were no major cleanup issues, but a number of minor, careless ones. Our opinion is that the job was probably underestimated vis a vis cost and/or schedule, leading to a lack of effort to restore the surrounding areas to their prior condition before departure. Some nagging on my part was necessary to obtain what still turned out to be minimal. We certainly feel we received a good deal, cost - result tradeoff. For what it's worth to the reader I wish I didn't feel the criticism necessary, but I promised Adam a review. read more

I recently did my second project with AC Bentley Concrete. Adam the owner is a stand up guy who says what he means and means what he says. He is always there the day he says he will be (which is something that I have not experienced with all contractors). So no doubt the company is organized and delivers. On a separate note; the quality of work is some of the best I have seen. We went with stamped concrete and the pattern and the color turned out to be exactly what we had hoped it would be. They let us take many different color chips that we laid out to help us decide on which color we wanted. There was no pressure to make a decision or get these chips back either. Adam installed two patios, some walkways, a built-in barbeque with a concrete bar, and a fire pit for us. There was some rock veneer work involved. The results are beautiful. I could tell we were in sync when he suggested the colors to use. The layout was a little tricky since the design was very linear and our house and garage are not situated squarely on the lot. Adam noticed this and provided a good solution. He made himself available throughout the job so that the result was what we wanted. He was on-site almost every day.
