I already had two piercings with butterfly backs but no one mentioned there is a different kind of back now where you screw a microscopic post into a tiny hole. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.

Well, there is no girl that works there, I was the customer waiting for someone to finish getting tattooed when she walked in asking for dermal jewelry. I told her hot topic and Steve told her piercing emporium. To give someone a bad review because they do not sell dermal jewelry(because they do not do dermal piercings) and a customer told you where to find that jewelry, is a bit extreme. It is not what he sells or where a customer told someone to go that determines if you are a good artist. I have an entire back piece by him and I am very thankful I chose him to do it. He created an amazing piece with meaning for me and all I did was give him ideas. Steve's ability to turn your ideas into amazing works of art is something you cannot find anymore. He is truly is the best tattoo artist I have ever found and I would never go anywhere else. The environment is very clean, comfortable, and professional. He is also great company as well. He takes pride in what he does and isn't just doing it to do it. He enjoys it and that is what makes a good artist.

I just left Rt 9 a few hours ago and started looking for where I could write this review. The long…read morestory short: 5/5 I recommend it to anyone in the area. Full story: A few months ago I went in to sit down with artist Bosco Layne, and give him an idea of what I wanted. I had trouble voicing exactly what I wanted but I brought reference pictures of other work I liked and some of his that I liked. A few weeks later I saw what he came up with and was thrilled. I was still booked a little while out so I had two sessions booked to just make any revisions I wanted and then the appointment. Bosco came up with something I liked so much I didn't need any revisions so these meetings were moot, but I'm glad we had the time to sit between them and reflect that I didn't want to change anything out. That leads me to today. The appointment went great, and the tattoo came out better than I could have hoped. The pricing was more than fair, and I couldn't be happier. They take COVID precautions seriously, I was temperature checked and everyone was masked the entire time I was there. I will be coming back to them in the future if I add on to this or get new work done for sure.

This is in direct violation of Federal law under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Department of Justice which states unless the dog is going to be a direct threat to the health or welfare a business must allow a service dog to accompany their human where the public is allowed. When in a room having a tattoo done a legitimate service dog would be on the floor or at least on the opposite side of the artist who would be holding the leash. The owner didn't even ask me the 2 legal questions he just assumed because I allowed my service dog a little leeway to say hello that it's a fake and would be in the way of the artist. I've been in there before with my service dog and had no problems. The last tattoo is the one I'm getting covered that was done there a couple of years ago. If you have a service dog save a headache and don't go here for a tattoo or piercing. I did have a body cam on and he even stated that he knew that I was recording which being a private business he could have told me when I walked in to turn it off but never did!

Since then, every artist I personally worked with at this studio has left. At this point, it's been four or five artists. I ultimately followed my artist after they left because I no longer felt comfortable in this environment. That decision came after seeing the same issues repeat themselves. Over time, I consistently heard the same concerns from different tattoo artists and clients. Artists described feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and bullied. This level of turnover is not normal. Tattoos are permanent. When a studio repeatedly drives artists away, trust is broken. I cannot recommend this studio.
