came in made an appointment owner was friendly welcoming and made sure to provide me with enough information to feel easy and less frightened for my tattoo . Cant say the same for the artists miles who was supposed to do my tattoo . he had no welcoming energy. He seemed rushed both times I came in for two different consultations. I still felt comfortable because the owner was welcoming. Well day of my tattoo he texted me same day to tell me hes going to be an hour late . I rescheduled with him on friday to do monday instead , i got no replies . monday gets here i head over to the shop its closed . He could have easily told me that when i texted him saying reschedule for monday over the weekend . I called him then he tells me their closed . Tuesday he calls me randomly while im at work i tell him ill call him after work and gave a time .I called after work and he had no idea who i was so i hung up he calls me ask if i wanted to reschedule cus he realized it was me i said yes I already gave a deposit his respond was well i can refund it . Im like okay sure . Dont know if hes racist or Just unmannered none the less terrible customer service waste of my time . read more

Most of my tattoos were done at Unholy Grail, by Angel. He is super nice and so talented and is a ton of fun to talk to about your ideas and get excited about your tattoo with. He's done a totally gorgeous horror portrait on me as well as some cartooney stuff and a really lovely pinup-type tattoo of Lily Munster. Eclectic style and excited to try different things! The shop is conveniently located, clean, comfortable and professional. I recommend it to people all the time. :) read more

Very professional shop. From the first consultation, to the drawing (which was complicated and Kelly nailed it) till the final execution. I was told not to go anywhere else in Central Ma. And they were right. To add to the experience Kelly was also a quite humorous and intelligent person keeping me entertained over and 8hr tattoo, all while being highly professional while she worked. I've been seeing Angel Santana of Unholy Grail Tattoo since 2009. He's done a 3/4 profile portrait on my throat, a piece on my thigh, a full sleeve, a back piece (in progress), and more. I'm queer and gender non-conforming and I've always felt comfortable and respected in my identity around him. I still go to him for most of my work, despite having relocated to Minneapolis. He's professional and gifted in the arts (beyond tattooing). What I appreciate most about him is that he is enthusiastic about his craft, and having the opportunity to do something unique, different, or exciting seems to literally bring him joy. It's awesome to see humble and gifted artists like Angel working in this field. He's even donated proceeds from his tattoo work to philanthropic causes. Needless to say, he's an indubitable asset to the tattoo community. read more

Great work. They took a drawing my daughter made at four years old and free handed it on my arm. Granted 4 year olds artistic skills are what 4 year olds do. This whilst getting slammed at rock and shock, without an appointment. What a great crew. I'm debating using them to revamp my 25yo tats. read more

I recently had a cover up done by Kelly. I am beyond satisfied with my piece and the over all experience of getting my tattoo done. Not only was the shop clean, pleasant to be in and professional, but each of the talented artist takes time to custom design a beautiful work of art. Kelly went out of her way to achieve everything I had envisioned. The other artist at the shop were also very kind and helpful. I just had my arm completed by Kelly. She is the only person who has ever worked on me and since day one she was nothing but a professional, she is an amazing artist and I could not be happier! She also is just a great person who makes you feel comfortable and talks you through it, especially some of those tough spots at hour 4! I doubt I would go elsewhere for a tattoo, the shop is new and clean and the owner and other artists have been nothing but professional and just good people. read more

The manager/owner mike needs a few lessons in customer service! Him and his artist Angel completely wasted my time. I thought this may have been a good choice because the artists seemed talented, but after a SCHEDULED consultation that started late, I wasn't satisfied with what Angel came up with for his impromptu attempt at my tattoo. Instead of taking the time to draw up something before hand(as promised) he "winged it" and essentially wasted my time. Then because I wasn't willing to give them a $150 (non-refundable) down payment, ultimately just trusting that even though I didn't like the consultation design, he would come up with something better after I paid him, they didn't want to make my tattoo a priority anymore. Days later I called on an update on my tattoo and I was told that there were others ahead of me and that I would have to just have to wait. Words of advice: COMMUNICATE! If Angel didn't have time to work on my tattoo that should have been communicated so that I didn't waste my time. Also, you need a better sales pitch! Down playing and dissing the other local shops in an effort to discourage me from doing business with them isn't the way to go. Focus on bettering your business management and customer service skills, and you may not have just turned my money and loyal business over to your competitors. GOOD LUCK! read more

I just left this shop and I am super impressed. I have been tattooed many times in all different shops. The whole place was very friendly and laid back, made me feel right at home...great customer service. Everyone in the shop made me feel welcome and comfortable. I had my tattoo done by Kelly, she was very friendly and sweet. She did an absolutely amazing job on my tattoo and I would recommend her highly. Great personality and really takes pride in her work. I went to this shop this afternoon to get my newborn daughters name and DOB tattooed on my chest to go along my other two daughters. I wanted the name to match the other names exactly. I was thinking this would be an easy task being that I contacted my previous tattoo artist to get the name of the font she used. I go to the place, show Mike (I think that's his name ,skinny dude with tats) the tattoo my chest and the names, tell him the font that was used (Bickham Font). He looks it up and then goes in the back. He didn't even print up the font to get it to match exactly. When he does finally come up front to get me after about 20 mins for a name that's 5 letters and f***ing date, when he placed the stencil on me, he did it all crooked. I don't know what the f**k he was thinking. It didn't even resemble the other two names. Is it really that hard to make a name line up the same as the others, and is it really that hard to print up and copy a font? After a couple of tries he kind of got it right and I blame myself for letting him continue. Now I have my daughters name on my chest in some freehand bs that I have to get lasered off in about 6 weeks to get the tattoo done correctly. Boy did I f**k up choosing this place!!! $80 wasted!!! I thought that was too much too. It looks like a cheap ass tattoo above my nice tattoo. read more
