With very little input from me and one week to think about it, he came up with an amazing partial cover and additions to my back piece that I had never thought of. While he worked on the piece he kept checking in with me to see how I was doing, and to let me know what he was doing. He also wasn't afraid to check in with other artists and get their input as he worked. 3 or 4 hrs later I left with a piece of art that completely transformed my original tattoo and left me wanting to add even more.. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.

We were originally scheduled to complete the tattoo at this year's expo, but the pandemic caused the event to cancel, but he offered to do it at his shop if I was willing to drive down to avoid having to cancel. The shop is industrial and antique in decor. He offers a comfortable environment with the option of music and Netflix to help pass the time. We started about 3-4 weeks in advance with me providing a tattoo idea. He provided some feedback, asked for some influences and then put together a tattoo idea that I absolutely loved. He fused the artistry of Charlie Medina with a character from the Avengers. It took approximately 9.5 hours to complete and it was worth every mile traveled and every penny spent. I was greeted by their piercer, Oz who was very patient explaining the paperwork thoroughly. They helped me select jewelry and explained the different metals and prices on everything. Jay, the owner, was the one to pierce me. His piercing shop is the cleanest one I've ever seen. My body rejected in the same place prior to seeking out Elegance and a month later the new one is healed with out the issues like I've had with other piercing studios. Jay was thorough in explaining after care for all three piercings and I even got a goodie bag at the end. My boyfriend and I will be going back for all of our piercings in the future!
