And then honestly I chose them because the name reminded me of Harry Potter, lol. I had gotten my ears pierced back in the 1980s and one hole had since closed up so I needed it repierced. This place was amazing! A very peaceful atmosphere. Clean, quiet, welcoming. Robyn was great. She explained everything to me and kept me totally apprised of what she was doing. They had a great selection of earrings. I went back for a free follow-up about 4 months later and to get the post downsized (they start you out with a longer post in case your ear swells). There was just one part of the process I'll mention that didn't make sense. When I walked in and before anything was done, I had to sign a waiver. Which is fine, but one of the questions was "Have the aftercare instructions been explained to you?" Which of course is no right when I've walked in. Nobody is going to tell you about after care before you've even had the piercing done. If I had gotten these instructions right at the start I'm sure I wouldn't have remembered them after I left because I was thinking about the upcoming procedure. I'm sure this is an industry-standard form but this question doesn't make sense. Robyn did explain the care to me after the piercing, which is as it should be. So back to my experience. The actual piercing hurt much less than I was expecting based on the earring gun at the shopping mall decades ago. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 2. (Contrast this with the mall gun which was about an 8 at the time). I don't have a lot of piercings so I probably won't ever have the need to go back, but if I ever did want to have another piercing done, this is definitely where I would go. I highly recommend it. And I got a goodie bag when I left containing saline solution, a sticker, and candy! What could be better?

I already had two piercings with butterfly backs but no one mentioned there is a different kind of back now where you screw a microscopic post into a tiny hole. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.

I asked if a piercing was possible, I was told to book a non refundable appointment and then turned away from the piercer for not having the right "anatomy" for a lip piercing. When I gave a review with feedback on the service I was told that I was hostile and rude. My friend came with me and even she is surprised by the response this business gave me. Even though I was scammed out of $50 and talked down to by the staff, I still remained calm and kind. It's a good place to go to if you want your day ruined.
