My go-to for grilled oysters and appetizers. Tried the fried seafood and wasn't impressed. Most places have catfish on the menu and we're likely paying the price but they are serving Swai, Sole or whitefish there is a huge difference in taste. Staff is friendly here. They get 4 Stars! read more

The staff is so sweet and attentive. Fun atmosphere and great little neighborhood gathering. Lunch menu was filled w good choices and great prices. The food was good but reason for 3 stars was the quality of the food has gone down. Although the food was delicious, I had the catfish (fried) and it seemed like the fish was so thin that the fried made it crispy. There was no middle part with the fish being plump at any part. It was like they halved the fish (from front to back) to make it into 2. I like the breading but it was nothing but breading. I had to pour a whole lemon on it to soften it up. This has never happened before so I will go back and give another try because this place is super welcoming and everyone is nice. Maybe it was just this time or a lunch thing; dunno! I ordered a snow crab boil to go at Bluewater on Champions. I got home and it was not in a bag with the seaoning. Crab legs in a carry out container, one potato and corn cob in a container. What happened to the crab boil being in a bag with seasonings. I tasted no seasoning. Very disappointed with it. I truly like Bluewater. But this crab boil was a big disappointment. Came for our 18th anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. Crab was wonderful. Blackened catfish and shrimp cuatro were very fresh and delicious. The service was lacking compared to the food. Our server was very nice but kept forgetting to bring items we asked for, when we ordered drinks they would be watered down when they reached the table. Really disappointed. I was craving fresh boiled crawfish, but didn't feel like driving out to get it. Ordered 3 pounds via Uber eats. The price was more than most of the places around here, but I figured what the heck I had eaten here a couple years ago and it was good. Today I received a bag of crawfish that was mushy beyond belief. They were tiny. Most of the weight were random claws that were at the bottom of the bag. No I do realize the longer crawfish are cooked. They get a little mushy and harder to peel, but my driver was actually pretty quick. She picked them up promptly and brought them over within 12 minutes. I actually couldn't believe how horrible they were. I did eat them as they were already here and I wasn't about to drive out and return them. I'm leaving this here for anybody who is considering crawfish from here. Will also be posting on the foodie pages on Facebook. Much better places to get crawfish, what a waste of almost $50. read more

Some of the best crawfish I have had in a long time. I got the spicy garlic flavor and it was so juicy and the perfect spice level. The crawfish were all really good sized and all of them were cooked perfectly. The service was excellent we chose the outside seating and it was a very clean establishment. We went to Bluewater Seafood last night. We totally didn't go for crawfish. I just thought the menu looked good but when we got there, I couldn't resist. At first we said we were going to get just shrimp and crab because we have had tons of great crawfish this year but at the last minute my husband decided on 2 pounds of crawfish to try. This is not traditional Louisiana boil and more of the Asian fusion but good in its own way. We got the crab trio and 1 pound of shrimp and both came with corn and potatoes. So they have a Cajun, spicy garlic, and extra spicy if I remember correctly. Our server was really nice and even brought us a sample. Three crawfish with one of each. I was kinda digging the spicy garlic when we tried them so we went with that on the crab and crawfish but just Cajun on the shrimp. In the end, I think I liked all three mixed together more than I liked it alone. The garlic got to be a little much but when you mixed it with the lemon juice and butter, it was good. My only real complaint is these crawfish were DIRTY and tasted so. They did not clean them. We didn't love them. I wouldn't get crawfish there again but we would go back for the other stuff. They were good size though! And easy to peel. Just they REALLY need to purge their crawfish. Now, the shrimp were a great size and easy to peel and so were the crabs. And the crabs were full of meat, not like some places all empty. I would definitely get the extra spicy next time, I think that would have been perfect. The Cajun was just lacking some but it was still good. They don't boil corn or potatoes in the seasoning, just in plain water. Just so you know. Also, we had the crab stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeños which were really good. All in all, I was really happy. Got lots of seafood and it was delicious. We would definitely go back for shrimp and crabs. If I want to buy boiled crawfish, I will stick with Juicy Head Crawfish or Kaleb's Crawfish. It was the first date night we've had in a long time and most definitely a splurge but we enjoyed it. Just hope to help some other fellow seafood lovers out. read more

Came here for a NYE's dinner and was HIGHLY disappointed with their lack of customer service and business ethics. After calling ahead of time TWICE to confirm their hours for today (closing at 10:30), we walked in only to be told by the hostess that they'll be closing in 30 min which would've been 9:30. Upon sitting down we saw multiple tables that were dirty. The one we sat down at had smudged ketchup on it & before I could even utter the request to have it cleaned up the hostess placed the menu right on it. I asked if she could clean it up. Next, when our server came out he told us that we had 5 minutes to place an order - we hadn't even had the chance to look at the menu! So after we put our drinks in and then our order, part of our order (1lb & 1/2 dungess) came in a minute - a bit suspect. The order was wrong any way as far as the seasoning and missing the extra potatoes. Then the manager came out and told us the snow crab portion of our meal was out - how convenient. My husband was a bit fed up at this point and shared his his thoughts. The manager explained that the snow crabs would take an additional 30 min, in which my husband said we'd wait. Me personally it was just the signs of poor service, so any & everything could continue to go downhill from here - NOT the way I want to spend NYE's. I made the executive decision to go somewhere else with far better service and respect for their customers, and Crafty Crab came through. read more

The fish was tasteless, no seasoning. Again no flavor to the gumbo. I took one look at the fried okra and could see that it was fried in old oil. Again, no seasoning. Pretty disappointing. My son wanted crawfish, which he got - they were very small..my wife ordered blackened catfish and said it was too salty. I ordered fried crawfish and etouffee and as you can see from the pictures, I initially thought they made a mistake and brought me the child's portion. There were about 15 crawfish in the fried crawfish and maybe 8 in the etouffee. I'll go to Pappadeaux, Babins, Drunken Oyster or another place next time. Food was great. Our group had shrimp and grits, catfish, chef salad and a kid's meal. Excellent meal for all, perfectly prepared and seasoned. The downside was we ate in the outside area and the service was not good. We asked for extra plates for two of the orders. With our food getting cold we waited over 15 minutes for the first plate after asking a different person. Second plate we never got. And were never offered additional beverages at all. Finally got our bill and asked for some extra water. The bill was paid but no water provided at all. In our server's defense they did have additional tables inside. Bluewater you might consider having an assigned team just for outside. The extremely long waits between seeing a server and getting the small things we requested made our meal very difficult to enjoy. You're better than this. read more

First let me start by saying our server Liz was exceptional!!!! Very attentive and knowledgeable. Secondly this place was packed!!!! And at the end of the day, I can see why? I won't bore you with too many details ... because simply put if you are a lover of seafood, you can find most things seafood here. And at least from the things we ordered ... I think it's a safe bet to say they are all good! This was our first time here after hearing good things, so we just decided to kind of order various things off the menu to see what we liked... Three stars if you avoid the fake catfish. I like the fried tomato and fried zucchini. They promote catfish but that's not true. It's Swai which is not a catfish not any part of the catfish family. I don't give 5 stars freely. 2lbs garlic butter extra spicy crawfish: my mind was not loaded with high expectations. To be expected it is still fairly early for good crawfish. Size was mix between small and medium. Garlic was light but they cant do it like viets. The Cajun was light as well I had to do it dip style to get some heat. Oysters bluewater (6): I tried these grilled oysters because I don't like them raw. Yet I still wasn't a fan. Ha Long island: cant really screw up a long island unless you cant portion the alcohol right. This was good. Texas Tea: This was ok I cant tell if I liked it, couldn't tell if it was the rum or the tequila ruining it for me. Probably the rum. But the after taste tasted like tequila. And I wince at tequila but enjoy the buzz after. So mixed feelings. I will back when it gets closer to season. Or to drink more lol. Staff was extremely friendly, John was my server in the bar. This was by far one of the best bar service experience I've had. Cons: women's restroom door handle is broke goes 360 around. Toilet on the right doesn't flush reminded me of a porter potty. I usually come to Bluewater every weekend during crawfish season. A good 5 pounds and some boudin balls. Make for a perfect Saturday. Today we tried the spicy garlic crawfish. I ordered 5 pounds. Let me start by saying the crawfish had a TON of garlic (which I love) but not a lot of heat or flavor. I understand that crawfish can be somewhat hard to penetrate, by if you advertise something as "spicy" I should feel at least SOME heat. The food overall was good. Can't go wrong with their boudin balls. The staff however, need a little training on customer service and attentiveness. Our waitress was awesome, but when we walked in, we stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes while a young man held his head down and scribbled on a piece of paper. It was only AFTER we said hello, that he actually acknowledged us. Then when our boudin balls arrived, the waiter stood there with them in his hand waiting on one of us to take the plate instead of just setting it down in the middle of the table. All in all good crawfish. Nice size. I do hope that management improves their staff and that the cooks increase the flavor. read more
