Blue Water gets me coming back in for reasons I sometimes can't explain. The lunch deal is good 2 out 3 times. 3 out of 4 times you can smell cigarettes from the bar. 4 out of 5 times the service is great. They can put out a nice piece of fried fish. They can put out some nice fresh oysters. They can serve you a decent gumbo. They can bring you some nice hand made onion rings. They can cook the hot wings correctly. The problem is they don't always do these things and yet I go back. There is something about the dinginess of this place that has some appeal some days. Maybe its those days when I don't want Asian, Mexican, or burgers. It's not like we have a lot of gems to choose from in this area. Just know that some days they will be very mediocre. Then some days they will be really good. read more

Nice folks. Jacob was an excellent server & super helpful. He gave great ordering suggestions. Good food... it was fresh and properly cooked. We had blackened redfish with crawfish sauce, fried catfish, fried crawfish, crawfish etouffee, chicken fingers, a burger, firecracker shrimp appetizer, a cup of shrimp gumbo. Gumbo was decent for restaurant gumbo in Texas. We really enjoyed our food. And we had fun singing Happy Birthday to several tables of birthday celebrators. The funniest thing though was accidently using the unlabeled condiment containers... the yellow one wasn't mustard and the clear one wasn't barbecue sauce... so the burger was mistreated, but Jacob came to the rescue with a side of BBQ sauce and fresh grilled onions to replace the ones covered with the surprise sauces from the condiment containers... We had a good laugh, a good time and good food for a good price. read more

We tried the roasted oysters, they were great! Dinners were also A+. Staff seemed unhappy, but efficient.

Haven't been back to this place in over 10 years... So Sorry we waited so long! Our server was Sarah and she was warm, friendly, informative and her timing was good. We started with a Bloody Mary (which was delicious), Shiner Bock, a dozen oysters on the half shell and a crawfish pistolet. (Oysters are $1.00 off per dz. on Mondays.) They tasted good but were a bit small. It was not served with lemon. I requested some but they never came. Hubby ordered the shrimp diablo with shrimp fried rice, grilled veggies with an additional 4 grilled shrimp. He said it was tasty. I had the 1/2 dz fried shrimp and substituted fries with fried zucchini. Shrimp were crispy ad tasty. I liked the zuchini but wished there was more coating and would have been done a little more to make them crispy. A gentleman came around and chatted with the tables (not sure if owner or manager). He was very nice and asked how our meals were. We said good, but I mentioned my suggestion on the zucchini and he agreed and thanked me. I wish I would have mentioned one more thing... The very long bench booth seat where I sat was too short in the seat. The bottom was not deep enough to accommodate the thickness of the back cushion. I am 5'4" and it was a bit uncomfortable. Maybe better for kids. The food was good and we had a nice time - We'll be back. (next time I will pick a booth ;) ) P.S. In response to Brittney A. = I tried to respond and it deleted the message. The Bloody Mary was delicious. I would have preferred the olives on a skewer (instead of loose) and a celery stalk to munch on... ;) read more

Shot out to our server Cruz Santos for getting us crawfish after they ran out! Definitely be back! Great service!

Very very good, our server, John, was very polite and attentive. The loaded gumbo was just that, it was full of shrimp and sausage.. very tasty. The blacked catfish dinner was enough for two of us to share. So glad it's not just another fried fish place. Looking forward to going again, I think this is our new favorite restaurant. . read more

5 stars for Austin - he provided great service. 5 stars for taste. Everything had good flavor. 3-4 stars for value. One meal was $20 for a handful of fried crawfish tails, a dipping bowl of etouffee, 2 small hushpuppies and krinkle fries. Another meal was $16 for 1 piece of fried fish, 4 fried shrimp, steak fries and 2 small hushpuppies. If you take away the french fries, both those plates were pretty empty and left both people hungry. HOWEVER, a "Boiling Pot" meal for $27 was enough boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, and sausage to feed 3 people. Definitely the better value! My recommendation would be to stick to their appetizers and the Boiling Pot if you want value. And you can order fried CF by itself, add a cup of gumbo by itself, skip the fries, and save yourself $5 when compared to the meal. Definitely will go back but will take a different approach and order a la carte to save money. read more

I ordered to go one night because I'm pregnant and craving crawfish. They were not well seasoned. I asked for extra butter and it was not on the side unless they covered the crawfish in that. But ugh very disappointing. I also ordered buffalo wings... they were breaded (not very good fried wings) with the sauce on the side. I will not be returning. First impressions are everything and I'm not a fan. read more

Ordered 70lbs of crawfish 2 weeks ago for pick up today at 10am, show up and they do not have my crawfish....sold it to a guy who arrived before me!! TERRIBLE customer service and initially the manager on duty, Jose or something like that was outright RUDE to me. On the other hand, the manager Victor tried to make things right by discounting the crawfish slightly. After a 60 minutes wait, when 15 minutes was promised, I was on my way with crawfish. The crawfish were good size. We are new to the area and really enjoy having crawfish at the Bluewater Seafood both in Champions and on 290. We are going back on Saturday night for a birthday dinner with my dad so let's see how service is at that time. read more

We heard about this place for a long time. So we went for lunch today. Boiled Crawfish is very fresh but it is so salty and very small. At $11 per pound, I was expecting bigger crawfish. We also ordered Fried snapper and blacked tilapia. Both are good but not something we will longing to come back for. Our server is a very pleasant guy. We tipped him well;) read more

Great service by "Cody", great atmosphere, all in all a great place.

Lexi was our server. She was fantastic! Friendly and efficient. We got our regular- Grilled shrimp, salad and fried rice. The Fried rice was full of additional shrimp! This is our go to seafood place! A coupon for free coconut shrimp was just a bonus! Delicious!! read more

Since I paid the check I'm sending this comment. This was the worst carry out experience I've ever had. I'm visiting my family here in Spring as I live in Canada. We were missing food in our order and also charged for an additional combo we didn't order. My check was almost $100 and the quality of service nor the food met my expectations. So disappointed. To go orders should be checked and rechecked. The price I paid surely did NOT have the quality, taste, or service. I'm moving here soon and definitely won't recommend your business to anyone. read more

Ordered 1 lb fried shrimp and crab cakes to go. The fried shrimp were the largest, tastiest, best Prepared I've had in years, were packed well and traveled well. A good value. The French fries were under seasoned and I will get a different side in the future. My husband enjoyed the small crab cakes that come 2 to an order as an appetizer. Curbside service was nice, hope to see them wearing masks next time we order. read more

First time guests here and the service was amazing! Hostess were friendly and attentive and our sever Taylor hands down was the best server we have come across in a while. He was super knowledgeable and gave us the rundown about that place and the food. Everything he recommended we tried, he sold us on the great specials they have going on along with the other items on the menu. Bartender who made our drinks did an amazing job as well. Everyone was super sweet and friendly you definitely feel the hospitality come through here. Management should feel proud of their staff. If you love seafood and want a great family spot Bluewater Seafood is the spot. We will definitely be back. read more

Really good food, somewhat slow service but over all a good and fantastic place to get good quality seafood! Definitely recommend.

GIANT RAT FELL FROM CEILING While dining with out of town guest during our entree a GIANT RAT fell from the ceiling, landed on me, ran around on our table and then scurried off. It was an awful experience, it was handled poorly and I believe is a public health risk. I contacted the Harris County Health Inspectors and they are opening a file to investigate. read more

The food is great. The service is horrendous. I tried to go back several times but its always the same story. Your stoned waiter is either too dumb or too lazy to get you what you need. Your crawfish will be great you just better hope they don't make you thirsty. read more

The food was good especially oysters on the half shell. I feel like the wait service could have been better but the food itself came very quickly. I'll definitely still come back. The waiter may have just been getting busy or having an "off" night. read more

1st time here for me and my hubby. The atmosphere was nice for a Friday afternoon. We made it in before the crowd. It was very clean, friendly staff but the food was ok. The green beans had a really good taste but there was do much butter on them that it hurt my stomach. Same for the grilled tilapia- way too much butter. I chose that dish as a healthy food choice but ended up not eating it. My husband enjoyed his creole shrimp. Although after we are his response was, "We could have made this at home."- so again.... 3 stars. #MsTiffanyRealtor read more

I have only visited once at it was pretty darn solid. Can't wait to try out other things on their menu. Popular and reasonably priced.

Amazing food, although the seafood is better cooked than the non-seafood items which completely makes sense as this is a seafood restaurant but I appreciate that they at least considered other food for people who don't like seafood. The staff made a few mistakes, but made up for them completely by making me feel comfortable, having a kind attitude, profusely apologizing, and being overall kind to me. read more

I can't write a review on the food because I waited 10 minutes after being seated and no one even acknowledged I was there. The people around me were getting service. Even the people on the patio that came in ahead of me were getting service. Several servers too. It was 1:30 in the afternoon and was not busy at all. Will not attempt to eat here again. read more

We have been going to a Blue Water for years and always enjoyed the food and service. However we went today and the food and the service was good. I paid the tab and added a tip. when I got home I unfolded the itemized receipt (it was folded four times) and realized that they already added the tip. so lesson learned. I will always unwrap the itemized receipt before I sign the check. I think this was a very sneaky way to get an extra tip. Update: the manager contacted me, apologized and will refund the extra tip. read more

Came here to try some crawfish, was not into it at all I love crawfish and I know what it tastes like. These tasted rotten and had this gooey aftertaste. Luckily the manager was nice enough to take it off my ticket, but defiantly going to wait until the actual season to come back! read more

Sure, the place looks great, but the service really stinks. We waited for way too long for iced tea, then our food (appetizer included) all arrived at the same time, BEFORE our drinks. The food is good, well seasoned and cooked. The value is ok. But as far as the service? No way. My husband and I split a dinner and even after requests, I never received a secondbplate to eat off of. Seemed to be lots of waiters/waitresses, but it was chaotic. read more

We love this place. It was good before the remodeling and now it's great. The Oysters are the best around, either grilled or on the half shell and they are BIG. We also like the Fried Shrimp, and Catfish as well as the boiled Crawfish. Lots of fun in the bar; great atmosphere. Not far from the house which makes take out very easy. We get food from here at least once a week. Warning, it can get very busy and very noisy. Be prepared for a wait at peak times. read more
